Love this place - quick and fresh food served cafe-style with many well-seasoned meats and several vegan protein options served with fresh veggies and many salsas. Service is quick and friendly, and the place is generally casual with cafeteria-style tables and plasticware. Elevated fast, fresh, food with healthy options.

Delicious food! I love the enchiladas molè! Very nice local family! Support local. Stay away from the chains or chains from Australia!

They have fresh and delicious food, a clean facility, and kind and welcoming staff! The guacamole is a must-try. Don't be a fool and get a small size because you'll find yourself wanting more! They provide consistently great food and many options and combinations. They serve you quickly without sacrificing quality or proportions. I look forward to working my way through the extensive menu options!

Hadn't been in a while & they've since updated their menu! I tried the burrito this time. You add whatever ingredients you want to your burrito! They're huge! Everything is so fresh!

Not meat and cheese only.

Might've been good had they read the directions. Meat and cheese only. Need to add more characters...well I was starving and coworker said it was good but you messed the main order up.

You've arrived

Wander in to find a friendly, tasty taco etc. emporium. You can choose the number of tacos you want. The items are generously filled. Delicious! The servers are happy to see you. Simple. Great!

Food OK, service meh, no real enthusiasm in the building. The staff seemed like they had to be there not excited to assist anyone.

Very authentic, and can't find another place that can top this place. My Mexican friends love this place too, so if the real Mexicans like the food, it must be real and authentic!

It can get busy around 12PM. Food wise, it's ok, portions are generous. However carne asada is a little dry and cut into tiny pieces. Not my favorite cut of beef, this isn't some juicy outside skirt steak you get at some places. The al pastor is better for sure. A burrito or taco dinner with no drinks will run you about $20 so it's in line with most places as far as pricing is concerned maybe slight pricey for the type of joint this is. No free chips and salsa its a express shit down and go spot.I wish they had free water but they don't. Service is pretty good, they like to bring the food out to your table after you order but don't give you a number and on several occasions they have walked around asking if this your food. Just make it more efficient and give out numbers! Ive also had orders taken incorrectly. Co worker ordered taco dinner, I heard him, and just tacos came. When he asked about it the cashier was like "No you didn't but I'll get it for you", I know he did cause I was right there. Same happened to me, they always make it right but with comment like it's the customers fault. Take accountability guys. Overall the place is good and with small changes it can be much better. 1. Provide free water 2. Better skirt steak 3. Give numbers

Let me start by saying....wow. I had only been here once before in around 2019 or so. I'm not in…read morethe area often, so when I had to go to the DMV, I actually waited 30 minutes after I was done for them to open. Didn't disappoint. Here are my highlights: Quesabirria- insanely delicious. So much flavor in the taco and the broth. Their homemade tortillas are perfect for this because I made the 25 minute drive home and surprisingly the tortillas hadn't fallen apart under the weight of the sauciness like other places. I would eat this all day if I could. Asada- They take a normal popular taco and make it even better. Nice big chunks of juicy, well marinated and seasoned steak. Best steak taco I have had that I can remember. Tinga- Great flavor without being too spicy, which is nice because as I get older my body actively refuses dishes that are too spicy lol Rice and beans- So much flavor! Love that they use black beans. Much better than most places. Chorizo con queso fundido- my least favorite. Only because it seemed more like a chorizo taco, had a hard time noticing any cheese. I saw there was a sign for tamale Tuesdays and I might make another special trip just for that. This place is amazing and the prices may be a little higher, but you can tell by the flavor and quality of ingredients that it's worth every penny. Everything is homemade down do their amazing sauces. They have a fan in me.

On the food alone, it punches well above its off-the-beaten-path address. The problem is the price - it's set for a nicer establishment. The decor forces you to avert your eyes, so keep them on the plate, where the value is. Look the part or price the part; right now it's neither. Then the 3% credit-card fee is undisclosed - I only found out by asking. Post it before I pay - don't make me play detective at the register. What cost the star was the reply when I asked: "Ask the boss, I just work here." That's not an answer to a paying customer, and at a place this size you're the whole service. Train for that one sentence and the visit changes. Four stars, all earned by the kitchen. The fifth costs nothing but a fee posted honestly and a staffer who acts like the customer matters.

I came across the reviews of Guzman y Gomez on Yelp, and it sounded great, and we decided to try it. When I looked it up, I found out that if I ordered through the app we could start earning rewards, so we did this, and went inside to pick up the order and eat. Everything was ready and waiting in a large bag for us to pick up. We grabbed it at the pick up window, and went into the dining area to sit and eat. I ordered two tacos, and my husband got a burrito. With the tacos, I chose ground beef, and chose mild on the seasoning. They were very good, although I think next time I'll try spicy and see if I like that even better. But what set them apart was that the taco shells themselves had some taco seasoning on them that was delicious. The tacos also just had the basics, which is how I like them - meat, cheese, and salsa. And two were plenty for me, very substantial. My husband tried the ground beef burrito, which was huge. He could only eat half, and took the other half to eat later. He said he enjoyed it a lot. We were looking forward to going back, but I read just now that all the Chicago locations have closed as of today. That's a shame, because we really liked it a lot.

All the ingredients are standard with the Cali burrito. You can choose from a spice level mid or spicy . I went with eh spicy . They have a lot of protein you can choose from like grilled chicken, sirloin, steak, Carnitas, shredded beef, brisket, seasoned ground beef, or sautéed vegetables with guacamole. The burritos is on the smaller side, but it packs a punch full of flavor. From the fries to the salsa to the fresh pico. Highly recommended the Cali burrito. They also have this salsas, cilantro, and jalapeño and spicy pickled carrots station where you can help yourself . They also serve liquor here . The decor inside definitely has the Spanish theme. From the art on the wall to the vines hanging down from the ceiling . The service is great. I love how they have the open kitchen where you can see them cook.

I…read moreoriginally picked the place based on pictures of their nachos online, and they did not disappoint. The presentation was spot on, and every layer was generously coated with toppings. The only minor drawback was that the added protein felt a bit sparse, so I would likely skip paying extra for that on the next visit. As for the kids, they completely devoured the chicken quesadillas before I even got a chance to try a bite, which is a ringing endorsement in itself. The tacos here diverge from traditional street tacos. Instead of a light balance, they pack in a much higher meat-to-topping ratio. We tried the barbacoa and chicken tinga, both of which were expertly prepared and packed with rich, delicious flavor. However, because they are so heavily loaded and juicy, the tortillas simply could not maintain structural integrity. It was impossible to pick them up and eat them like standard tacos, but attacking them with a fork solved the problem easily enough. A special shoutout goes to the house-made salsas. Both the red and green options were outstanding and elevated every bite. Overall, the atmosphere and quality land right in that sweet spot--an upgraded, elevated step above a chain like Chipotle, while still being more casual than a sit-down, traditional Mexican restaurant. Paired with exceptionally friendly staff service, it was a great experience and a spot we would happily return to. Great outdoor seating.
