Cabo Bobs used to be one of my favorite places to grab fast food that didn't seem fast and actually was so yummy! Now, I don't know that I can go back. The past 3 times we have gone ( and even to different locations), it's been so awful. Greasy - SO GREASY - food that just isn't even edible. I always get the kids quesadilla meal - I can't even finish that, much less the normal ones, so the portions are really awesome and another reason I loved them. The chips were so greasy, then, the grease dripping and forming a pool in my container - I took a few bites and just couldn't do any more. They've expanded immensely since opening here in Austin, so I don't know if the growth is the reason for the lack of quality, but I just can't keep spending money with a place that continues to lower it's standards of quality. read more

10/10 This place blew us away!!! So in the surface this place looks like a slight variation of Chipotle and I guess in some ways that is true BUT the taste of the food is 1 BILLION TIMES BETTER The line moves fast, the staff was so nice, and the seating was plenty and comfortable Ok the Food that's why you read reviews right? Well we read reviews and checked the pics before hand and expected it would be good but that is a serious understatement. My son had the grilled chicken and you would have thought he was eating crack cocaine by his reaction. He wanted MORE, MORE, MORE and mommy and daddy felt the same. We both got some type of fried fish burritos customized to our taste with different burrito wraps and wow we both just kept saying WoW this is delicious. We also got a small chips with guac and a small chips with queso. We loved both but both agreed the guac was the winner. And also both agreed one small chip order next time because we were beyond stuffed. I would have took pictures of the food but to be honest the food doesn't look fancy or special. Just know the portions are gigantic, the prices are low, they make their own soda with cane sugar, plenty of delicious sauces/ salsas to choose from. Ohhhh yes we will be back whenever we are in the area. And can not recommended this place highly enough. Out of 5 Stars we give it 10 Stars read more

Cabo Bob's Burritos - The Food was so Amazing that we had to take a Spontaneous Family Photo to capture the moment - Tacos Near Me - Austin, Texas

This place is great if you are hungry but beware there is often a line out the door. If you have time, it's worth the wait. This has been a favorite for us for a while but I was pleasantly surprised that they have added chips and queso to their offerings. You can get a bowl, tacos or burritos. They have choices of different flavor tortillas you pick and watch be cooked in front of you for a super fresh meal. You can see all the toppings as you go down the line to pick and they are generous. Their mango pico is so good. Try the spicy sauce! Always friendly and efficient even when slammed. Looks like south Austin is getting a 3nd location. We couldn't be happier! read more

Everything is great food, ambience, and service Cabo Bob's gets five stars. The food is excellent always fresh. There's not one thing on their menu that you won't like. I settle for store-bought packaged tortillas when you can get fresh product pressed right in front of you if you want real homemade tortillas from scratch, Cabo Bobbs is for you read more

This is a great, fast, but quality ingredients place. Which is a HUGE plus for me. You can easily order online, everything's in steps, so you don't have to be guilty when ordering for kids and saying no this and no that... Love that they make in house tortillas. And they are aware and make an effort for allergies! There is so little I can eat, so when I can keep it simple, this place was perfect. Only negative comment is burrito was clearly built by someone who doesn't eat burritos, over half was all rice and all the good stuff was at the end. read more

Cabo Bob's Burritos - The order was not followed at all - Tacos Near Me - Austin, Texas

Ok next time I'm in Austin I'm coming back. Man it was busy. The fresh tortillas are awesome. Lemonade was a tad sweet for my taste but still good. I got the number 6 and would get it again after I try some other yummy looking stuff. read more

No contest, the best bang for your burrito buck. Even when you go lean with just veggies, they absolutely LOAD those tortillas and swaddle them like pros. There was serious skill that went into wrapping my burrito torpedo, that weighed in at over 1 pound of food and yes, I took it home and put it on the scale to check, because it was that thicc. All that for $8 and change? Everyday, any day. The sauteed zucchinis are the best part and most unique filling when it comes to the standard array of fast food options. Oh, I take that back; the mango pico is something else entirely, bringing in a bit of tropical sweetness to balance all the savory, spicy, salty flavors going on. Next time, I need to get the chips and guac because I clearly missed out based on the photos I'm seeing. read more

Customer service was terrible ordered through the app order was ready for pickup workers had no clue , waiting waiting waiting my burritos were left on a cold table with no name tag cold disappointed read more

Absolutely disgusting experience. I was eating inside and the staff actually allowed a woman to bring her dog into the restaurant. Totally unacceptable in a place where people are eating food. It's unsanitary, unprofessional, and shows zero respect for customers. I couldn't even enjoy my meal because of it. If management thinks this is okay, they clearly don't care about health standards or their guests. I won't be back, and I'd recommend avoiding this place altogether. read more

I placed a pickup order and for the price of the food you get a lot, which is great! It kept me full for hours. I got a chicken quesadilla and honestly they were very stingy with how much meat they put on. I got rice, which I thought would be on the side but they put it inside. It was mostly just rice and tortilla that I felt like I was eating. I would make sure next time it was on the side. The chips and queso were really good. I was parked at curbside waiting for my order to come out for 10 minutes and no one came, so I went inside and it was sitting right there and no one wanted to bring it outside. read more

One of the best values for one of the best burritos in town. They pack them full and I love how they make your tortilla fresh right in front of you. So good! There's a reason there's always a line. The workers are doing their best to get everyone through a sort of organized chaos. Only time I've had to wait too long is when some guy tried to make his own mini catered dinner. Definitely recommend it, and get a punch card. read more

I am SO happy right now. The only thing wrong with this place is it's not located in South Florida! REAL authentic tortilla chips. So many choices of Taco or Burritto shells the corn taco is so good it puts all other corn tacos to shame Like the Smoky Cheddar shells too. The fried fish is amazing especially with poblano pepper onions, rice beans, cilantro and Pico de gallo. Also shredded pork so good. The line is out the door during lunch but so worth it! ‍ read more

Food- 3.5 stars. Good but not the best Cabo Bo's. After 3 visits, it's consistently served dry fish, which the other locations do not. Service- 4 stars. Good counter service. Ambiance- 3.5 stars for what it is but restaurant workers always seem to take up the entire table on far left wall and leave it filthy with food all over when they return from their break! Customers clean up after themselves better! Otherwise would be 4 stars because it's a cool theme read more

I stopped by Cabo Bob's Burritos while visiting Austin because of recommendations from friends. The food did not meet my expectations. You start off picking a tortilla, they come in unique different flavors. Another thing I did like was that the tortilla was pressed right when you made a selection. Then, you choose your meats, toppings, and sauces. The meats were standard although there was some choices I have never seen at other burrito places (fish and brisket). The toppings were basic and they have many different options for sauces. The burrito was extremely bland and stuffed with mostly rice so thats all you can taste. The meat quality was very poor. I could barely taste the ancho ranch that I asked for in my burrito. I got two burritos with the same fillings but they were very disproportionate for the same price. The queso was poor quality and it tasted equivalent to the nacho cheese you get from the gas station. The tortilla chips on the other hand were thick and crispy and probably the best part of the meal. The line was very long and it wrapped around the restaurant to the door. I waited 30 minutes to order my burrito. The inside of the restaurant was not very clean. The tables were dirty along with the bathroom which was too gross for me to use. Even though there was a lot of people waiting in line, there was plenty of seating in the restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and relaxed. Cabo Bob's lacks flavor even when you use their sauces. Overall, the quality of the ingredients are decent minus the meat. read more

Best burrito and best quality. Nothing better than bobs on a weekday. Number 1 place to go to hit ur goals

Fattest fish burrito around. You always get enough food here. The hot sauce choices are so good. There's usually a long wait at lunch so get there early or order online and pick up. read more

This is a weekly staple for me, as it has completely replaced chipotle or free-birds in my rotation. Everything is made fresh and it is obviously that's the case. Also it is really reasonable with it being as cheap if not cheaper than chipotle! But I do have 3 knocks on it, 1. They don't have a hot sauce spicy enough for a spice head like me 2. They have absolutely no alcoholic options, so be prepared to drink pop or water. And 3. The line to get a burrito can be extremely long and while they have an online order option, it is never the same as getting that fresh burrito. Sometimes it can take 30 min before you get to order. Overall, this place is amazing and you'd be doing a disservice to not try it! read more

Wow!! First time ordering for me and my 2yr old granddaughter. Kids brisket taco w/pintos and cheese for her, brisket burrito on ancho chile tortilla w/Baja Beans, rice, cheese for me. Cabo Bob's has been on my radar since undergrad (sooo, not to date myself but 10+ years now!). They stand out to me because they're Chipotle-style - in terms of serving - BUT they press and make fresh flour tortillas in front of you to start your order! The tortilla doughs are made from scratch & there are 4 different flavors: Buttermilk, Ancho Chili, Cilantro Tomatillo, Smoky Cheddar. If you get a full-size burrito - pro-tip: you can mix 2 different doughs! I went for the Bob's Special Deluxe Fish Tacos (Cilantro tomatillo, ancho chili & buttermilk tortillas, crispy fish, Chipotle Crema, Mango Pico, guacamole, cheese, shredded cabbage) -- pretty damn good fish tacos. The fish was crispy and tasty. I didn't think I would like guac and cheese and crema but I was wrong, all the flavors paired really nicely together. I could taste the subtleties from the different doughs. We stopped at this specific location on the way to the airport, but Cabo Bob's has locations all over ATX! read more

This weekend was my first time at this place and I have to say I loved it. The food and place is just amazing. All the employees were nice and respectful, but I have to say, the male employee named Manuel who made my tortilla was excellent, he recommended me the Cilantro tomatillo burrito and chicken for protein, he also told me since it was my first time I could get a free chips and queso, Shoutout to him for the good customer service, but all around a great experience will definitely go again next week! read more

This summer like many of you I want to try out new-to me spots and support more Austin businesses in this stage of the pandemic. In late June, I decided to try Cabo Bob's in South Austin for the first time, and it was a great dinner. As a pescatarian, usually at burrito places, I have the vegetarian option because they lack a fish or shrimp option. Enter Cabo Bob's, which has a tasty fried fish option. One of the coolest things is that they have fresh raw tortilla dough prepared, so when you order, they make your taco or burrito tortillas on the spot on a giant grill. The tortillas taste amazing too with multiple flavors. My partner had the fish burrito, which was delicious on a cilantro tomatillo tortilla. I tried the fish tacos, which were also fresh and yummy with mango salsa. My areas to improve would be the queso was cold (but the staff gave us a warm one upon request), and the flavors of the beans and veggies are all a bit bland. One thing that would be great for vegetarian and vegan options is for the sautéed veggies to be more flame grilled instead; this would amp up the veggie flavors too. The outdoor patio was so great to enjoy eating out safely, and the sweet mint iced tea was literally the best tea I have had in years. I would come back here just to enjoy more tea! I saw a person carrying out a large gallon of it, and I was like: Yep, that makes sense! Cabo Bob's is a great, affordable option, and I have already been back again since my first visit. Lunch was even better than dinner. Add this spot to your list! read more

Deluxe fish tacos - I've settled in on this as my go to order. Three different tortillas (buttermilk, ancho and cilantro) filled with crispy fish (not skimpy either), mango pico, shredded cabbage, cheese and guac. I like to get the chipotle crema on the side so I adjust that to taste. I top this with the xxxtra spice sauce. Mmm mm. A side of guac and chips is nice as well - their chips are the thicker crispy kind too. read more

An old man turned thirty-eight Found Cabo Bob's, sealed his fate He savored the spice, the 66 red so fine He won the culinary lottery, and left chipotle behind And isn't it ironic? Yeah, I really do think. It's like rain on taco Tuesday But at Cabo Bob's, they're here to stay A free ride when you've already paid Every burrito a journey, no debt to be repaid Good advice that you just didn't take But at Cabo Bob's, there's no mistakes to make Life's surprises wrapped in tortillas right They'll fill your day with flavors bright Mr. Play-It-Safe was afraid to try chipotle crema But at Cabo Bob's, the extra flavors will make you fly Pack your taste buds, kiss your doubts goodbye Take a bite and reach for the sky It's an I-35 traffic jam when you're already late But at Cabo Bob's, there's no time to wait Ten thousand spoons, when all you need is a knife They'll spice up your day, and ignite your life. read more

Cabo Bob's Burritos - Brisket bowl - Tacos Near Me - Austin, Texas

Such divine burritos here every time I go here. Probably my favorite part of these burritos are the fact that you can choose between a variety of flavored tortillas. You really can't go wrong with any and it's been a while since I've tried flavors other than smoky cheddar, but my goodness is that tortilla so darn good. There's 3 choices for beans and baja beans are a delectable mix and are hands-down the superior choice. Be careful when grabbing a squeeze bottle of sauce - there's two choices that look similar. 66 Red, and Xxtra Hot. All of their meats are pretty good - no complaints they're what you'd expect. I usually opt for chicken as it seems to work well with the burrito format. Other than that, you get a choice between quite a few toppings including cilantro (oh baby). My only negatives are that the line can get crazy long, traffic getting in and out of this location kinda sucks, and my first trip here after I chose my toppings I was offered guacamole and queso and I was like "uh sure I guess" only to be slapped on with $4 in extra charges which normally would lead me to never come again. I understand now that these are premium add-ons, but it's not readily obvious to first-timers. Seriously, Cabo Bob's is tasty though. read more

Don't underestimate Cabo Bob's, they are better than their competitors. The tortillas are freshly pressed when you order. They're quick and still give good service (something lacking in many places). I like to do a create your own burrito. They have lots of options! I recommend pretending to place an order online to see everything they have before going in. Ordered fish tacos to go...Sad sorry mess! Couldn't pick up taco as tortilla turned into a wet slimely inedible lump with the "crispy" fish just soggy and wet. These are the best tacos I've ever had in my life. It's all because of the fresh-made tortillas, so I imagine the burritos would be similarly good. I got 1 with buttermilk flour, one ancho chile, one with the cilantro option. Very good burrito, which is what I got. I get the double meat. Their chips and queso are great for a side. Last time I got chicken this time I got brisket both were excellent. I do know that if you don't want to stand in line for a long time, get there a little bit earlier then 6 PM for supper. The later you wait the longer the line. people have always been friendly and nice. and will explain how it works. You pick your flower tortilla flavor, you pick your meat and any rice flavors you want along with vegetables and sauces. There are many sauces to choose from.
