Was recommended shortly after w moved to Austin and we have been back a few times already! Whoever wrote chipotle on steroids didn't miss. My husband got the burrito and the portion was huge. And everything about it was delicious - the steak was juicy and flavorful and he was able to mix his burrito flavors which is awesome I got the crispy fish tacos (2) and chicken taco (1). I could barely finish my meal because they give you so much. Not complaining because every bite was just as good as the one before. Needless to say it is one of our new favorite Austin spots. Huge fans!! read more

Holy burrito Batman! I had the #4 fish burrito on the cilantro tomatillo tortilla and it could have easily fed 3 people. This is the kinda food that you just can't stop eating because it's so good. I added white rice, black beans, onions, green peppers, they put on 5 pieces of fried fish, salsa, cheese and sour cream. I'm drooling just thinking back to it again. Definitely worth waiting in line and worth the money for such a big portion. It's like Chipotle or Qdoba, but better! read more

Wow, this place is good! I've been remiss in not mentioning how much I like this place after having had a couple of meals here a month or two ago. Some of the most flavorful burritos and tacos I've had in this state, almost enough to give Torchy's a run for their money. If there's any nitpicks I have, it's that a) the different flavored tortillas are more a gimmick than anything else as they don't alter the flavor much if at all, and b) it's CROWDED in here during lunch, but that's evidence that they know how to make good food. This place gets a 4 'CTJ Scale' as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing on after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either. read more

I would definitely recommend this location for fast and quality burritos . Has not disappoint

This place is an Austin staple. Fresher than the competition, more options, and locally owned. It's a mix of Cali-Mex, Tex-Mex, and then something else that's all it's own. The #2 and #6 are my go-to's read more

It's all about dem fresh-pressed tortillas! Love how they have several different doughs to choose from. Their crispy fish is amazing stuff and they don't skimp on the portions. For those who care, they forgo the HFCS route and offer a wide variety of soda options all with natural sugar. I'm not a big soda drinker but I appreciate the, in my opinion, tastier and "healthier" option. If they ever open a location in Houston I'd never go back to Chipotle or Freebirds. read more

This is just an update. The manager promptly responded to my disappointed review and offered a refund and vouchers to try the place again. I live in Houston but I'm looking forward to giving them another shot when I'm in town again. That manager reaching out, will go a long way. read more

Tacos were good, but definitely nothing to write home about. It's a cool atmosphere but still feels like a chain. If you're in Austin there are a ton of places to get tacos, so I'd prefer a hole in the wall over this type of establishment. Still decent tho. read more

We wasted 30 minutes in line tonight behind 5 or so other parties. We had to leave seeing that we were still 10-20 minutes from getting food. The issue seems to be that to-go orders take precedence over people in line. Until they learn to balance to-go and in-house customers I won't be back, which is disappointing considering the food has been great in the past. read more

Freebirds, chipotle, Cabo bob's. I'd say Cabo #1 Free birds #2 and chipotle #3456. Their buttermilk flour burritos are amazing! Love this place read more

Lunch line is always long but worth it! Their fish tacos, or burritos, are amazing! I prefer them over Chipotle anyday. They have mango salsa! 'Nough said. Their tortilas are pressed and heated/toasted right in front of you. This is a must try in Austin. read more

It was good, but other than the freshly made flavored tortillas, I really didn't see much difference between them and the other burrito places such as Chipotle, FreeBirds, and one other one in San Antonio that I can't recall the name of right now. Don't go out of your way for this one y'all. Just go to the closest burrito place to you. read more

Cabo Bob's is a casual Chipotle-like burrito joint. It was a nice place to enjoy a casual weeknight dinner. - Ambiance: The inside has a casual, surfer feel with a counter for ordering. It was clean and spacious. Even though the restaurant was fairly crowded, it was easy to find a place to sit. - Service: The counter ordering was not as fast as I expected, but I appreciated that each person was willing to accommodate special requests and answer any questions about the food. - Food/Drinks: I made my own bowl with chicken, brown rice, and black beans with a variety of toppings. The tortillas are cooked fresh to order. They happily accommodate my request to have a cilantro tomatillo tortilla on the side. All the food was fresh and delicious. I much preferred it to any other burrito chains. They served a variety of bottled and fountain drinks. Only complaint is the only non-diet darker soda tasted like it was not working properly so we had to grab a diet Coke instead. - Value: The food is high quality and delicious and the portions are large. I had enough leftover for a meal the following day! read more

I LOVE CABO BOBS BURRITOS! My boyfriend and I visited for the first time March 7 after our trip to the Domain we wanted something filling to eat without breaking the bank. I had this place bookmarked because I wanted to try the fish tacos I kept seeing in the photos. I love the fact they make fresh flour tortillas classic and flavored in 3 different choices. I ordered the #3 Baja style on corn. I had it with everything it was suppose to come with. My boyfriend ordered the #1 which came on flour tortilla. We were both extremely satisfied with the freshness, crunch, and flavors of the fish tacos. He said they were the best fish tacos he'd ever had and I have to agree with him. I REALLY HOPE AND PRAY they open a location in Houston because I will be the first person there to come support, but for now since Austin isn't too far away I will definitely be coming back. read more

Before I post my review I want to just state that I'm not a fan of Chipotle but I do like Qdoba, if that puts anything into perspective. I would say this place is pretty good! I liked the different types of tortillas you can choose from, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. I also liked their local made soda and fresh punch. Service was great and for a first timer they were patient enough to explain everything for me. The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is the simple fact that I don't see this as a place you "MUST" try or even a place I crave. It's a good place for Mexican food loving friends, but it was just simply good, not great. read more

Seriously, I don't know why anyone goes to chipotle, qdoba, or any of those fakers when you have Cabo bobs. It simply smashes all of them. They make your tortilla fresh and to order!! You can choose from a multitude of flavors or even combine some. They put it on the press as dough and 1min later, you have a hot fresh flour tortilla. Love their toppings as well, do yourself a favor and get the fish + queso drizzled on top. If you're a real pro, you get the tacos instead of the burrito. Tacos come out to be larger and you get to try multiple fillings. Would stay away from the nachos though, not worth it compared to the burrito/taco. read more

The food is great. That's the only reason I keep coming back. I've been a customer for years and every time I leave with a bad taste in my mouth because the employees are SO rude. There's one blonde girl and blonde gentleman who are friendly. Every other employee is extremely rude. The portions for the meat that they give are literally 3 pieces of chicken per taco, so I always have to pay for double meat. Sorry, I'd like a piece of chicken with every bite. Don't think I'll be coming back here honestly, which is a bummer, but the employees make the experience so unenjoyable. read more

Amazing burritos and burrito bowls! I loved the ancho Chile tortilla, cilantro was okay but not bad. They make this hot tortilla in front of you and add the burrito ingredients as you like. We tried veggie burrito from the menu which was little dry for us, but once we added sauce and sour cream it was awesome! I also tried their veggie bowl so much tastier than chipotle! Totally recommend my vegetarian and vegan friends to visit this place ! read more

What we got: #3 fish tacos You wouldn't expect this place to be as good as it is, but it is! We got the fish tacos (she ordered them on ancho tortillas, I got them on buttermilk tortillas) and they did not disappoint. Tons of flavor! Just like the rivals, you choose your type of tortilla, meat, and fillings. They offer a wide range of tortilla flavors but the buttermilk was amazing. I would recommend you choose that if its your first time. The service was fast and friendly too! Combine all that with a sub $20 total (for 2 people) and you got yourself a 5-star joint! read more

I ordered some nachos with steak, queso and whole pinto beans. The steak was so so kinda chewy. Queso was runny and not thick. The beans had no salt. I didn't care for the ancho hot sauce. The best thing was the thickness of the nacho chip. It held up with all the toppings and did not get soggy. For the price you can't beat it. It's also filling and I didn't try all of the other options that were available for toppings but it's a good mixture of items. I will go again and try the burrito. The tortillas looked yummy and huge!! read more

There was about 10 people in front of me, person up front was getting orders made and the employees for some reason were doing orders wrong. I ordered a#6, first bite in and there was no queso in the burrito. Killed 15 minutes of my lunch overall trying to order and paying. read more

If you're coming here, make sure you haven't eaten in at least 24 hours. The burritos here are ENORMOUS and really delicious. The coolest thing about this place is the fact they make your tortilla right in front of you. It's kinda like dinner and a show. The tortilla flavors are also really intriguing and taste great. My one issue (and it's a very small issue) is that the burrito is almost too big. Once you pack all of these ingredients into the burrito you can never get a bite of everything at once, so you're left eating a bite of just chicken or one of just the vegetables. However, individually they taste great so I'm really not too mad about it. Also, if you come here make sure you get their homemade pepper sauces. They are absolutely delicious. I literally put it on every bite of my burrito. It had a nice heat and delicious flavor! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Cabo Bob's. They have delicious, home made flour tortillas that are authentic. Their ingredients are always fresh and their jalapeno salsa is to die for! Honestly, was pretty excited to try this place out. Got the deluxe fish tacos and wow they were terrible. My expectations for this place were way to high.
