a kitchen with stainless steel appliances

We used Cabinet Works for our new kitchen remodel. We had a design but Jonas, the owner, brought some great design ideas that we incorporated. We were interested in using CW because they tout using all plywood construction for their cabinets, which we really wanted after having cheap Ikea cabinets made of particle board. CW is an old-school shop and makes everything by hand. The quality is great and they did all of the detailing as we wanted. Their installer, Vald, did a terrific job with the installation and really helped us get it right. I would ask for him as your installer. We are pleased with how things turned out and it met our budget.

My wife and I used Seattle bath and shower to renovate our standing shower and bathroom floor. A…read morerenovation was done by the previous owner that resulted in a leak going down into the apartment below us (uh oh). After some insurance battling, we started looking at local companies that could help us with the fix/renovation. We stopped by their office and met with Halil to talk over the issue and he met us at our home two days later to assess the situation and talk over price. We also got quotes and visits from other companies, but ultimately decided to go with Seattle bath & shower because we liked Halil. The total process took about 1 month which included meeting Halil, picking and ordering shower items/products, signing a contract, waiting for products to ship, and completion of the project. I would say it took about 1.5 to 2 weeks for the materials to arrive. The actual renovation took about 6 days total which included the shower renovation as well as the bathroom floor replacement/reinforcement. The process definitely took longer than expected due to the water damage of the leak and the demo of the existing tile, but Halil was as transparent as possible and his team did a great job and were all working diligently. I would say the only issue that arose was Halil's estimated timeline of 2-3 days that eventually was stretched to 6 days due to some setbacks, but given our unique circumstance, this was understandable. All in all, we had a good experience with Halil and Seattle Bath&Shower! We have been using the new shower and we are happy with how it came out. Great job guys.

Beau is the best contractor we have ever worked with - very knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of home renovation, trustworthy, hard working, detail oriented, high-quality results, responsive, and transparent. Beau and his crew were efficient and skilled at their craft. Highly recommend Beau and CK&B Seattle to anyone doing home renovation. Fantastic customer service and high-quality results - worth every penny and the investment we put into our home! We would not use any other contractor for future projects.

Beau is the best contractor we have ever worked with, bar none.  His attention to detail and his…read moreeye for design are both impeccable, and there is nothing we wouldn't trust him with.  He communicated clearly, kept us incredibly well-informed about the scope and timing of the project, and did everything he said he would, completing the project pretty much exactly when he expected to be finished, and on budget.  He gave us great advice throughout the process - including recommending when to order certain items, an impressive feat given the current global supply chain issues - in a way that was completely respectful and never pushy.  Our kitchen is now our favorite room in the house. A bit of background on our project: Beau dragged our kitchen from the 70s - no range vent, Formica countertops that buckled with the slightest pressure, cupboard doors that didn't fully close, to name a few issues - into the modern era.  This was a complete demolition, down to the studs, and rebuild.  Along the way, he removed an old chimney that ran from our basement, through the first floor, and into the attic; upgraded our hot water heater, and most of our old, galvanized plumbing; updated our electrical panel and removed a lot of knob-and-tube wiring; and widened our back door.  He had a clear understanding of what he could and could not do, and, for the latter, he had subcontractors lined up and ready to do the work.  Beau, his crew, and the subcontractors I interacted with, were all extremely pleasant, polite, helpful, and fun.  They were very nice to (and tolerant of) our pets, and did everything they could to make the process as unintrusive as possible.  They went above and beyond in so many ways, it's impossible to remember them all.  At the end of the project, the work was done as expected, was top-notch, and as much as we were glad to have the kitchen back, it was sad to see them go.

Over the span of three months, he oversaw the demolition of the house, removing two load bearing walls as well as all of the flooring and bathrooms (tub, toilets, vanities). I would give Simon a 6-star rating if that was an option. His demeanor as head contractor was always calm, respectful and considerate. He guided me through the process of selecting new floors, appliances, fixtures, and a completely new HVAC system. Simon's subcontractors were all very friendly and professional. It appears that he is very careful in who he hires for his remodels. All aspects of their work met my approval in quality. Simon was one of two contractors who offered bids within our budget. 2) Simon spent a full hour exploring the space and asking questions. All other bids completed only a cursory look of the space, and failed to notice details that needed consideration. Simon pointed out a lot of things that were important for us to understand before moving forward with the project. Simon also said that estimate would take a couple of days to fine tune (versus other contractors who seemed to just throw out a number). 3) Simon immediately came across as a person with integrity and good communication skills. Our experience with Simon and his team: 1) Impeccable communication throughout the process. No leaving us in the dark, and always responsive to our questions. Simon responds to texts and emails right away. 2) Consistent work schedule. Once the project started, his team was at the house for 10 hours daily, 5 to 6 days per week. No disappearing acts. 3) Excellent team - Incredibly skilled with attention to detail. The team is also polite and conscientious. 4) Design skills - Rather than hire a separate designer, Simon and his team were meticulous in making sure the design details and colors were aligned with our 1904 house architecture. 6) Beautiful results -- We now have a renovated, upscale master bathroom that even has a custom vanity. I was so happy with the outcome that I also hired his team to replace our 120-year old wood floors. Our house has not only been transformed into an elegant space but we were able to keep both projects to a budget that was less than what most contractors estimated for just the bathroom project! We fully intend to hire Simon again for future projects!

It is located between PetSmart and Sprouts. Received a giant shopping bag upon entry, thanks! Never been inside a HomeGoods, brand new so very tidy and orderly. Places like Bed, Bath, and Beyond or Marshall's can be a bit messy in contrast. It has a a little bit of this and that of various home stuff and things. Perfect to refresh or fully outfit your home without breaking the bank. I was debating between a soft spring throw or a sauce pan, the latter wins! I zoomed past the vast kitchen gadgets and utensils and anything bunny related, resist impulse weaknesses. But roamed each aisle and got some note to self decorating ideas. My style seems to be post dormitory with a wee bit of orderly hoarder, lol. Prices were reasonable and a terrific variety. Check it out you're in the North Seattle. HomeGoods is located conveniently west of the I-5 N 130th exit or Hwy 99/Aurora whether by car or bus.
