I was on the hunt (lol) for a new salmon rod 'n' reel for my son for Christmas. I had done some research online, but I gotta try before I buy, and Terry at Cabela's was super helpful in helping me put together a very nice combo, including a Pflueger reel that was on sale. Of course since we're outdoorsy we had to spend a few hours here, looking at fishing stuff, camping, clothes, and the taxidermy displays of many State record deer and elk. The aquarium is impressive. Cabela's (now owned by Bass Pro Shops) has some work to do. It was 3 weeks until Christmas, and barely anything of quality was on sale (on a weekend)! The camping selection leaves something to be desired, and everything is overpriced. There was a tent for $1,000! Do they even know this store's demographic? I'm a BPS rewards member, and purchases here don't apply towards BPS rewards, although I was told they accept BPS rewards dollars towards a purchase...That's like talkin' out of both sides of your mouth. Just put my hundreds of dollars in purchases at Cabela's into my BPS rewards, which is just a good way to reward your most frequent customers.

    Cabela's is a large store that sells hunting, fishing, camping, recreational shooting and outdoor gear. There's an entire room upstairs for clearance items. The also have a showroom for boats downstairs. The large aquarium is fun to walk through and there's also a staged mountain side with stuffed animals to look at. They have good prices on sale items throughout the store. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ )

Cabelas is a gun friendly store.

No Reviews for Cabela's?? Why?? It's not new just never got around to it. Just North of Milwaukee is Richfield and they have an outdoors superstore like Bass Pro Shops/ Outdoor World, And Gander Mountain. They have group of nice people working there, who are interested in helping if you need or browsing at your leisure. I came here specifically to find a seat cover for an ATV. They didn't have any. I later found one at Fleet And Farm. in Germantown. The check out girls are friendly and enjoyed taking money. I've found some good deals here. My wants are always greater than my needs. I could always use a brand new Fishing rod.especially if they are under $50-80 bucks. This location has many local animal mounts ( huh.... i said mounts. ) and an aquarium with plenty of local sporting type fish. There is even an elephant standing in the corner...... really! Go look plus a bunch of Buck heads and Full... mounts...( I did it again..) Keep your eyes open for sales as they have fliers and unadvertised clearance section throughout the store and also on the second floor is the education room for CCW classes. And snacks like cinnamon almonds. The smell is addictive like crack to a fiend. Why must you torment me with your sweet poisons...

Great selection for outdoor gear. But don't eat there, the elk burgers aren't really cooked well, it's not safe.

I do not like Cabelas. Not enough check outs. Shipping online orders take forever. Bad customer service. very unhappy.

For those who don't know, Sierra is part of the TJX companies (others include Tj maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods), so you better believe they have sweet deals. Plus, it just feels like the most high-end version of all those stores. So big, open and clean. Very well organized. And they pretty much have something in every category: name-brand outdoor gear, apparel, footwear, home goods, kids items, unique gifts and more. Attractive looking store, plentiful parking, fast checkout, good prices.

The store--not surprisingly, given its newness--is quite clean and more impressively, is very orderly. One of my pet peeves of the TJX Co stores is that racks are often a shitshow of mismatched hangers and tags, which I never understood: If the hanger tag doesn't match the item, I'm not going to find what I want and I'm going to give up. Who does that benefit? I didn't have that issue here, but sadly did not find anything I needed/wanted in terms of clothing this time around. Checkout was a breeze and the cashier was very engaging, just wish I could say that for the rest of the staff that walked around the store like I was starring in my own personal version of "The Sixth Sense," since they didn't interact with me because I was apparently dead and just didn't know it yet.

I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated with the service here. They called me on Sunday at 5:58…read morePM to tell me my bike was ready--exactly two minutes before they closed. Because of the timing, I couldn't even pick it up until Tuesday. The pricing feels highly suspect. For a bike that costs $350 brand new, I was charged over $200 for a new rear tire, chain, and miscellaneous items. To make it worse, I paid an extra $30 for a "lifetime membership" because they promised it would give me reduced rates. Instead, my bill somehow jumped from a quoted $160 to $202. The math makes absolutely no sense. But the worst part is the complete lack of basic safety quality control. When I finally got the bike home, I realized the front brakes were completely unattached and just hanging there. This is a massive safety hazard. They kept my bike for days, charged me hundreds of dollars, and ultimately handed me back a bike that wasn't even safe to ride. Now I have to waste my own time and gas to go back and get them to finish the job. Take your bike somewhere else where they actually care about mechanical safety and honest pricing.

With the membership, you also get 10% back on eligible items and free shipping with no minimum order. The downside I've found with REI, is that over the years REI has switched to selling more REI branded items instead of all of the other cool brands they used to offer. Their variety of brands has diminished from what I've seen, which is a bummer to me.

Per my husband, their "Buck Naked" boxers are even better than advertised. But I'm not here to review purchased items, I'm here to review the company's Port Washington store. Located on the southern end of the downtown strip, this store has a "woodsey" feel. There is much more product in the store than I initially anticipated and one could spend a fair amount of time browsing everything from womens and mens apparel to dog accessories to cook books to candies. There are many unique items that make fun gifts for relatives and friends; I often come here to find something for that hard-to-shop-for person. I have been in this store many times and it is always clean and well organized. The associates are friendly. However, a strange phenomenon occurs in this space. Time does not seem to exist. Not for the customers, not for the employees, just not at all. Ever. Don't get me wrong, the calm atmosphere is relaxing and I dont enjoy the hustle and bustle ever. It's often a neccessary evil. However, it should not take 40 minutes to make a simple exchange with 2 cashiers and a customer at each register. When an older lady tried to cut in front of me in line, after I waited all that time, I nearly lost my cool. The snail's pace is my only issue about this store. I do reccomend checking it out if you are in the area, and definitely for a unique gift item. Just know that it isn't a store you can just run in and run out.
