Great service and very fair price! I brought my 18-foot Class B camper van (Ram ProMaster) here for a smog check, and the price was very reasonable compared to other places that quoted much higher. The staff was friendly, professional, and the whole process was quick and smooth. It's not always easy to find a shop willing to do smog checks for camper vans, but they handled it with no problem. I really appreciate their honesty and efficiency. Highly recommend this place if you need a smog check in the area!

My friend had a smog check that was due and found this spot looking up Yelp. They are friendly and quick smog check spot located next to and connected to a gas station. My friend had called in and was told to come in as walk-in and no appointment was needed. It was early afternoon and not busy so the smog check was done quick with friendly customer service staff. Smog check was passed with no issues. Will recommend to my friends and come here next time. Again, really friendly and fast smog service in town. Quick, Efficient, and Inexpensive! Had a day off from work, so I needed to get a smog check completed for my car registration. The other reviewers weren't kidding, in and out easy as can be. I pulled up, gave the guy my keys, filled out the form the nice lady gave me, sat down for maybe 10 minutes then she came back and it was done. I live in the Long Beach community and needed a quick smog to get my vehicle registration done ASAP. I did a quick google and this was one of the first places that came up and was a short distance from my home. The online coupon i printed and short distance is what ultimately enticed me to come here. It shares a parking lot with a mobil gas station. I usually hate getting my cars smog tested... but this place changed my mindset with kindness and really quick service!! I got a Yelp discount too!! The owner was a really nice woman who took care of the paperwork. Then a young man quickly did the smog test! Charged me correctly! Even said " see you in two years"! No false charges! I reached out to a few places through Yelp to get estimates, and they responded quickly. They had the best price of everywhere I asked, which was $65 for my 2003 Honda. I went on a Monday afternoon and it was not busy. The smog check took only about 10 minutes. The couple who owns this place are very kind. A very positive experience overall. read more

Owner was nice and knows his stuff! He really explained the procedure well. My car didn't pass smog and he gave me specific directions on how to get it to pass. His wife was so friendly and they have an outdoor waiting area that's clean and inviting. My dog waited with me and it was a fun experience - I would give it 100 star for custoner service! I have a 2008 Mazda 3, I took it to 4 other places in Long Beach for a smog and no one could complete the inspection for me. They all told me there was a communication error between my car and the smog machine. I took my car here and with in 20 minutes I was in n out with my passed smog certificate! They were Fast and super friendly. Jake is nice guy and he took care of my car. And it was cheap! read more

I've been coming here since my car needed to get a smog the first time. It's a good 10-15 minute from my house, but I made my way here. It's quick and efficient and the prices are great. It's next to the Mobil gas station so it's easy to miss if you don't know the area. They have a small waiting area. I'm usually in and out within 15-20 minutes. I say come in and try it yourself, not sure why people give it bad reviews. Service is fast and friendly! read more

They r a STAR certified smog check I randomly required to use STAR smog check for first time this year. Then I found out the DMV could not read my personalized license plate supporting spay & neuter which costs me $70 extra annually. TThey found me every year until this year when my all 6-letters spell something to me. DMV all of a sudden could not find my account. But in the past years they always could. read more

I called and he said come down. The next day I went, the first thing he done was look under hood, ask if it's modified isay no. Older homda accord. Then he use big mirror with handle flash light looking under car and say things I don't. Comprehen then he say he can't smog it. I say thanks for waste of my time and I left. read more

Refused to test my car, I have a CA Compliant engine swap with all docs at first they said they couldn't test vehicle because of the age, then when I explained I have a new engine from a legal swap he told me their machine was down....as they were testing another car. Came here on a Sunday to get my Challenger SRT8 smogged. There was only one person in front of me, the gentleman that was running the place was friendly (gave me a discount I didn't know about) and fast. Great place to go to get your required SMOG test done, if you live near downtown LBC. Like getting…read moredocuments notarized, the process is heavily regulated by the state, but unlike a notary, it looks like a SMOG testing center can charge what they want. So the $40 out the door (including the mandatory $8.25 fee for the certificate) is a great price. I actually found a coupon from smogtips.com for $29.95 for this space, but once you add in the extras, it came out the same...so the tech didn't even take it. The $40 is listed clearly, and it seems like it would be the same for minivans and small SUVs as well (other places seem to have extra surcharges for that). Like others said, it's easy to drive in if you are next, but if somebody is getting tested, you would need to drive into the auto repair shop driveway right after and walk back to the garage to get in line. You can only enter going South on Long Beach Blvd (since Long Beach Blvd is a divided road). There is a small waiting room with a TV showing a local station. Once our car got hooked up, it took about 15 minutes to complete. They take credit cards, and will give you a computerized Vehicle Inspection Report. Now I just need to wait for the electronic submission to be recorded at the DMV, so I can renew my registration on-line. Conclusion: the price is good, and quick once you get started. We'll come back to this place in 2 years.

Yelp was correct: their $40 price is on the low end of standard (they have a coupon on their website, but turns out I didn't actually need it to get that price), the guy working there (who I think may have also been the owner) was super friendly, and I was in and out in 10 minutes. My only complaint: they really need a better sign directing traffic - they have a big sign out in front, that points into their one-car garage, so if someone else is already getting a smog check (as was the case when I got there), it is completely non-obvious where to go. You actually turn into the following drive-way, which looks like it leads into a car-wash, and then park around the back of the building. Their sign out front really needs to tell people that. Once I figured out where I was going, though, super quick and easy.

This place is a ripoff!! They dont even hook your car up to their computer before the Asian man behind the Counter is charging you for what they did, (nothing!)The Asian dude with the glasses is untrained and thinks he knows more than he actually does which posses a troublesome issue when working on one's car. This was my experience with this place twice. If you have $50 to throw away, makes no difference to me use them but please beware of the scam they use. I didn't give a rating to them cause they dont deserve one for the disservice they give to the public read more

I normally go to a smog place in Anaheim but I now live here in Long Beach. I decided to try this place because it was close to where I live. I came early thinking there would be a line. Nope! No one was here. They are super nice, fast and efficient. There are 2 bays for cars as well. Some smaller places only have one. I would for sure recommend anyone to come here. Plus they have comparable prices (not overly expensive) and the best part is, they are open on Sunday's. So many other places close on Sunday's. Great place! read more

This by far the best Smog Station I have been to. In less than 10 minutes I was already done. The staff are very friendly and they will make you feel like a friend or family. What's best about this smog station is the PRICE! no one can beat their price! The guy who did my smog test was very knowledgeable and he certain know what he is doing. Definitely a place to go to when you need your car test for smog. Very efficient, quick and professional and oh did I mention the PRICE is excellent ? read more

Trying Ca Express Smog for the first time. Found a coupon online. Super friendly service. One free retest if you don't pass. 15 days to repass and the super nice woman at the counter, part owner, told me that if I can't fix it in that time she would give me an extension. So nice and thoughtful, as life gets hectic and we can't often make deadlines. They are quick but If you don't want to wait here, there are a few places to eat or shop near by and a bar as well. Would recommend to anyone! read more

I'm from out of state, so I wasn't terribly sure of the whole smog test procedure. They answered a lot of my questions over the phone, gave me a discount, and explained their pricing policy before I even got there. The place is clean and in a safe neighborhood, which was lot more appealing to me. Two bays meant that they are able to get the cars through faster, so my wait time was pretty good, considering that there were a few cars waiting ahead of me! read more

This is my second time using their services. I came two years ago and it was quick and easy. I'm back today and I was in and out within 15 min. The customer service is always top notch. Friendly as always very pleasant, speedy and efficient. They handle all paperwork to DMV. I will highly recommend to anyone. Check them out next time you need smog check. read more

Internet special + Yelp coupon? Sign me up! Had to go to smog test only station, and this was the best deal in area, fast and friendly. Came in on a weekday morning and no wait. Loved that it was right across from Valvoline instant oil change a and car wash-- I didn't have to drive all over town, made my maintenance stop easy and care-free. read more

I recommend this place for your smog check. Quick and easy. I drove up to the testing bay and before I got out of my car, the technician was there to help. Felipe was a nice guy and very professional. He tested the car while I waited in the adjoining waiting area. The whole process was about 10 minutes and the price was very competitive. read more

Omg great service and great deals . I was very please with everything. Even though my truck didnt pass they didnt charge me the $8.25 tax fee. They said once I fix the problem come back for a retest for free then pay the tax fee. Very impressed only pay $44 due to writing a review they take additional $5 off. How cool is that?? read more

Staff is very friendly and professional with a smile! Customer service is great! Went to get my Smog Check here without an appointment. I came in the afternoon and there was no wait. Small waiting area that is very clean with magazines. The shop is clean too. They have a coupon on their website that I printed! read more

Great place to get your smog checked I've been coming here for years now. I've had two cars, now three that have been smogged by the facility and they've all passed. If you haveva concern with your car they will assist you right away or let you know how can you reseolve your problem. read more

The owners were so nice! I came right when they were about to close and they stayed open for me :) I really appreciate it! It also was only 52 dollars versus the 60 I paid last year somewhere else. If you want awesome customer service at a great price bring your car here! read more
