On a fluke I believe 2 years ago I ended up using PT and he was in a unique small space. He has moved and he is now on Anaheim. If coming from downtown he will be on your right side. I needed a smog check and chose PT Smog because I procrastinated getting it done on a Saturday waiting until the last minute and they were still open. It wasn't hard to find, but the area to pull in is just limited in space so it can be a little tricky... no big deal. I was greeted promptly and told that as soon as their customer before me was finished they could get to me and do a smog check. I had to fill out a form and they were ready for me before I even finished filling in the make and model of my vehicle on form. I handed over the keys and went to sit in their waiting area. Not even 10 minutes later the gentleman brought me my keys and said he was finished and that I had passed. $65 if I were paying with credit card, $60 if paying with cash. I opted for the cash payment and then I was on my way. Very satisfied with the clear and professional service. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. read more

This was my first time getting a smog check after moving to Long Beach - so I turned to Yelp to lead me in the right direction and ya'll did not disappoint! Stopped by on a weekday and was able to get in right away. The shop is a bit hard to spot from the main street, but if you're following Apple Maps you'll be able to find it. Paul was very kind, had calm energy and answered all of my questions. I liked that there was an option to pay with card or cash, and I felt that the price was fair for a smog service (which is great as you never know what surprises await you with any mechanic visit). 10/30/23 Sunday- I went to PT Smog to get a smog test and was very pleased to find a location open on SUNDAYS. There was one vehicle currently being tested/serviced. Paul came to my car window to meet me and let me know that he could help me out as soon as he was complete with the vehicle he was servicing, and gave me the paperwork to fil out. Within 10 minutes, my car was pulled in and being serviced. Took about another 10-15 minutes from beginning to end of service. Cost $65. No discounts offered/available. He showed me my Pass/Fail verdict and printed me out a copy for myself, along with basic instructions/information on how the process works. Paul was very personable and helpful. Nice guy. I came to PT smog on a Sunday afternoon to get a smog done on a vehicle I was purchasing. Operation hours have changed for many businesses due to covid and does not accurately reflect the hours on Yelp. Although it was out of our way, thankfully PT smog was one of the very few to be open on a Sunday. Paul was able to get me in and out in less than 10 minutes! He was quick and gave me all the paperwork I needed before leaving the shop.
