The mission was accomplished, but it took 5 times longer than any of the smog inspections I have ever attended, even though I was the only customer. I needed smog checks for both of my cars, and Tom's Auto recommended this local spot to me. Prices were very reasonable (paid in cash). I took my cars on separate days, one was a quick in-and-out and the other time was busy, but great experiences nonetheless. Paul is professional and welcoming. This smog place is small so it might be easy to miss as you drive by. The only con is that it neighbors other auto places so the driveway can be quite narrow, but otherwise PT Smog is worth it! read more

Got a quick quote from Paul for a Smog check on the messaging app on yelp. I was able to come in WITHOUT and appointment. He was true to his word on his quote. I used the check in special on yelp. Now I'm on my Merry (hint hint for the Season) way! It was kind of hard to find the place, but I found it! It's tucked in a little corner on the corner of Stanley and Anaheim, ACROSS from the 76 gas station. Now don't be going into the bar, I know that's where you really want to go! But this spot is on the other side of Anaheim directly in front of the gas station. Ummm the big Smog flag should be a give away. Listening to maps got me almost going into the paint shop down the street since i was coming down Anaheim towards Cherry... There wasn't really much of a wait though he said there might be. He was able to get me in and out in less than 15 mins. I don't even think i was there for 5 but I'll say 15 for Asian time Thanks Paul! You were easy to talk though it did help that you look like you could be one of my cousins! No but really, he was nice and greeted me with a smile and helped me out right away. They don't over sell u on anything u don't need and are very helpful. Needed to complete a smog check for registration renewal and wanted to go in on a Sunday. I passed by at around 3 and the shop was closed even though hours say later closing time- didn't expect a shop open on Sunday anyway so i wasn't upset. Called in on Tuesday to verify hours so i could make it in after work (5pm, Yelp closing says 6pm) and the owner answered, and notified he usually closes a bit earlier but he'd wait for me to get there. Once I got there the owner was very nice and service was quick. I mentioned passing by and seeing shop closed earlier than hours posted online and he said on slow days he does close earlier, so i would advise to call ahead just to avoid any issues. Smog for my 2012 Mazda3 was $40 and i was out within 15 minutes. Would definitely go back! read more

O.k. it must have been me. Every time I went in, he told me his machine was not working. I found that odd because this shop kind of difficult to find and then driving into the actual spot more difficult. I say that to say, why would he get out of his chair, guide me in, grab his clip board and proceed to ask me questions about my vehicle. It wasn't until he found out the car I was trying to get a smog check on was a 1996 Ford. Yes I am aware that newer cars don't require as much work when they get a smog check. I don't know now I'm speculating. Hey Mr Business Owner, I have an idea for you. If you're been lazy and don't want the hassle of actually having to work, or it there is a legitimate reason in the future just be honest and stop wasting our time by having us come back every couple of days. But I shouldn't be complaining too much because you actually did me a favor by forcing me to find another facility (CA Express Smog on Redondo & Anaheim) which was a great experience. Maybe Paul (the owner) has it together now since this was over a year ago. note: This review was from over a year ago and have no idea why yelp is telling me to finish this review, especially when I thought it had been completed at that time. read more

There are 3 other garages connected to each other and PT smog is the last one, just drive up through the narrow drive way all the way to the back wall and it will be right there. This review is long over due but I would definitely recommend this place! I needed to do a smog check on my car so I called for availability and they notified me they were still open and to come on by. I parked on the side instead of driving all the way in (I wasn't sure if I needed to check in person before driving my car up) and another customer drove in instead. The owner of the shop, Paul, noticed I got their first and politely asked the gentlemen in the car to back up so he can help me first. Which was so kind and I hella appreciated it. Overall my experience went really well and the owner is a really chill person, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. Also a heads up, the shop is on a main street and the entrance could be tricky to see so just watch out for their signs and those are easy to spot. read more
