THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Wow! I was helped immediately and they were so kind. If you need a smog check, go here!

Checked the Yelp reviews looking for a Sunday or late Saturday smog check. Called to confirm shop was open on Saturday. Drove in and was met by Paul. Very friendly, quick service and had me on my way in no time. I highly recommend PT Smog for the quick service, friendly and professionalism of Paul. read more

I was looking for a smog stop that was open after I finished work. This place was available and even stayed late for me to get my car addressed. It's a small business and they give cash discounts. It is a little bit challenging to find as it's in a small lot shared with car repair shop but since I called ahead the owner was waiting for me in the lot. Thank you for coming through in a pinch! read more

Call ahead & schedule an appt to smog test my OBD1 vehicle. Paul does not disappoint!

Just got my smog checked here and Paul helped me out and i can't recommend them enough! took me in last minute, got my car checked in about 30 minutes. Super friendly, great customer service and affordable. read more

If you're still driving a non EV vehicle and polluting the earth like I am you need to get your car smogged. And since I live in California the law says I gotta smog my car like every other year which is nuts but hey I'm all about compliance. I decided to handle my smog requirement while doing a few errands in Long Beach. Found PT smog on Yelp and I'm glad I did. Awesome smog experience. Paul was extremely responsive and took care of me right away. No fuss, very straightforward and transparent. Highly recommended. read more

I was greeted by a semi-friendly technician with the smirk of a medieval alchemist. He sighed a few times until my still relatively new vehicle passed the smog check. The mission was accomplished, but it took 5 times longer than any of the smog inspections I have ever attended, even though I was the only customer. Perhaps next time I'll try a different establishment. read more

I messaged ahead through the Yelp app and was able to get a special cash price. Paul was responsive, quick (it took literally only 15 min), and the service was great. I'll definitely be back in future because of the value and convenience! read more

Got a quick quote from Paul for a Smog check on the messaging app on yelp. I was able to come in WITHOUT and appointment. He was true to his word on his quote. I used the check in special on yelp. Now I'm on my Merry (hint hint for the Season) way! It was kind of hard to find the place, but I found it! It's tucked in a little corner on the corner of Stanley and Anaheim, ACROSS from the 76 gas station. Now don't be going into the bar, I know that's where you really want to go! But this spot is on the other side of Anaheim directly in front of the gas station. Ummm the big Smog flag should be a give away. Listening to maps got me almost going into the paint shop down the street since i was coming down Anaheim towards Cherry... There wasn't really much of a wait though he said there might be. He was able to get me in and out in less than 15 mins. I don't even think i was there for 5 but I'll say 15 for Asian time Thanks Paul! You were easy to talk though it did help that you look like you could be one of my cousins! No but really, he was nice and greeted me with a smile and helped me out right away. Sorry this was NOT a quick post. But check this place out. I've called some other star certified smog stations and their quotes were higher. read more

Paul and his crew were outstanding. Quick, professional and responsive. I had to get my massive RV smogged and he helped me park and had me done in less then 30 min. Great team and highly recommended, reasonable price too! read more

Paul is the best! BEST PLACE TO SMOG YOUR CAR! Quick, cheap & reliable! Don't go anywhere else but here,TRUST

Called the business to get a quote and see if I needed an appointment, the gentleman said $50 cash for a smog and I could come right away. There was no wait and Paul is so friendly and got the check done quickly. Would definitely recommend this place and I'll come back again! Paul made the chore actually enjoyable. read more

I needed smog checks for both of my cars, and Tom's Auto recommended this local spot to me. Prices were very reasonable (paid in cash). I took my cars on separate days, one was a quick in-and-out and the other time was busy, but great experiences nonetheless. Paul is professional and welcoming. This smog place is small so it might be easy to miss as you drive by. The only con is that it neighbors other auto places so the driveway can be quite narrow, but otherwise PT Smog is worth it! read more

Paul was super friendly and trustworthy. He got the job done in less than 20 mins on Saturday morning! Thank you Paul you're a Rockstar!

O.k. it must have been me. Every time I went in, he told me his machine was not working. I found that odd because this shop kind of difficult to find and then driving into the actual spot more difficult. I say that to say, why would he get out of his chair, guide me in, grab his clip board and proceed to ask me questions about my vehicle. It wasn't until he found out the car I was trying to get a smog check on was a 1996 Ford. Yes I am aware that newer cars don't require as much work when they get a smog check. I don't know now I'm speculating. Hey Mr Business Owner, I have an idea for you. If you're been lazy and don't want the hassle of actually having to work, or it there is a legitimate reason in the future just be honest and stop wasting our time by having us come back every couple of days. But I shouldn't be complaining too much because you actually did me a favor by forcing me to find another facility (CA Express Smog on Redondo & Anaheim) which was a great experience. Maybe Paul (the owner) has it together now since this was over a year ago. note: This review was from over a year ago and have no idea why yelp is telling me to finish this review, especially when I thought it had been completed at that time. read more

Paul was able to get me in asap! He was very quick to respond to any questions I had and was able to get me in and out in 15 min. Location can be a bit tricky but once you enter, he is all the way in the back! Great customer service too! Thank you Paul! read more

PT Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Long Beach, California

Needed to complete a smog check for registration renewal and wanted to go in on a Sunday. I passed by at around 3 and the shop was closed even though hours say later closing time- didn't expect a shop open on Sunday anyway so i wasn't upset. Called in on Tuesday to verify hours so i could make it in after work (5pm, Yelp closing says 6pm) and the owner answered, and notified he usually closes a bit earlier but he'd wait for me to get there. Once I got there the owner was very nice and service was quick. I mentioned passing by and seeing shop closed earlier than hours posted online and he said on slow days he does close earlier, so i would advise to call ahead just to avoid any issues. Smog for my 2012 Mazda3 was $40 and i was out within 15 minutes. Would definitely go back! read more

A little hard to get in and out of thanks to the business next to them, but a very nice owner, reasonable prices and quick. We'll definitely use them again for all our cars in the future. read more

Reliable and informative. I am on the road thanks the PT Smog. Make sure to have your car ready and be patient.

5 stars almost every review for a reason! Fast, friendly and frugal! Ask for the Yelp mobile discount!

The location is kind of annoying with the neighbor next door blocking the entry way (um, rude.) but regardless, I was in & out & on my way! Paul's pretty cool also, I could tell he was a good person right off the bat, great shop talk, and that's the type of people you should give your business too. I think I just found my go too. read more

Best smog experience ever. In and out quick and easy! I've definitely found my new smog spot. Highly recommended

I needed a smog check and this was close to home and a good deal. Friendly service. Thank you!

This review is long over due but I would definitely recommend this place! I needed to do a smog check on my car so I called for availability and they notified me they were still open and to come on by. I parked on the side instead of driving all the way in (I wasn't sure if I needed to check in person before driving my car up) and another customer drove in instead. The owner of the shop, Paul, noticed I got their first and politely asked the gentlemen in the car to back up so he can help me first. Which was so kind and I hella appreciated it. Overall my experience went really well and the owner is a really chill person, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. Also a heads up, the shop is on a main street and the entrance could be tricky to see so just watch out for their signs and those are easy to spot. read more
