Not that this place needs another 5 star review, but I had such a great experience here that I felt like it was worth writing! When I got here, no was was waiting in line so I was in and out in probably less than 10 minutes (with no appointment). Tony has been serving Long Beach for I believe it was over 18 years and his experience shows. I paid $50 for the smog check, and the certificate gets sent directly to the DMV without anything needed on my end (I also didn't understand the certificate portion, so he explained that to me). I'd recommend this location (and will exclusively be going to Tony) for future smog check needs! read more

Went here due to all the good reviews! And just as I read, it was very easy. $50. My first time doing one too. Literately took like 15mins! read more

Quick, easy and reasonably priced! Every time I've pulled up, there was either just one car before me or no one. The nice man who runs the shop pulls the car into the garage and does his thing within a few minutes. I paid about $50 for the test and certificate. He sends the results so no further action is needed except to pay for registration. Done! read more

Nothing but praise for this small business. When I found out that the store opened at 8:30 am on a Saturday, I had to find out for myself. Being an early bird myself, I came to the shop at 8:45 am and it was open! I could have been the first customer of the day, but who knows, because the entire process took less than ten minutes to pass my smog inspection. Price was reasonable, where I paid around $50 with tax. It was the FASTEST SMOG INSPECTION, and I don't have to return for another two years. Happy customer verified. read more

My parents had a 2001 Sienna that had failed a smog test prior and the other place didn't explain why, how to fix it, and the fact that the test failed. I took it upon myself to research how to fix and brought it here to do the final test. I came right when he opened and Tony was working on another car. I let him know what happened prior and he was very understanding. A few minutes later, he pulled the van in and got to work! He was super fast, friendly, and explained to me that it had passed and what I did worked! His prices are way better than a bunch of places around here and nothing beats how friendly and efficient he is! read more

Very fast service. Although my car didn't pass the first time around, he was able to refer me to a reputable shop for repairs that were reasonable. I didn't have high hopes my car would pass because it's almost 40 years old. But once we got the new catalytic converter installed, the car passed with flying colors. I would definitely say this place is a great value since it's becoming more difficult to find shops that will test older cars that don't have OBD II. Thanks again and would highly recommend! read more

Drove into California Smog Lab without an appointment this morning. The lot was empty. Greeting Tony at the window I was helped right away. After some preliminary recording for the smog certificate (name, address, milage, etc.) I waited about 10 minutes before Tony passed my car and provided me the confirming paperwork. At a very reasonable price and with great, quick, and polite service this has become my smog tester of choice. Thanks, Tony. See you next time! read more
