Best place to smog your stock car. It looks like the bad reviews are from people who had a smog issues. If your car is stock then this is the place. This guy is quick and has a great business. There are cheaper places but you want to half a day or half an hour? In this day and age... extra money well spent. Coupon place take forever. read more

Buddy said i needed a whole new computer and car couldnt scan . Yea right buddy i went to another smog shop in Hawain gardens they passed it no problem car has 0 issues , gets fixed by the dealer ship . Im not going to beg anyone for a smog just go somewhere else. read more

Came extremely early in the morning and Mr. Kim was there. He was quick and efficient and I remember just waiting for around 20 minutes. He was even honest when he told me he charges if I'd like to pay for you car registration through him. He was a very sweet man. read more

Not the best experience. I called in to get my car smoged. Gave him the year and model. He asked me to come in. We got the car lifted and 10 minutes later he told me the machine wasn't connected to the internet/DMV. He said come back. I didn't go back. I understand that there can be technical issues from time to time, but for me wasting a few hours he could have tried to offer a discount when I returned. Did not receive that. read more

I yelped and found this place... have never had to do a smog check and I was afraid of trusting anyone. Clean working area, very honest older man that basically told me..."I'll check to see if it will pass, before I do the test" no need to pay him and run the risk of the car not passing the test. So all went well... he checked my car, told me it should pass with no problem... and sure enough it did! He gave me a copy and told me that it was also sent to the DMV electronically. Definitely recommend this place. read more

I recently took two of my cars for a smog inspection and was advised that one had passed and the other car failed. He suggested I take the car that did not pass smog to his mechanic and he would be able to fix it. This seemed suspicious so I did not take my car to his mechanic and rather took it to my own mechanic. After inspecting my car, my mechanic found nothing wrong with the car. I went to the DMV to get my registration for the car that did pass smog and was advised they had no reports that had been sent to them. I went back to this place to speak with the person who was helping and he turned me away. Now I am forced to go somewhere else and pay again to have both my cars get a smog check. Very unprofessional business place and I am paid $130 for nothing. Do not go here! read more

If you want to fail your smog test please go to this guy. I only went there because DMV mandated I go to a "STAR" smog testing station. I think he gets bonus points from DMV for failing cars. This guy failed my car because he said a monitor was not ready even though I never had a "Check Engine" light on. Why couldn't he tell me this when he hooked his code reader to my car when it was still in the parking lot? He knew it wouldn't pass then, but still wanted my money for the smog test. After he failed me he demanded the money, and don't even think about a free retest because you won't get one from him. After he failed me he told me to drive on the freeway for a few hundred miles and everything should be okay. Thanks for nothing! He must not be doing well because he now shares half of his garage with some stereo installing shop. read more

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. I'll update this review once I get the car in for my first visit. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!
