I was looking for a vegan Soul Food restaurant. I ran across C4Eat online. I love supporting up incoming Black Own business. My experience there was not the best. First we were told it would take 15min to get our order, which took about 25-30, minutes. The Mac and cheese was too watery, the black eye peas and candy yams, was muchy! The yams did not taste homemade. They tasted like canned yams and the rice tasted like it was spoiled. At dinner time we were told the Colard Greens were not ready. The juice for $10 a bottle is waayy over priced and not good. The only thing that was descent was the fried chicken. We left from there restaurant and went straight to Piccadilly, where we got a full meal and a drink for $33 for two people not over $60. I can say I will not visit this this restaurant again. The food is very good, but not the best service. I've tried to call multiple times to ask questions and always goes to voicemail, so good luck if you have any questions about any items. Wait time is too long. I ordered a wrap and a sandwich for pick up and wait time online was 20-30 mins. I got there after 30 mins and still had to wait 10 minutes. Again, food is good, but a bit pricey...especially for the size portion. The wrap was pretty small but generous portion of fries. Should be bigger wrap for the price. I hope they improve...I'd love to support a local vegan place more often. read more

EXCELLENT FOOD!!!! Ordered our food and had it in front of us to eat in less than 15 minutes. KK and Jamerius took VERY good care of us. I had the oyster mushroom dinner w/ Mac n cheese, black eyed peas, collards and brown rice. My sister had the seafood basket (fried fish, shrimp and mama's fritters). Cooked to perfection, piping hot, excellently seasoned and all done with a smile and the best soundtrack playing whilst we ate . Here on vacation and stumbled upon this gem. Customer service was great and the food was delicious. We've been 3 times already and have tried the mega bomb'n burger, detonator chicken sandwich, bomb breakfast bowl, sausage breakfast sandwich, saeafood basket, mac & cheese, fried oysters, black eyed peas and rice, yams, and turkey burger. OMG!! I finally made it to C4Eats and I was impressed. I've been trying to get there every since the Hungry Black Man posted it on Facebook. I decided to order takeout on my way home from work. I'm so glad I did! I ordered the bomb burger combo. When I arrived about 15 minutes later my order was hot and ready to go. On my drive home I tasted a few of my sweet potato fries, which was so good I couldn't stop eating them. I tried hard to not "drive while eating", but I couldn't resist. First and foremost, the food made me and my fiancé sick. I'm so angry, I'm writing this in between trips to the bathroom to throw up. Chicken was flavorless and the Mac and cheese was not only watery but tasted like it, as well. On top of the food poisoning we got only 2 hours later, the employees were on face time or just on the phone while on the floor and customers were coming in. If anyone asked for something, the girl would set her phone down on a table, do the task then continue talking on the phone. First of all, it's a new spot in Downtown Hollywood! They've managed to open up during the crazy chaos so KUDOS ARE IN ORDER! Also, they serve vegan food that tastes delicious I'm not a vegan, nor a vegetarian but I'm ready to ditch the meat ones and switch to their vegan burgers for the rest of my life. THEY ARE THAT GOOD. The fries are great as well: both their regular and sweet potato ones. We went there during the soft opening about a week ago. The manager/owner? Randy welcomed us in in a most hospitable way. As a vegetarian of 30 years, I deeply appreciate any one who makes a go of a vegan restaurant in South Florida. 3 stars for that. That being said, I stopped by here today for the first time. 12-26-2021 Covid raging and no employees were wearing masks, including in the kitchen. The young lady who took my order was wearing a soiled shirt, didn't say hello and seemed impatient as I read the menu board for the first time. I was the only customer in there. On the food; it is representative of todays industrial vegan movement that is comprised almost entirely of heavily processed foods. Not one piece of broccoli or cauliflower offered. No tofu. Just imitation eggs and meats. I understand that they're trying to appeal to meat eaters but this trend is completely unappealing to vegetable lovers. It's effectively vegan fast food. read more

My meal was delicious! I ordered the chicken and waffles, it had flavor and the chicken was a little crispy. I didn't eat it all while there so took it home not knowing how it would taste reheated. I was expecting something different out of C4eats. They have a tendency to make dishes that imitate meat and I was looking forward to unique dishes that are more original. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, it took about 15-20 minutes to make which is something I'm not sure should take that long. Enjoyed the combo which comes with really good fries and lemonade/ginger drink that wasn't too sweet and tasted quite nice. Reasonable prices. Not a good place to eat in though. The outside tables aren't really suited for a comfortable meal. Inside is a limited bar stool type set up. They have all day vegan breakfast and they also are open late which is good. I'm thinking this location is not a good place for a vegan restaurant, downtown Hollywood in general is a mini disaster. No salads is a bit awkward except for a kale salad that I didn't see on the menu but they did offer it. I'm hoping that the restaurant gets a better menu in the near future. This was my second time trying out this place. The first time I ordered the "conch" and fries..maybe because I ordered pickup and I waited a little to pick the food was a little soggy. My husband and I decided to try today. Service was terrible. We ordered and was told 20 mins which turned into 1 hour. I ordered the "conch" tacos a sweet potato pie ,brown Spanish rice and my husband had the burger and fries. The tacos had a soapy taste..the rice was ok. The food here tastes amazing! They have an extensive all-day breakfast menu that you should definitely indulge in after normal breakfast hours. You will not be disappointed. Items are a little expensive here, but the price is justified due to everything being high-quality vegan food. The interior of the building is pretty small, but they do offer outdoor seating.
