Chik'n Dinner with Mac and Cheese and Fried Brussels Sprouts
    Joanne F.

C4Eats is a vegan restaurant in Hollywood. You truly do not have to follow a vegan diet to enjoy the food at this restaurant. I ordered the fried chick'n with mac & cheese and brussels sprouts. I do not eat chicken and was constantly questioning myself if this was actually chicken. It was spot on and delicious! I still think about the brussels sprouts and mac and cheese because they were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. I believe the owner took my order and she was absolutely lovely and very helpful.

I really loved my food here. Grabbed lunch with a friend. She got the mushroom, Mac and cheese, collard green combo. I got the ribs, Mac and cheese, brussel sprouts combo. Bit came with rice. Everything tasted great. While not a vegan I do like vegan dishes in general but my issue usually is that I don't stay full for long... but that wasn't the case with them. The food is great and very satisfying. The woman taking our order was very nice and gave great recommendations. I strongly recommend.

I finally made it after hearing great reviews about the food and owner. The food and service was amazing. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed in with a big smile. The place was beautiful and very clean. I ordered the popular crispy chik'n meal with a side of black eyed peas to go. My first bite were the peas!!!! I could have just ordered those for my meal, they were so good. The chik'n was seasoned well which I was not expecting. Felt like somebody grandma was in the kitchen. The yams a made sure to eat last because man oh man they deserved their own moment of silence. The Mac was good a little spicy but still good. I can't wait to come back down to try other items on the menu.

C4 eats is the place where they prioritize flavors but make sure it still meets your nutritional requirements. From conch fritters that leave you thinking that you can't believe there is no conch in there. A burger that is pure bomb. Like truly one of the best burgers I've had and there's no meat? What?! Plus a vegan wrap that puts all other wraps to shame. Their juices are super fresh. But you have to stay for the platters, we got the citrus rib tip and all I'm saying is now my New Year's resolution is to try their entire menu

Looking for a quick bite I stumbled upon this nice little space on the strip. Very unassuming but full menu of options. The person helping me with my order was very nice and helpful with explaining the menu. Once I grabbed my food to go, I went back to my car and took the first bite, and it was amazing. I had to finish half the sandwich before driving off because it was so good. Would def recommend as I know I will be back.

Yum! This vegan comfort food joint nails it! I love that they offer options for every time of day and that everything is plant based. I was there over lunch so I opted for one of the wraps, and it was hot, fresh, delicious, and filling. I was mildly distracted by the pool of grease left behind in the container it was delivered in, but I can't complain because I did ask for the chicken to be crispy rather than grilled. The staff person was nice and I enjoyed the outdoor seating on a sunny afternoon. There were fans and spritzers going, so I stayed cool while I waited for my food. Overall, a nice place to stop in for a fast and satisfying lunch.

This is another great spot I love for vegan food! I always get the rib tips--they're absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I haven't tried much else on the menu, but I did have the rib tip wrap, and it was just as amazing. I believe the owner is usually the one working there, and he's always super friendly and open to offering suggestions. I remember my first visit--he was especially welcoming and helpful. The food is made fresh, so there is a bit of a wait (around 15 minutes), but it's totally worth it. Plus, since you're in downtown Hollywood, you can take a stroll while waiting or simply relax inside. The space is small, but there are options for both indoor and outdoor seating. While it's not a huge spot, you could definitely set up a table for a small group. Overall, it's a great place for quality vegan food and a welcoming atmosphere!

I was laid up at home and I decided to order myself some DoorDash... I saw c4eats on the app and I had been wanting to give them a second try for quite a while... My first try was when they first opened over a year ago...maybe more. Back then I went in person and ordered at their counter. It took over an hour to have my burger and fries prepared and while in the process the fryer broke down... and I didn't get the fries at all. I figured they just needed some time to get their bearings. This time around I skipped on the burger but I went for the conch fritters and the fried oyster mushrooms and fries. Everything was delicious and it was still hot when it got to me! My next visit will definitely be for pancakes... Every time I see them on the app now I crave pancakes!

Cons: First thing I did was use the restroom which had a horrible smell and the toilet needed cleaning. The service was good at first then fell off after we ordered our food- which was strange because it was not busy at all. We ordered the screwdriver & peach Bellini to drink. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.

Everything we had was genuinely good and we'd definitely come back. First things first: the pancakes are HUGE. Seriously, if you're ordering one as a side, know that one pancake is easily enough for two people to share. We also tried the Secret Lemonade -- and for anyone wondering, "secret" basically means it's made in-house. It was fresh and tasty, but definitely on the sweeter side, so just be prepared if you don't typically like very sweet drinks. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich and really loved the flavor. The chicken was well seasoned, the biscuit was great, and overall it was delicious. My only small critique is that the portion feels a little small on its own, so I think it would be nice if it came with a side or something accompanying it. My husband is plant-based, and we appreciated that there was an option for him. He ordered the avocado toast along with a modified salad from the menu, which worked out well. Fluffy and sweet and not dry. Although I enjoyed my fried chicken biscuit enough to eat it all, it fell a tad short of my expectations. The biscuit and chicken were both lacking volume, the biscuit not fluffy enough and chicken not meaty enough. I couldn't pick it up without it all just crumbling apart. Menu claimed homemade biscuits, but maybe not made fresh that day? Chicken was wide but thin so every bite was just way too much breading and very salty. I would order something else next time. It's a teeny but charming restaurant that was packed when we got there. Luckily we were first on the list so got a table in 5 minutes. If there had been more people and a longer wait, downside is there's no room more than 2 people to stand and wait inside, and it was way too hot to have waited outside. Parking lot has plenty of space around back. All in all, it was a fun and cute spot to take my old folks for a family meal.
