I had a 512GB sd card that went bad a few days ago and I was frantically searching for places to assist in this recovery. I sent out a yelp project request and Wayne was one of the few people that was willing to take on the request. Mind you I asked on a weekend and Wayne said to bring it on in for an evaluation. WITHIN MINUTES, saw it was recoverable and so the rest is history. Wayne and his team made sure I knew what was going on through reports and multiple phone calls. I paid additional for rush but STILL ALL WORTH EVERY CENT. Exceeded the standards for sure. Best part is not only the level of service and hospitality, but my data has been saved. So thank you very much Wayne and your team! It may sound as if I'm overexaggerating but honestly come to Wayne and his team and you'll understand where I'm coming from. Then I talked to Wayne at Data Recovery Man (aka Alandata.com). He quoted me a very reasonable price and told me to bring the flash drive down to his Santa Ana shop for an evaluation. I took the device down to Wayne, and barely a couple of hours later I was back in my office WITH MY RECOVERED DATA. To say I am a happy and satisfied customer would be a monumental understatement.     Wow, so blessed and grateful with my experience with George at TecKnowCare…read more My boss had a printer that wasn't working. It didn't matter what we did to it. She was going to dump it. But I have big dreams so... I thought well... I don't know anyone, but maybe someone can help me fix it. I found George here on YELP and he is so personable and easy to relate to. Busy SoCal life for all, so we arranged a time that worked best for me. He had me bring it to him and within an hour he had it fixed in a jiffy like nothing was wrong with it! Also, it was nice working with someone who is HUMAN, a normal person with great consideration for others and a genuine authenticity of care for me, the customer. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and outcome off the cuff in need. I pretty much got an amazing find that needed Georges expertise and special touch. Now I have an awesome printer to do the things I feel called to do. He was gracious enough to sit with me for a few minutes too and make sure I knew how to operate it before taking it home. I'll definitely be referring you out to anyone in need of the services you provide. Thanks George for being all things to all people in authenticity, professionalism and transparency. Turns out that Office365 was no longer activated, and my Adobe Acrobat was defective. George and his team of computer pros came over and fixed everything. Now my computer is fast again and Outlook works again and Adobe has the secret sauce to open every again. Thanks George!

    If you're like me, you may have bought hard drives many years ago that you can't seem to get…read moreworking, but house years worth of files that are extremely valuable to you. I made the mistake of taking these drives to other places that offered free initial services which ended up being a big mistake as they could not recover a single MB. Mike over at DriveCrash should be the first person you contact if you value your files. Their location is COVID friendly, everyone there wore masks, and there's plenty of parking. After Mike opened up one of my drives, he saw that the previous shop had caused irreversible damage. However, the good news was he was able to recover a portion of the drive which was not as damaged. The second drive had better luck and was able to be fully recovered. Communication was excellent in person, by phone, and through email. Mike was able to provide live updates and walked me through any questions/concerns I had. While data recovery is not the cheapest process, I was given a reasonable price and had my files back within a week. Hoping I won't have drives crash on me in the future but I know where I'll take them if I do.

I was referred by a friend a while ago and also occasionally there's a cafe I go to next door. My old Mac Pro laptop seemed like it was at the end of its life, so I remembered them and went to seek some answers. From the moment I came in the CompuTech place , the team was kind, patient, and professional. They quickly diagnosed the issue with my explained everything clearly, and gave me an honest estimate. With all the work and the age of my computer, they offered me an alternative. I ended up buying one of their used laptops ( another similar newer model Mac Pro) that was newer than mine and overall would make better sense as an investment in the end. So they would transfer the data over from my old computer. It was a great deal. What really stood out was how fast they were able to turn it around - they fixed it sooner than expected, saved my data and I was so happy. Just recently after purchasing the laptop from them, I am a teacher with a lot of students & earlier that day I had used the computer but when I got it home it wasn't turning on-there was no power... It was weird! . So, I took it in and they said they would have a look and get back to me since it did not immediately turn on. They quickly got back to me and let me know it was an issue with my mother board, they told the usual fix for this was about $275 but that they would only charge $125 because I had purchased it from them. I thought that was fair. I reached out again a few days later and they said it was more complicated- apparently some liquid had gotten in there and they had more serious repairs to make. Knowing this information really freaked me out because it's my main computer that I use at my office/school/at home. I was very concerned. They took a little more time to repair and I understood why. I was honestly expecting for them to charge me more, but they were kind enough to stand by their original quote. I saw that the time and labor actually was $375 & I was so appreciative of them doing such great service. My computer was back to normal (whew!) and they even followed up afterward to make sure everything was working perfectly. It's rare to find such knowledgeable, caring, thorough yet affordable service these days. I highly recommend Ash & the CompuTech team to anyone needing computer repair or tech help -- you won't be disappointed, it's a hidden gem to keep. Bless you guys & thanks again! Since it was during a holiday, I didn't want to bother them too much, but I didn't receive any updates for nearly three weeks. When I finally called to check the status, the owner told me they couldn't repair it. While I understand that not every repair is possible, I would have preferred to be informed sooner so I could retrieve my laptop. Later that same day, the owner called back and said they might be able to source a donor laptop to swap parts and asked for an additional two weeks. I agreed to give them more time. However, after the promised 2 weeks, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called again. The owner didn't have an update and asked me to call back the next day. When I did, the owner became upset, claiming he had told me to call back at noon, which he ABSOLUTELY had not. Why does it take a day just to check the status anyways? BTW I called at 11:50 am! Are you F ing kidding me you are upset for 10 minutues (which I was not even aware of) after a month of no response? His reaction was VERY unprofessional. He then calls me for the first time at 12:00 pm to tell me they still couldn't fix the laptop. I picked up my laptop and took it to an old friend who used to do repair work. Even though he's semi-retired and farther away, he diagnosed the issue correctly and had the laptop running again within three days. This may have been an isolated experience, but I highly recommend you avoid this place. I won't be returning!
