Our TV is a 65-inch Sony Bravia (model XBR-65X850F) that we bought in 2018, and it has already been with us for eight years. When it broke down, we hesitated over whether to buy a new one or have it repaired. After a quick search on Yelp, we found Mr. Gao's information. He replied immediately after we messaged him and came to our house the very same day to inspect it.His initial diagnosis was a faulty mainboard. To be completely sure, he took both the mainboard and the power board back with him for a more detailed diagnosis. To make a long story short, two weeks later, he returned with a newly purchased replacement board, installed it back into my TV, and successfully fixed it! Since the boards for the 850F model are discontinued and no longer available on the market, he had to buy an 850G board as a substitute and modify it slightly to make it compatible with my TV. I am not professional enough to understand the exact technical details, but I am certain it took considerable time and specialized knowledge to pull off! I found the repair cost to be very fair--around 40% of what I originally paid for the TV. Some people might not find it worth it, but I am so glad I can keep using this TV instead of scrapping a perfectly working LED screen and creating a massive piece of electronic waste.

My iPhone suddenly went black. I had the same issue about a year ago, and replacing the screen…read morefixed it. This time, this shop told me it was definitely a screen problem and worked on the phone. Later, they told me the logic board was also bad and wanted to charge me extra to replace it, so I decided not to continue. After I took the phone home, there was a white line on the screen, and the phone became extremely hot. It never overheated before the repair. I cannot say for sure if this was caused during the repair, but before the repair, the only problem was the black screen. After the repair, it had serious overheating and a white line. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this repair shop.
