*****Five stars for Ray at Tech Trekkers***** My 79-year-old uncle was moving into a new house and needed to switch phone providers. On paper that's a simple job. For him it was beyond daunting. He doesn't have a smartphone or internet, so his landline is his lifeline, and the messy handoff between services had him more stressed than I'd seen him in years. I live out of state, so I did the research for him. I talked to several companies that offer in-home tech help, and Tech Trekkers was clearly the right fit. I connected my uncle with Ray, and from the first conversation Ray put him at ease. He came in with an "I've got this, I'll solve it for you" attitude, and then he delivered well beyond what my uncle had hoped for. And cost-effectively. Ray didn't just get the job done right. He did it with patience, warmth, and the kind of personal attention you rarely find anymore. He worked at my uncle's pace, explained things in plain language, and made sure everything was working before he left. My uncle went from dreading the whole thing to telling me about the great who made a huge positive difference for him. If my uncle knew how to use speed dial, Ray would be on it. If you have an older family member who needs tech help from someone who will treat them with respect, call Ray @ Tech Trekkers. read more

I reached out to Tech Trekkers yesterday to get help with some Ethernet ports around our house and I'm so happy to have found them when I did. Despite reaching out to them fairly late in the evening, Ray was quick to respond and got me scheduled for the next day. Within 2 hours of being here, Paul was able to fix all of the issues we had and even helped me fix and issue with my internet service provider. This level of customer service and expertise is exactly why I will be going to them again for our next house & my office needs. read more

If you need help with your computer they are the go to place. They can help you with just about everything

Very professional and service-minded. Recommended a way to save money on my requests. Extremely favorable pricing.

I found my new IT guy. I will never have too set any new tech again. Just give Paul at Tech Trekkers a call. You have no idea the elation of knowing there's someone out there that can come and set up or fix any tech. I've been the reluctant IT person at home with moderate success until I reached my capacity with my new mesh system that simply wasn't meshing. I got it all set up & working for a couple weeks, tossed the box, and within the return period (no box anymore so can't return) the 2 satellites stopped satelliting. Problems started after I struggled getting my printer to re-connect, then did the whole unplug/turn off/reboot/ update firmware thing, and the Orbi dropped it's out satellites and 2 of my Sonos speakers. Somehow the rest of the devices stayed connected so it was tolerable until Paul came out next day. At least I have no shame since it took nearly 2 hours to fix, but fix it he did. FWIW, Orbi is not the mesh system to get. It's glitchy & problematic. EERO is the recommended way to go. Orbi gets one more chance, then off it goes to the wifi router farm in the country with all the other wifi routers where it can romp & play in the land of oddball wifi routers. But I digress, 5-stars, 10/10, highly recommend Tech Trekkers. read more

For the third time, Tech Trekkers quickly solved my computer problem--this time a financial scam. Ray checked my computer for malware, deleted an app that could have invaded all my financial information, warned about how to detect financial scammers, fixed my wi-fi, and maybe best of all, told the scammer who persisted in calling me for over a week from various areas codes that he "would go to hell where he would have an eternity to be punished." All this in less than an hour. Tech Trekkers provide prompt, very effective, high-quality, and valuable service at a very reasonable rate, especially considering how quickly they resolve the issue that is charged by the hour! read more

Had a privacy warning on my network regarding encryption being blocked. Great job, good price, very professional! Will definitely use again! read more

I am in Huntington Beach at a temporary location, based out of San Diego. I was desperate for a WIZARD and a PROFESSIONAL PC Personal Computer Technical Expert to make a home office call. Our mission consisted of many installation issues and transferring content from an Alienware (fake gamer - take that!) desktop computer to an almighty Corsair Gamer desktop superstar! Additional challenges included syncing multiple workstations with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Stream Deck, printers, keyboard, and macros. Paul even recommended a great online game to play besides the best in the 'Verse "Star Citizen" over a theatre-like Samsung 55" Odyssey Ark 2nd Gen. Quantum Mini-LED Curved Gaming Screen. Don't waste your time with anyone else in Orange County. Many of them have horrible websites, lousy connectivity and poor customer service. One even wanted a deposit - go away! Be patient with Mr. Ray - operations. Sim- techy Mr. Paul - pays attention to detail - and will take "insanely spectacular" great care of you! TLC-baby! read more

Tech Trekkers - MH: Home Office - Huntington Beach - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me - Irvine, California

I have my business out of my home and rely on my computer heavily. My computer kept "freezing" and I had to keep manually shutting it down. I had resigned myself to having to replace my computer. I reached out to Tech Trekkers. Ray called me back within the hour. Paul came to my house and diagnosed the issue, "cloned" and replaced my hard drive. He even left the old hard drive, so I had a back-up of the data. Paul not just worked quickly and efficiently, but also explained what he was doing and gave me "tech tips" along the way. To say he was a godsend is not an understatement. Thank you, Paul, for saving my computer, $$ and my sanity. Only tech company I will be using and referring. read more

Ray responded to me within a half hour of my call for help. I had been exasperated with Quicken for a while. He was able to fix 5 accounts and re-sync them with Wells Fargo within one short hour!! I could have never done this in a million years. Each hour I spent trying took a few months off of my life for sure!! Ray was kind, courteous...and most importantly... brilliant! He never sounded defeated for one second. He was great and everyone, everywhere should use him!!! Seriously!!! He's amazing!! Barbara read more

Ray (owner) was super prompt with returning messages via Yelp and text, so it was easy to communicate with him. I sent him a photo of my issue along with model # of my laptop, and he was able to pre-order the replacement part needed prior to me dropping off my laptop for service. Fast turn-around, reliable, and very fair pricing. I really hope my laptop doesn't have issues in the future, but I would definitely call on Tech Trekkers again! read more

WOW - found my forever IT guy - prompt, professional and patient - won't use anyone else - love ya Paul

We had an excellent experience both on line & in person with this company! I discovered Ray with a Yelp search. The initial problem was with emails & Ray kindly explained that a recent update was causing the glitch and he was right on the money. My next issue involved QuickBooks & that required a house call. Ray was available & was at my office within an hour. Our issue was fixed within 30 minutes for a very affordable fee. He even gave us a 20% discount for being a Yelp client. We will save his contact information & definately call him when we upgrade our computers in the fall. read more

I would give 10 stars if I could!! You just found THE BEST mobile IT service & PC repair company in all of Orange County. Ray took my call in the a.m. and serviced my computer later that same day. He was respectful (wore a mask), polite, clean, reasonable, efficient, honest and above all, a true miracle worker. His expertise and skills are AMAZING! My hard drive crashed and yet he was able to restore all my files (NO LOSSES!). I also had him add Microsoft 10 and most importantly he installed a new hard drive. As luck would have it, I hadn't yet backed up the documents that I was working on when my hard drive failed. THANK YOU RAY for your impeccable skills!! You saved the day AND my valuable files read more

Ray was an unexpected treat in this age of apathetic customer service. I dropped off my 2013 MacBook Pro and the parts necessary, and two days later (I was in no rush) I got back my machine, and it will now have a chance at several more years of service. Good value. Excellent work. Great communication. Going above and beyond. It's not hard and it makes people happy. Thanks, Ray :) read more

I needed a new laptop and wanted advice as well as setting up the new laptop. I was on a deadline as I needed the laptop by a certain day/time. Ray texted with me to help me narrow my laptop choices and confirmed when he thought I had a good product according to my needs and price range. He set up my new laptop, transferred the information from my laptop and made sure I had it when I needed it. My computer had this problem where it would consistently shut off not allow me to use it. I brought in my pc to tech trekkers and Ray was extremely nice, he walked me through the process and told me what they were going to do. He ran the free diagnostic for 5-6 hours and found that there was actually no problem at all with my computer. He gave me a couple suggestions on what to do and my computer hasn't hiccuped since. Ray is an extremely nice person who keeps it real with his communication, doesn't sugarcoat anything or find fake problems to fix. He was transparent and I highly recommend tach trekkers to people looking for fixing their pc issues. read more

Called for help with a laptop refusing to power on and got flatly denied because I'm running Ubuntu on the machine. I understand not having the skill set needed to diagnose the operating system, but I was hoping that since it was a hardware issue such a highly rated business would either be willing to attempt to get it to boot & let me take it from there, or suggest another service that would be able to help. read more
