We just moved in to a house with no AC and the days are quickly getting hotter so first priority was to get AC installed. I had heard problems with getting good AC contractors so I decided to do a 3 contractor bid process. I soon found my options were limited because I wanted to have installation right away and contractors were already pushing out by a month. I chose to include C S Mechanical based on my search on Yelp for good reviews. The 2nd contractor based on a business associates referral, the 3rd contractor was a referral from a contractor who was too busy to do my job so gave me another name to call. Not surprising the 3rd contractor first didn't respond to my message requesting estimate, then came out and did walk thru but didn't give estimate till week later, and then a week AFTER that I got a call from their office asking do you want an estimate? Glad I didn't go with that company. The other contractor was very good and knowledgeable but there was some hesitation on committing to an installation date. Instead I chose C S Mechanical. Reid answered my phone call and asked me to email him the details of my job. Then he followed up that night with email and requested a walk through to estimate the job. He even called the morning of coming out to make sure the time still worked and then promptly showed up. We had the estimate emailed by the following Monday. Reid really knows his trade. He provided recommendations but listened to what we wanted as well. He described each of the units and where they would be placed. The electrical was going to be tricky for us as there was some additional work that would need done there but he offered to bring in the electrician to give us a bid for that portion so there would be no surprises. He scheduled the install and he and his team showed up exactly on time. They all introduced themselves and each one of them was polite and professional and friendly. A really clean cut crew. We had not really nailed down the exact location of the splits but the crew lead showed me the options that would work and explained the benefits of what they thought would be the best placement. That was an extra touch I hadn't thought about or expected. They also cleaned up after themselves with little hand held vacuums. I have a small dog and they made sure to keep the baby gates in place and gate closed all the way behind them when working outside. The final touch was the outside covers on the pipes down the wall to the compressors and how nice they looked. The end result was uninterrupted work to complete the installation exactly as agreed and at the price exactly as estimated. This is an extremely well run company with employees that know what they are doing. I will strongly recommend this company for AC installation and Reid said he has guys to come out and do regular check ups on our equipment so with that and the warranties I am confident we really made the right choice! read more

From the beginning to the end, he has helped us with installing our A/Cs in our home especially dealing with our association. He was quick with giving me the estimations and what type of brands were available. When it was time to install the A/Cs, his team were there on time and were ready to get to work. These guys got it done at a reasonable price. A rain delay extended the work time, but the whole house was still done in two days. Other than a spilled coffee left in my living room, they pretty much cleaned up after the job. They all l kept me up to date during the job as well. As an advocate of uniforms, they should get t-shirts or something, so I don't think there's a stranger lurking by their work trucks. The boss was here at the beginning, but I didn't see him after that. It'd be cool to get closure, but I guess as long as the job gets done, it's okay. This was the year that we finally decided that we absolutely needed AC in our home. We called around, got estimates and ultimately decided to go with Reid and his guys at C.S. Mechanical. Reid was out to check out our house the day after we called for an estimate and provided a super reasonable quote. He walked us through every step of the process from where the units would be most efficiently placed to where the fans ect would be best installed on the outside of the house. His crew of guys were super polite and always took off their shoes every time they came into the house (we didn't even expect that!) We needed to replace our 30K BTU split AC and Bryan came to look at our old unit on the day and time he promised. He provided a written estimate the next day and promptly answered a few follow-up questions. JR and another guy showed up on the scheduled work day and did a great job. They always wore their masks - both inside and outside. JR provided some good advice on placement of the inside unit and even routed the water outlet pipe into our existing drainage system (a small job but much appreciated). Had two split units installed two weeks ago. Reid was very professional during the estimation process and answered any questions we had. The workers who came to do the install were very professional as well and cleaned up after they were done. Once we decided to go with them we were able to schedule the install the very next Monday. The quality of the installation was excellent. They were able to install a unit via the attic since that room faced the front of the house and would have been unsightly to see a bunch of hoses lining the front of the house from the side of the house where the outside unit was installed. Received such great service last year from Reid that we called him to replace our old living room split AC and discuss options to allow more cooling of the living room, dining area and office. He was at our home within two days of our call. We ended up putting a second split AC in the kitchen area. Reid gave us quotes on Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and Daikin units. Reid is the most honest, reliable, and knowledgeable person when dealing with any AC units. I am a new and first time homeowner and not even a month into the house my AC began to shut down. For almost two days I have been going back and forth trying to find a legitimate AC company that would not charge me an arm and a leg and just all around honest about the problems I have been having with my AC. Because my daughter has severe eczema and began breaking out, I knew I could not delay the issues with my AC any longer. I spent the whole Saturday morning trying to call AC companies that were open around ewa beach and kapolei area and no one answered. I began to reach out to other cities and finally got an answered call from Reid (C S mechanical) I explained exactly what was happening to my AC (the fan outside was running but no cold air at all) and he took time to explain what might be the problem. Then he told me that it would be best if he just came by to better identify the problem. ALREADY I WAS SO PLEASED with the service!! That morning, he was all the way down in Waimanalo and I am in Ewa beach. During the service he shared his knowledge and broke down exactly what he was doing. Again, another thing I truly appreciated. After several hours of trying to service my AC he finally fixed the issue. Although I was happy with the AC finally blowing cold air, he wasn't pleased because it was working a little slower than usual but he also explained that the unit I had was a lot older and smaller for the size of my home. So he said for future reference when problems occur he is willing to work with us as far as purchasing a new unit and comparing prices with us. I tried for weeks to reach the original installer of a Fujitsu AC, and was getting nowhere. He finally stopped by and said my circuit board was fried because of a gecko; said the warranty wouldn't cover it, and wanted to charge me $500. Then he avoided my calls! Frustrated, I looked on Yelp and found the great reviews for CS Mechanical. I talked to Reid who answered his phone promptly, and said he would come over to troubleshoot my AC's. I had already talked to a couple other AC companies. One was kind of pricey and they wanted me to wait three months to install. No way! The second one gave me a verbal price quote but didn't return my calls when I had a question or wanted to set up an appointment. No way! I returned to Yelp. I decided to call CS Mechanical. I called CS Mechanical. I talked to Reid on a Monday. I explained my story to him. I told Reid that I wanted four split systems, was very motivated to get these installed, and was looking for a quick quote. Reid came over a couple of days later on a Wednesday, took some measurements, and agreed that the split units that I was looking for were the right size. After talking to Reid, I determined that Fujitsu were the AC units for me. Reid said that he would have a quote by Friday. I called him back as soon as I got the quote and said that I would like for him to install the four units. He texted me back saying that he will check his inventory and the AC supply's inventory and get back to me. Reid got all of the units and had his crew install them on Tuesday and Wednesday. We researched which split a/c would be best for our needs more importantly which company would provide the best overall service. We wanted a professional company with fair prices and WOW did we hit the jack pot with this company.
