Thanks to the other reviews I wasn't expecting a lot. Yes, lots of confusion at C Rock. Don't expect anything to happen when it's suppose to. I ordered mulch and boulders in the same load. Mulch goes in, some boulders go in, big boss comes by and stops it all, says the driver has to deliver a load of dirt...to another unhappy customer. So they dump the load back into the mulch pile, rocks and all. How does such a company stay in business I have no idea. The boss is a micro manager so the employees try, but can't really do anything. It makes sense what other reviewers are saying...getting clean material is going to be hit and miss. And looking at the yard you can see it's a mess. They have a mountain of dirt and they've piled an even bigger pile of rock on top of. They try to pull the dirt out from under the rock but it doesn't really work. This is not a place you can order over the phone and expect to actually get. You have to go there. I don't think this is because they're dishonest, just don't seem to understand why they can't mix materials. But they are really cheap on some things. I found them honest and willing to try and fix mistakes, but boy do they make a lot of mistakes. My suggestion is you have to be there to see what they dump into the truck. If you wait until they dump on your site you're screwed. They may want to fix it but they're just unable to perform simple tasks. You have to supervise every step. Do not pay unless they say they're ready to load the truck right then...money drives everything there. Ask for a refund and all of sudden the big boss can answer a phone and things happen...screwing some other customer no doubt, but that's their problem. After the truck is loaded stay there until it leaves the yard because you just don't know what they're going to do. It was very entertaining to watch this show. I would use them again if what I needed was a lot cheaper and I watched every step. But I'm close by so making the several trips there wasn't a huge deal. Forget about calling them...you have to be there so you can say "refund my money" and then you're next in line. read more

Made an appointment a week ago for an estimate at my home between 12-2pm today. Called at 1:40 to confirm and was told the estimator was on his way. Called again at 2:40 and was told he was on a job that ran long and could arrive by 4:30. It's now 5:05. No estimator, no call, and they don't answer the phone even though they're supposed to be open until 6pm. You know what? No business from me either. Update: The estimator finally arrived, walked around my yard without taking any measurements, and verbally quoted me a price of $5,000. No thanks. read more

It was my first time buying landscape rock, and the person at the yard sold me the "wrong" rock... Basically the rock they helped me to select was much more expensive then what I actually paid for, which would have been fine - Except they later realized THEIR mistake and refused to deliver my rock until I paid the difference... Delaying the delivery for days! Since it was their mistake, I requested that they give me the rock I was sold, for the price I had already paid... But I found myself without returned phone calls, and talking to people with no answers. I needed the gravel quickly and paid the difference but then spoke with the owner. He offered me a $200 credit towards a future purchase, but I really wanted the money instead... Finally, after far more discussing and debating then should have been necessary, he said he would meet me at the job site to give me the difference back in cash because he was unable to do a credit card refund. The gravel came, but the cash didn't... Nonetheless, here I am a few months later trying to utilize the $200 credit I was promised and the owner refused to honor it! The sales people remembered me and remembered the offer, but did nothing to stand behind their word. This is without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a company. I manage a horse sanctuary and we frequently need dirt to fill our horses' stalls. We had a previous load of dirt donated to us by some good friends that was delivered by C Rock and Supplies with no problems so I decided to go with them again. Big mistake. When I placed the order on a Monday or Tuesday, I stressed that we needed 20 tons of clean dirt - no rocks, stones or boulders. Our horses lie down in the dirt and the rocks can hurt them, not to mention we prefer for them not to be stepping on small stones that can become lodged in their hooves. I asked for my receipt to be sent to my email. That never happened. I figured they would get around to it in a day or two and thought nothing of it. That Thursday we got our delivery. The driver couldn't navigate the truck to the location we wanted the dirt (the last guy did it just fine), so we told him to dump it at another spot. It was raining during the delivery, so I thought nothing of the clumps and clusters in the dirt, thinking it was just wet. The following Tuesday (this past Tuesday), after the stalls had dried out a little, my volunteers began shoveling dirt into wheelbarrows to put into the stalls. They came back and brought to my attention the fact that there were rocks in the dirt. Upon further inspection of the pile, I found many boulders - one almost a foot in diameter - and other very large rocks and stones. Hmm. I called the office and let the girl know that we'd gotten some rocks mixed up in our dirt. The girl that answered the phone didn't have the faintest idea of what to do. I asked if we could get 5 more tons of clean dirt or so, to make up for the useless rocks we had paid for but not ordered. She put me on hold for a good five minutes only to answer then tell me she would talk to the bosses and let me know what they could do. I thanked her then waited as she seemingly put me on hold again. After a minute, I look at my phone only to discover she had HUNG UP ON ME! I called back and could hardly believe that no one answered my phone call and it went to voicemail. I left a message requesting an immediate response and received none. When I finally called back an hour or two later, the girl said she had to get my receipt to see what we had been charged with and then talk to the bosses and would let me know what they said. Taking the time to get a receipt for an unhappy customer apparently wasn't high on the priority list for C Rock but again, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The girl said they were swamped with people. That's fine - I used to work retail so I know how that goes. I said okay and asked for someone who would be able to help me to call me the following morning (Wednesday). Not to my surprise, that didn't happen. Wednesday I called and was told that the bosses came in at 1pm and they would talk to them again about my situation since the lady who answered the phone didn't have the authority to make the decision of giving me free dirt. I reminded her that it had been over a week and I still hadn't been sent my receipt. Again, I asked to get a call that afternoon. That didn't happen, though I did finally get my receipt that afternoon. Thursday I called in the morning and was told that the bosses had been talked to and they had agreed to give us 5 tons of dirt - clean, rock and boulder-free dirt - on Saturday. Great. Easy fix. Mistakes happen, and they were finally correcting theirs. The driver showed up on Saturday. Great guy - very friendly, and knew how to drive the truck. But when he dumped the dirt, I saw that C Rock had given us THE EXACT SAME DIRT THEY'D GIVEN US LAST TIME. Dirt mixed in with boulders and rocks - completely unusable to us. For the second time. Even the driver was appalled. I immediately called the office and demanded to speak to a manager. Not surprisingly, I was told that the boss wouldn't be in until Monday after 9am. I requested a phone call at that time. I will be very surprised if someone actually calls me. I intend to ask for my money back and for both loads of unusable dirt to be taken away. I am extremely disappointed in the unprofessionalism C Rock has shown and will be telling everyone I know in my industry to stay far, far away. read more

I have ordered rock from this company several times in the past and got what I ordered. I needed some of the same rock I ordered last time so went back there, they didn't have it at that location but said they could get it for me. I ordered 15 ton and paid nearly $700. Two days later, the rock arrived and was dumped in my yard. Not only was what I got not the right rock, it was at least 70% dirt!.... I called to complain that I didn't get what I ordered and was told by the girl on the phone that the rock came that way and there's nothing they can do. I paid $42 a ton for dirt that should have cost $18 a ton. I demanded something be done but had to wait 2 more days before the manager called me. She was very pleasant and attempted to resolve but had to talk to the owner first. He offered to bring me some more of the dirt I didn't want for free!!! I finally persuaded them to refund me for 1/3 of what I paid for it thinking I could change my whole plan and go a different direction since what I got could no way be used for the project I was doing. I began on the new plan but the more I worked with this product, the worse it got. It is just a rocky version of dirt and clay, when you step on it your foot sinks into the dirt, it's the worst. My dogs are keeping it a constant mess because even their feet sink into it. The most horrible product ever to work with and is completely unusable. I'm stuck with a huge pile of garbage product!!!! I will never do business with these people again. Don't deliver what you order, product is below the lowest standard and they don't want to make it right. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! read more

Stopped at C Rock last Sunday just to ask basic questions and to get prices. We walked around found the products we wanted. Ask an employee for assistance and he said let me get my boss. The boss shows up and is a total jerk. He didn't give us prices and kept asking how much product was needed. Our response was that we were just getting prices and needed to measure. He then said $300 cash only and delivery today. He refused to let us measure and return at a later date, He refused to honor the $300 price at a later date. He didn't have a business card. Stay away from this company. I went into the office to personally pick out rocks for my front yard. I ordered 8 tons of Apache Pink 1/2 inch. The rocks, dirt and pebbles were delivered the following day. I got about 1/3 dirt and pebbles. After speaking with the manager she says their invoice states to expect up to 50% dirt in the order. Excuse me...when I purchase a foot long hot dog, I don't expect 50% hot dog and 50% bread crumbs and meat scraps. They are the worst! read more

Don't use C Landscaping (part of C Rock & Supplies) very unorganized and the boss leaves his help and they do not speak English nor understand it. I came home from work at 5:30, we had to dodge small piles of rock in the street, drive over a pile of rock to get in our garage, they put a damaged wheelbarrow across the street in a neighbors front yard and of course no one could walk on the sidewalk on our side of the street because of rock from street to front yard. They didn't do as we had asked on laying the rock, too much in the front and not enough in the back even though more was ordered than really needed. read more

We ordered gravel through C Rock and Supplies. During delivery the driver damaged curbing and landscaping. My husband and I have attempted to reach them via phone and email to communicate about the needed repairs, but we haven't received any contact or replies. We have been extremely patient, but without communication on their end, we can only assume they are giving us the run-around at this point. If anything changes, I will update my review or write a new one, but at this time, I would not recommend doing business with C Rock and Supplies. read more

Place is a joke, have bought material in the past there and needed a little bit more dirt to finish my yard. So I go there today and the girl in the office can barely speak english let alone understand it was rude and probably could care less I was in there. I told her I only needed a half ton of dirt and she said it was $15. A ton costs $18, so really don't understand how a half could cost $15, maybe I'm missing something. Anyways I said f it give me a ton then. Now when they load you up they don't even weigh your material. So how do you even know what you're getting to begin with?! I needed only 1/4 ton each of two products with total cost of approx. $15 with need for 1 plus ton of more expensive product later hauling all myself. The owner stated there was a minimum charge of $14 for each totaling $28. There was more to this story that involved him lying as to who he was stating his office girl was the owner. I am never exactly thrilled about calling. We had a ton vs yard controversy. I think they owe me. Not exactly the brightest in house,but what do you expect? I called C Rock and Supplies for a quote and was offered a free estimate the customer service there was phenomenal ! I had the gravel delivered and spread in two days after the estimate. There rock price was up to $10.00 cheaper than an other place I had called while price checking. Im very impressed and will definetly be calling them when I get around to fixing my back yard. read more

I have ordered landscape rock here twice. Both times delivery was what I ordered on time and placed exactly where I wanted it. (not easy with a big truck and a small yard) Their prices are competitive and they have a good selection. Jonny B is right that English is not the office girls first language but a little patience works wonders. I don't speak Spanish but had no problems completing my business. They have 2 very nice and helpful young ladies that work in the office. They have good prices for gravel and they also offer spreading of the gravel for a good price. The gravel they delivered (free delivery) was 1/4" washed Madison Gold, exactly as promised. They can charge less for spreading of the gravel because they have the delivery truck wait and dump directly into wheelbarrows so the men can spread the gravel - that's saves the time and effort of shoveling the gravel off the street and into the wheelbarrow. I think they only spread gravel on Saturdays, and also Sundays if necessary. I had 20 tons each delivered and spread on 2 consecutive days (so 40 tons total) - each time it took 4 men about 3 hours. Total cost was about $1,000 including tax for each load, about 1/2 the cost was for the gravel and the other 1/2 was for the spreading. The laborers have only the most rudimentary knowledge of English, but they were very friendly and did a totally professional job. The only knock was that I was told they would come in the morning on Saturday, and they actually came in the afternoon. They completed the work by the end of the day, and so it worked out fine for me, but that might bother some people. The second day they did come in the morning as promised. I would definitely use them again. read more
