This store is a sensory nightmare. If you have any sort of migraines, sensory issues, hate loud…read morenoises, or just want to talk to the person you're with, don't go to this location. As you walk in, there is a high pitched store alarm going off at the entrance. You can see the box and the lights flashing, indicating an alarm is happening. No employees seem to notice or be able to do anything about it. They just keep doing whatever they're doing. Then as you walk further into the store, that aforementioned alarm gets much louder to the point where at least 1/4 of the store is unshoppable. It gave my wife and I both terrible headaches almost instantly. We tried to escape that area and went further back into the store. Guess what? Another loud and annoying section with a broken air conditioning system vent that sounds like a jet engine. It is so loud you literally have to yell to communicate with someone 2 feet from you. All the while, employees just wander around doing their job. One did stop to apologize for the noise while my wife and I were shouting over it to pick out throw pillows. We honestly had to give up and get out of there. What a fun environment they've created at this store! If you or your loved ones suffer from migraines, headaches, or sensory issues, avoid this store at all costs!!!

I found some brand new Asics for my husband for under $10 and this lovely dining set. The staff was so helpful. I have a big hunt coming up, and I'm letting him outfit me for the next outing or horseback ride. All his products deserve to be showcased at the Cowboy Christmas in Vegas! This is one of those eclectic furnishing and giftware stores that beckons me like a treasure hunt…read more The search begins when you park on the side of the building (where all sorts of metal frames and wood doors may be found) and peer at a large "entrance" sign above a large wood door that actually doesn't open. One then walks around to the front where a stone paved sidewalk with a garden variety of beautiful plants, some this summer slightly blocking the walkway, guides you to the main entrance. Inside there are a variety of metal/wood furniture pieces that have been hand forged or updated in numerous ways. An antique writing desk is in a backroom that has been updated with steel pieces giving it a vintage yet contemporary appeal. There was a nostalgic letter inside this desk from no less than the owner sharing its long family history. I have purchased giftware and a metal wood side table for my living room from Urban. There are bars, dining tables, signing and a lot of original art. There is also lighting, some of the Indian variety, and a range of Mexican and Southwest artifacts. It is worth the trip and also making the rounds a few times. I enjoy that someone is not peering down your back and one is left to wander. A Phoenix gem. I will be back!

It was our last stop of store touring and had we known how cool this place is we wouldn't have gone anywhere else. I was in awe of all the artistry in every piece of furniture in here from the moment we walked in. (The landscaping outside was equally impressive.. If only we had a yard!). Once we walked in we were greeted by Nick. We told him what we were looking for and he directed us to pieces he recently finished among others in his store. If there wasn't anything we liked he was happy to put something together. But that was not the case...we liked Just about everything in his store. We had him make us a zinc top table with an angle iron base along with a bench made of reclaimed wood and steel. He custom made these items based on the measurements we gave him and the look we were going for. We left the design in his hands and they came out as we had hoped! We've since been back as his store always has new things. KUDOS for the fact that the one-of-a-kind pieces he made were locally sourced and manufactured here in PHX! Awesome!

When I think of a store that has something for everyone at a good price, I think of HomeGoods. The employees are helpful, and there is an organized way to check out where there is one line and a whole bunch of registers with a number flashing and announcement being made when the next person in line can be assisted. This is also where returns are made. My wife and I have been there recently as we just got a dog, and they have several aisles of pet supplies from treats to beds to bowls and so much more. I also remember going this past December to stock up on holiday gifts (and they sure had a large selection of wonderful baskets at great prices!). I also remember finding fun gifts for my staff and students before. I know my mother in law and wife enjoy shopping regularly at HomeGoods, and this location is convenient with good service and products. I have also been impressed with the flexibility that the staff have had with their policies from their return policy to how they handle receipts. It is nice to see staff have autonomy to support customers while also still following protocols and processes. That empowerment goes a long way, and it may explain why the staff seem to enjoy working there. HomeGoods is part of the same company as TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Sierra, and HomeSense. It is a part of the TJX Rewards Credit Card program, where you can earn 5% back every time you shop with the card. I wish they delivered or shipped because I would've bought a lot more. The customer service was great. The girl the cashier was so friendly and so sweet, incredibly accommodating. In New York, especially anything that's in the five boroughs. In there HomeGoods things are broken thrown on the floor. It looks like a hot mess often! It was so refreshing to be here where everything looks like its employees and management truly care about their merchandise, I can't wait to come back my next trip to Phoenix .
