For our wedding anniversary, I researched a good restaurant, and I'm so happy it was worth it! The place is beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor dining. We parked right in front of the restaurant and waited for it to open at 11 AM. There was plenty of parking available, which was great. We loved the appetizer: an ahi, crab, and avocado stack, so fresh and flavorful! I had the seafood pappardelle pasta, and my husband tried the blackened fish tacos, which were huge and absolutely delicious. We forgot the names of our drinks, but they were really good and definitely worth it! To top it off, they gave us a complimentary strawberry shortcake after our meal to celebrate our anniversary, such a sweet gesture. Walking into this restaurant you're immediately taken aback by the views. They're gorgeous! Kyle was an exceptional server. He had suggestions for every subject on the menu including wine. We were a party of 7. Kids ordered Mac and cheese which was penne pasta with creamy cheese. I ordered the fish tacos, but the only flavor I could really taste were the corn tortillas. My husband ordered the poke stack. Others ordered the steak salad, burger, French dip and tuna melt. I highly recommend the tuna melt or the steak salad. Took my wife to C-Level on Harbor Island for her birthday. Right on the water with dreamy harbor views and a chill, romantic vibe. The kind of place that makes you go, "Yeah... we fancy now!" We kicked things off with the Ahi, crab & avocado Stack and honestly, it was super fresh, sweet and tangy with that papaya-mango salsa, plus those crunchy taro chips! Then came the Steamed mussel pot; mussels, creamy broth, chorizo, and grilled ciabatta to soak it all up! Broth was so flavorful! The Missus ordered the Healthy Skirts on Fire Salad- the meat tender, and it was loaded with goodies like blue cheese, pepitas, fresh veggies, and had a nice kick from the vinaigrette. I had the Lobster Mac n' Cheese, and no regrets there. Creamy, cheesy, lobstery (a word?) perfection. They went on to claim there's a dinner salad that was 28 dollar and it was a big mistake. I'm not buying it and will not be returning to this establishment. I've had C Level bookmarked on Yelp for literal years. This has been the number one restaurant from way back when that I'd always wanted to try in San Diego. For my birthday weekend my friend and I finally made it and it did not disappoint. If you want a stunning waterfront restaurant with lovely service and delicious food this spot is a MUST when you are in San Diego. C Level also called Island Prime is a lunch and dinner restaurant located right on the harbor. It's truly stunning and actually pretty secluded. Near this restaurant there are only two other small waterfront restaurants and a walkway to see the water. Thankfully GPS got us right here. We came on a Sunday but we were smart to come for an early lunch. There was plenty of free parking since we beat the crowds and with a reservation we were seated right away. My pro tip is come for an early lunch as you won't have to wait and you'll get a better chance of getting a waterfront table. Our table was lovely, beautiful views of the harbor and the skylines of San Diego off in the distance. The covered patio was nice as it provided shade but we had amazing views and could hear the sounds of the water. You really couldn't have a better outdoor brunch atmosphere. I love a restaurant where the service and food lives up to the ambiance and location. Here everything was great. The staff were super nice all around. First, we got here almost 30 minutes earlier than our reservation but since it was early they literally gave us no fuss. They sat us right away and made it no big deal. Then the gentlemen who waited on us was very attentive and friendly. Super on top of it and even brought us out complimentary desserts when my friend mentioned that we were in town celebrating our birthdays. Service was 5/5. The cocktail menu had a good variety of options. My friend was happy with a simple IPA local beer and I opted for a cocktail that tasted like a guava mojito. Presentation was cute enough and the flavors were good and refreshing. The food here was really good and sealed the deal on thus being a 5/5 on yelp. I started with the oysters and they were delicious. Great ice presentation and just super fresh and tasty. A great starter. I had the fried fish and chips. Normally a prefer beer batter but the panko was a nice touch. It's a heavy meal with the added fries and hush puppies so probably better it wasn't beer battered. A lot of fried food so maybe next time I'd opt the fries out for something else but it was good. The hush puppies were to die for and I love any menu that has them. My friend had their salmon poke bowl and it was huge. Super fresh and tasty she reported back. We really liked our food and for a waterfront restaurant the prices were pretty standard. Not cheap but also not overpriced, appropriately priced menu here. C Level was a treat and I'm so happy I finally got to experience this spot. By the time we were leaving there was a longer line of people checking in so definitely come early if you want to ensure you get a table on the water and make a reservation in advance. I went here for restaurant week and I was only impressed with the view. The service was kind, but spotty. We had to flag people a lot to get more drinks. Ahh the 2 star? Well, the food. The server recommended the lobster bisque and the "lobster" mac and cheese. I'm familiar with many types of lobster but in my mind, the "lobster" was eerily similar to "imitation crab." And tasted not good and powdery. I had the lobster bisque which had a small amount of lobster that I could taste. The lobster mac seemed to have a lot of imitation crab. I can't confirm since it wasn't listed on the menu but I would take issue if I was allergic to fish and not shellfish. It's a little misleading. Again, it was hard to tell but I was pretty sure substitutes were made for cost savings. Another aspect is that the restaurant week dessert option was much much smaller. Overall, you come here for the view. Was not impressed but anything else. For the prices, food quality, and service, I would go elsewhere. read more

My favorite part of the dish was the broccoli because everything else lacked flavor. My mother ordered the seafood pasta. I never had pasta that tasted like nothing before. My father had the tuna & salmon bowl and it was just odd. It may be because we are Japanese and aren't used to poke bowls with fruits. It still lacked seasoning and wished there was extra soy sauce. The lobster mac & cheese my brother ordered was okay. They were pretty generous with the amount of lobster. You do get tired of the flavor fast tho. When the cost to make your product increases you raise the price. As prices increase over the next decade will the service charge just keep increasing endlessly? 50% service charge in 2035? Just raise your prices, be transparent. This place left me with a bad taste in my mouth because you end up feeling a little bamboozled. read more

Our server was quite solicitous, but as we were there for the Valentine's prix fixe menu, he was incredibly busy. Still, he came by for some chatting, got us drinks when we needed refills, and gave us a good dessert recommendation. C-Level is where you go for a view. Again, it was Valentine's Day, so the sound was kind of a dull roar. We were really close to a heat lamp, so it was quite toasty. What was a bit of a downer was we were seated a little far away from the view to get the nice couple's selfie with the harbor in the background. Came to C Level for lunch right from the airport on our visit to San Diego. We didn't necessarily know what to expect, but we wanted a view and boy, did we get one! We sat next to the windows inside and had the most beautiful view of the water and the city skyline. It was so cool to see the boats passing by and the ship coming toward the military base. We sat for awhile and chatted before we placed our order. The server was attentive and kind, even though we weren't ready half the time they came over. I ordered a margarita and my husband ordered a bloody Mary with a shrimp. I had a sip of his bloody Mary and was jealous that I didn't order it. It was absolutely delicious. After my margarita, I ended up ordering a bloody Mary as well. For lunch, I ordered the chicken sandwich. It was delicious. AND HUGE. I didn't end up finishing it but brought it to go and it was even better heated up later. Overall, great experience here. I was a little taken aback by the cost, but I realize that it was San Diego and on the water, so it wasn't a huge deal. Our server recommended a fried cauliflower dish that was terrible. In general the menu is Mexican, but their take on Mexican is overpriced and underwhelming. We also had the table side guacamole which was done by someone who made it look very mechanical and it tasted very average. Their bar prices are much higher than you'd expect even for the location.
