I was pretty disappointed in our experience, which is a shame because I love Linton Hopkins' restaurants! For one thing, service was painfully slow, even after we said we were on our way to a show and wanted to make sure we actually had time for an appetizer (We ended up being late). For another, some of the food just totally missed. They were out of the cut of steak my husband wanted. He made another choice and ordered it au poive (for a small upcharge). It didn't come with the usual delicious crusting of the promised "3 types of peppercorns" from the menu, just with a little dish of pepper steak sauce on the side. My pork chop was super tough, like it was either overcooked or had been sitting under the heat lamps too long. Our friend's short rib, a cut that's usually falling-off-the-bone tender was also really tough. And we were all excited to try the creamed spinach but it was WAY too salty. On the plus side, the space is beautiful and glamorous and we were seated in a banquette, which always feels so old-school and classy to me. The amuse-bouche was a tasty pepper and pimento cheese macaron - yum! Cocktails were fantastic. And the highlight of the whole meal were the oysters, served with fresh horseradish and 3 other sauces, plus buttered saltines that looked to be house-made. Oh, and the rolls that were brought out were amazing too! I wish I'd made a meal from various seafood appetizers instead of gnawing my way through my pork chop. All in all, I regretted spending the considerable money for what was ultimately a disappointing meal. I'll stick to the burgers! read more

Enjoyed a wonderful dining experience for our anniversary. Wonderful steak, delicious appetizers (mushrooms and fried oysters were divine!). The best thing was the incredible service. They made us feel extra special for our 28th anniversary! A bit expensive but worth the experience. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place on a whim walking around The Battery. We opted to sit outside because it was a lovely day out. The host sat us at a two person table with uncomfortable chairs, so our waiter came out telling us we can move because he was watching us from inside. Lol Food: -Pimento Cheese: with pickled celery, carrot sticks, crackers and buttercup pickles (way too sweet) 7/10 -Cedar Point Oysters: we got 3 and they were tiny. Served with sweet cocktail sauce and a odd vinegar sauce 2/10 - Wagyu Flatiron: medium rare and it was overcooked/salty. It had garlic topped on it. Didn't melt in my mouth as you expect wagyu to. It was very chewy like rubber 5/10 Good service can make-up for bad food. Unfortunately, we can't say that for this place. I'm convinced that they're hiring anyone looking for a job. This review is just soley based on the waiter we had. For an "Upscale" ambiance, the service was underwhelming. We never caught our waiter's name, but he was a bit odd from the start. His demeanor was not genuine, and that's something people can pick up on. My boyfriend asked him for a recommendation on his fav steak, and he proceeded to upsell different cuts with no actual explanation. We had different people bring out our food and refill our water, so essentially he didn't do much. It certainly wasn't busy either so I didn't get why he was so offputting. The icing on the cake was the bill process. He brought out the electronic pad (the one you stick your card in). I had cash for tip and my bf let him know that. I was digging through my purse asking my bf how much should we tip, and our waiter just stood there waiting... yea it was very awkward. So he finally walked away, and we left the tip under our napkin so it wouldn't fly away. We sat there for a moment to decide where we were gonna go next since the (hot) sun was still out. He came back almost immediately and told us he wanted to "get things out of our way." I thought he meant the 3 glasses and napkins, he just took the tip out from under the napkin and left without cleaning anything. LOL. So unprofessional. If you guys ever get a weird vibe from the staff, save your time and money, and just pick the plethora of restaurants around. read more

I don't see how there are any bad reviews about this place. The food is absolutely amazing, honestly one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. My server was very kind and attentive, he made us laugh and made us feel at home. I would suggest this place to anyone and any couple looking for a great date night! If your ding at the Battery Atlanta I highly recommend this place! Every time I dine here the service is great time and the Food is delish and presentation is great! read more

Overpriced and very skimpy. I gave it 3 stars for the atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable staff, and great service, but the food was lacking and a big disappointment. A friend took me here before a Braves game, we sat outside to dine, and we were both very disappointed. I got the lobster roll, which was good, but $24 for ONLY the skimpy roll was ridiculous. My friend got a steak and it was horrible. It was an extremely tough steak for the price, and my friend didn't even finish it because it was so tough. I don't mind paying the prices if it's worth it, but this fell very short. Save yourself some money and choose any other restaurant at the Battery. read more

Tonight was rainy and wet we went here for the full menu after 9pm. Megan was our bartender and killed it with the drinks and service! Adam was right behind her helping and adding to the good times! Extremely slow service...I lost interest in even trying the food after waiting over 2 hours for food (yes we had a reservation). We had to summon the waiter to order our own food after waiting for over an hour for our orders to be taken. Poor customer service read more

We went last night on date night and this restaurant (dining room) did not disappoint. Waiters everywhere, you never had to ask for a thing! The bread that comes out before the meal, is a real treat! Hot & fluffy. Our waiter, Michael let me try several wines before I made a decision, I can be high maintenance when it comes to wine & he didn't mind at all bringing a few samples. The Caesar salad was amazing, great for splitting. We almost never order steak in a restaurant, I like mine medium well & my husband likes his medium rare & they were both cooked to perfection! Mac and cheese was the best!!! Creamed spinach was just ok, it was swimming in sauce. The entire experience was fantastic, the decor is beautiful, lots of orchids & hydrangeas. We will definitely be back! It was fun walking around The Battery after dinner, lots of people out & about. If you haven't been, you should definitely give it a try! read more

A Fantastic addition to the Battery! My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner before the Braves game Friday evening. We went here for our 1 Year Anniversary 9/6/2020. An incredibly special night for us. We had done our research and requested a rounded booth from the photos online. When we arrived we were told "we don't have any rounded booths". First strike. The atmosphere was incredibly loud. I am hard of hearing and made it incredibly difficult to hear my wife 2 feet away from me. Strike two. My wife got the Wagyu Baseball, Medium Well to ensure that it was cooked through. I had to finally grab our server after we found the steak to be Medium Rare and charred to Hell on the outside. They offered to take the steak back and simply recook the piece which they did and offered us a complimentary dessert. Except they forgot her béarnaise sauce which we had to wait 5 more minutes to grab another waiters attention for. Strike 3. Finally, a Bonus strike was that their famous Lobster at MP was not listed anywhere on the menu. All that said, if you want to pay $$$$ prices to eat in a Cafeteria, then C'ellet's is the place for you. PS: Andrew was awesome and this is no reflection on him. It's a shame that the pictures online described such a drastically different atmosphere and menu. I honestly wish I could get my money back.... You only get one 1 Year Anniversary. read more

Order the blackened chicken sandwich!!!! Soooooo good. Love the atmosphere- very upscale, light and airy. The staff is also great. Our waitress was Ashley, and she was very friendly and professional read more

Very poor experience 5-7-18; service confused and not coordinated. Sent back 2 steaks that were either over cooked or under cooked. A real turn off and disappointment. I did not give them a 3rd chance to screw up. Left without eating anything but the salad which was quite good. Will not consider returning. Server was wearing jeans; reminded me of Longhorns where the steak would have been better and not cost $63 with no sides. Chef Hopkins better start paying more attention to this place or it will not last. read more

This place is a gem. The food is great and the high end options at the bar are as good as I've seen. Make sure to get a recommendation from James or Tracy. Food is great, wonderful location, why can't they get the service right??? We've been three time, same story. Servers are slow, inattentive and amateurs. It's like they hired the staff of an Applebee's to serve $75 steaks. read more

I like this place.... Great location in The Battery at Suntrust Park. I sat on the patio but the inside dining area and bar was very open, sleek and modern but classic. The drink menu had a plethora of tequilas and I was very impressed by our server's knowledge. Now, if you read my reviews, then you know I am big on healthy proteins and fresh vegetables. I also want to know if the server KNOWs the menu. Are the kitchen and the wait staff on the same page? I'm glad to say that C. Ellet gets it right. They are in the same restaurant family as Holman & Finch and even offer the H&F burger on the menu. The food: this is a steak house and I tried the Delmonico ribeye medium +. I cut through the steak and was very pleased with the temperature; a perfect line of red in the middle and a perfect sear giving a slight crunch unlocking pure moisture in every bite. OK- Dairy & Gluten free options? You bet! They will modify the menu per request but I opted for simple. I started with a shared 16oz slab of bacon served with a side of house made mint relish and simple roasted whole baby carrots along with my steak. Beautiful. read more

Love that there is a fancy side and a casual side. Makes it possible to have a date night or a family night with baby. The food is great!!! AND as a BONUS they also serve the infamous HOLEMAN AND FINCH BURGER on their menu! Woo hoo! The steaks are reasonably priced and can always get a large one and split it. Can't wait to go back. read more

This was our second visit to C. Ellets Steakhouse and all we can say is "homerun". Your consistency with your customer service, nostalgic ambiance, and impeccable food continues to deliver. Thank you Mr. Carter for adding that special touch to our dining experience. It means alot to be acknowledged and checked on by members of management. We call that "langappe " that extra touch. We have referred many of our friends and family. I highly recommend this first class restaurant which is located in the heart of Truist Park. We tried the burger this time and it's the best hands down!!! read more

While the upscale steak and oyster house is what most people have reviewed here, I will tell you that their $17 burger (huge) with amazing fresh fries (the best!) and a Sweetwater pale ale, while you sit outside on their great patio and watch the Braves game on a big screen right next door is about as good as a night that you could have at the Battery. And the waiters are top-notch. read more

I arrived at 6:45 PM and the restaurant was half empty. The hostess mentioned that they could not seat me at a table since they were expecting many parties. I asked to talk to a manager and she offered to seat me at a table that would open up in about 20 Minutes. If that was the case, why hold so many tables and not sit me right away? I doubt all these empty tables would be full I'm such a short timeframe. Very disappointing. read more

This is my first time visiting this restaurant and it will absolutely be my last. I just today 6/12/19 around 6:30 left this establishment beyond disappointed. Upon arriving I ordered the lobster role per the bartenders suggestion. It wasn't good at all, the lobster was extremely gummy. I spit out the one bite I took. Whom I believe is the floor manager removed it and suggest I try the prime baseball steak that is falsely advertised as *Wagyu* I inquired if it was authentic, knowing better but to see if they would be transparent/authentic, he said "of course, this is a steak house, we know better". The steak arrives, charred, hard to cut, and very rubbery. Took a bite to hope for the best and it was disgusting as well that I literally spit out into the napkin too. When asked for my thoughts, I shared them then asked for my bill. He could see I was very clearly dissatisfied; but no consideration was taken for the extremely poor quality of cut. They did nothing to rectify it. The only decent thing was the Macaroni & Cheese, even it was relatively runny. However, the brought me out a fresh one. Didn't enjoy or eat anything other than the Mac & Cheese. They should have done their due diligence and removed the steak; but I guess that was a stretch as they clearly lack ethics by verbally lying about being "wagyu" for the "Prime Baseball steak" Overall, just a very poor quality experience. read more

Food was awesome. We ate on the casual side before a Braves game. Fried oysters are a must have. I had the steak burger. One of the best I ever had. Good place to eat before a game as you avoid the crowds. That, however, is my biggest criticism. It really is out of place at The Battery. Service will never be fast enough for pregame meals and anything at The Battery starts with the 81 home dates for Braves games. You must be able to serve a quick meal. We had a 5 o'clock reservation so didn't affect us, but sure would if you were trying to eat at 6:30. Also, remember all the parking in the immediate area is reserved on game days. You either need to reserve a spot in the Delta or Orange lots or allow 20 minute walk from one of the satellite lots. read more

Complained about quality of food and was ridiculously accused of harassing the waitress.

I stopped in with a friend of mine and had some oysters a few weeks ago (it was actually before they officially opened, I think). They oysters were amazing and the service and atmosphere were stunning. Today, I decided to come have lunch with friends and, while the service and presentation were flawless, the food was a big miss. I ordered my filet medium and it came out tough and well done. My friend ordered his steak medium rare and his was so overdone he could not even cut it. Many of the sides were so salty, you couldn't taste the food underneath. What a shame. I hope this was just an off day for the kitchen, because I really want to like this place. Chef Linton Hopkins should probably book a table and have dinner here and reconsider some of his kitchen team. read more

I wanted to eat here a few times so I could make an educated review. I was pleased with the experience exactly .5/3 times. Can't give it a full zero because one of the 4 steaks was actually cooked perfectly...the other 3 were BS. If I go to steakhouse I expect my steak to be cooked a perfect medium rare when I ask for it. The first, third, and last steaks were well done. The second was a perfect medium rare. I can't continue to come to a steakhouse with such inconsistent preparations. Additionally, this last time our entire service took 1 hour 45 minutes from start to finish. It took over an hour to get our salads, and another 40 minutes for our steak. Unbelievable. read more

Great atmosphere - really neat location and an impressive place to bring someone, either during the baseball season or not. Very cool to have a bar area, a casual area, and a formal area. Good vibe. Very good service. But food and value just so-so. Our steaks were good, but would be just as good at a place more reasonably priced. Sides were ok - potatoes under done, bread tasted store bought, bar b que shrimp good but tough, crab cake great but served on a bed of oranges? All a little off. Oh, and 4 bucks for the diet cokes was dumb. We don't mind spending, but we'd appreciate not being price gouged. Anyway, it is worth a try due to the location and coolness. But the food needs to get better at least Imho. But see if the other posts are better and then make your own choice. read more

I took some customers to C. Ellet's as they were from out of town and wanted to see the new Battery. We typically do these dinners at Hal's or Bones but decided to give a new restaurant a try. All I can say is wow. I can't tell you how much everyone enjoyed their dinner. The restaurant was completely full but they made us at home at the bar. The service was impeccable, the food incredible, and it was an all-around excellent experience. Everyone said they can't wait to come back to Atlanta so that we can visit this restaurant again. read more

So this is a very high end steakhouse just outside the new Braves stadium. A bit out of place given the environment. Probably a hit in Buckhead. Trying too hard for where they are at. Oyster bar area seemed a bit contrived. Food was decent but not Ruth Chris level. Hope they make it. Bit sterile. read more

I was a little uneasy about making anniversary reservations given the mixed reviews, but C. Ellet's was fantastic. The decor isn't my cup of tea, but the food and service were outstanding. My wife and I shared the la quercia ham, chef's choice oysters, a medium rare porterhouse, beef fat potatoes, and an apple strudel. The steak was cooked to perfection and on par with Kevin Rathbun, Hal's, Chops, etc. You will not be disappointed. read more

Good food but ask the new bar tender James to make you a concoction and you won't regret it.

I want this place to be good! Attention management team: if you don't turn the service around FAST- if it's not already too late- there's no way you will survive. I've been here 3 times over about 6 months and I won't be returning until the reviews improve. I'm always shocked at how a $10 fast food place like ChicFilA can get this right consistently but a "high end" steakhouse misses the mark so tremendously. The food is pretty good. The service is so bad here- each of the three times. I've sat outside and I always end up talking to someone around me on the patio and they are complaining as well about how slow everything is. I get it... it's not fast food... I don't need my meal in 5 minutes. But 45 min plus for a salad and warm potato skins...??? We had one server then he had to get a hostess (I think) to help him... Also, I'm paying $100+ for a bottle of champagne- I don't want to watch you train your staff in how to open the champagne. Worse...it's warm. Thx for bringing the ice bucket out to chill it 15 minutes later. We poured our own glasses until we left and the waiter came out twice while we were pouring and said: "I could have done that for you. Sorry about that." (?) Great location, food is good, service is horrible. read more
