Pros: Location, atmosphere, knowledgeable and talented bartenders, tasty drinks. Cons: We shared the clams and andouille appetizer. Broth and grilled bread were delicious, and the sausage was good, though milder than expected. The problem was the clams - full of grit. Unpleasant to chew. Mentioned it to our server who did not seem concerned. For $50 for 2 drinks and 1 app, would've been nice if he had been. read more

Eh. Over priced. No toilet paper. Food was fine. Wait staff is dumb. Not sure what else to say.

Friday night, 4 Dec. Another great meal, experience and service! The filet, Mac n cheese, and Georgia Artisan salad were fantastic! And we sampled three of the desserts....marvelous! Brian, our server, was awesome along seeing Jason and Kyle again. On this night, we met Andrew Carter, the GM, whom we had a great conversation with. Great leadership and team is appreciated. Definitely recommend C Ellen's! read more

What is going on with this place? I started coming here shortly after it opened and it had great food and really friendly service - pricey but not insane. 2 years later 99% of the staff has changed - multiple times. They can't seem to keep anyone there. Even the managers have changed multiple times. The menu keeps getting more and more expensive (when I first started going a nice steak was about $40, now that's the cheapest one and the most expensive is over $130!!!!!) There is something really wrong with the management here. They can't keep their servers or their managers on staff and they keep jacking up their prices. I used to be a regular and I rarely ever set foot in there now. If I do, it'll only be to say hi to the 1 person I know who still works there. read more

Great food. Nice staff and atmosphere. This isn't a cheap but it's worth every penny!

Good service and cocktails is the only bright spots. I don't mind spending money on food but when you spend $60 on a steak and it's over salted and over cooked...there's simply no excuse for it. The guests with me were equally disappointed read more

Be prepared for an extended visit, but the long dinner gives you plenty of time to savor the food and atmosphere. The drinks are delicious, especially the craft cocktails. The food is good with a Cajun slant. It does take time from one course to the next...patience is advised. read more

Best experience! My wife and I got married last night and we decided to come here for our first dinner as a married couple. Jason was outstanding, he went above and beyond to make sure our experience was exceptional. The food and service were incredible and we will most definitely be back! read more

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST DON'T!!! If I could leave no stars I would. AC out and we still seat people. 45 min wait for cold appetizers before leaving and still not getting them. Heard others complaining and refusing to pay. For the amount of money they expect you to pay I expect better all around. Our waiter tried, which is worth the one star. Management really didn't care as long as you paid your $300+ tab. I've eaten at many steakhouses and paid hundreds and I wouldn't ever want to spend $1 here. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Drinks we did get were horrible. Menu is subpar to say the least and the biggest joke is it's considered one of the top 5 steakhouses in Atlanta. Eat at Wahlburgers down the way you'll get better service and food at this point. read more

This was the worst experience at a restaurant I have had. When I came in the chair was dirty and the waitress act like she didn't want to clean it off. She never told us the menu was a la carte, she asked us about sides like they were included. So when the receipt came everything was separate. We also got charged for refills on sodas when we were never told that refills were not free. She also brought my refill in a smaller glass but charged the same price. On their menu also is listed surf and turf for $24 but the surf nor turf is all inclusive it was for just the steak and the lobster was extra although it's not listed like that on the menu. I'm from out of state and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was a jip. read more

Went here with a business group and they treated us very nicely. Food was good but a tad pricey. Considering we had a large group, the service was excellent. Our cocktails were made exactly to order and we didn't have to wait long for refills. The place is right next door to the new Atlanta Braves baseball stadium so there is that convenience. It's also an easy walk across the walkway-bridge from the convention center. Worth a repeat visit. read more

I will give them that The Battery was packed, but the service was just mediocre. And there is less salt in the Dead Sea. Sadly, we won't return. read more

We had great service but not great food. Apps are limited we had the clam chowder it was ok at best. Followed by salmon it was strange mix of sauce that did not mix well with the fish. I had the 4oz file asked to have it medium they made it medium well, lack of taste and not good. Béarnaise was very bland. We got potato au gratin and it came out under cooked, the broccoli was burnet and the mushroom were not that good. Needles to say over priced and we will not be coming back. read more

This place looks better than it is. We visited on opening day 3/29/18. Apps and drinks were delivered promptly. However, we ordered entrees at the same time and did not receive those after an hour and half. We decided to leave after being told food was on the way multiple times. Disappointing... read more

I went for brunch. It is really nice inside and the live jazz was nice and was a perfect background noise level. I ordered the pancakes, but they aren't typical pancakes. More like dry biscuits. I wish they would change their recipe for that. read more

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars.... please do not waste your time here. Made pre-game reservations for 6:15p. Left at 7:10p after waiting and no food to show for it. When I asked for the check, the "manager" and hostess accused us of refusing to pay for our food! We tried to explain that we would gladly pay for it even if we no longer wanted it after waiting for 45 mins. But, manager made a scene by talking loudly over us in the middle of the dining room. I've never had an experience like that in my life. Appalling!! read more

Great service, food was very tasty. Lovely ambiance. Ask for Jason, he won't disappoint!

We really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at C Ellet's. As many have noted, the dining experience is drawn out, but we weren't in a rush and enjoyed the lovely ambiance. Our amuse was OUTSTANDING - Black peppercorn and pimento cheese macaron. It was the perfect taste of the South. Wine selection was nice. For starters, I had an epic crab cake. If my meal had ended there I would've been content. The hubs selected the delmonico ribeye. The sear and crust were solid but there were grizzly, chewy spots which surprised me, particularly at the price point. I selected the blackened snapper. It was simply so-so. The sides were notable - Brussels, gratinee, and cauliflower. Yum. We concluded with a tasty ice cream sandwich and champagne. Our waiter, Dylan, was awesome. He offered great recommendations and was incredibly friendly and attentive. read more

It was ok. Meat was good enough but sides were disappointing. Drink menu was minimal.

My girlfriend and I did a staycation at the Omni hotel at the battery in Atl. We stumbled across a place for dinner and drinks but unfortunately, our service was horrible so we left. Another guest suggested we try C.Ellet's and so thankful that we did! Our service was unmatched, prompt and professional. The general manager, Andrew Carter is amazing as well as his staff!!! As they say, service starts from the top! He made absolutely sure that our food and service was nothing short of impressive! He sent champagne and and an amazing seafood tower to our table which was so delicious! He truly cares about the service & presentation that's given and knew every single thing about our menu questions and gave great suggestions. Every single staff member worked as a team to make sure that we had everything that we needed. The menu is vast, the restaurant is beautiful, social distancing was taken seriously and it just had a feel good vibe. It's a place that you can have a sexy date, hang out with friends or take your family. My friend and I will definitely make this a place that we frequent... and tell all our friends and family. This restaurant is a gem and will not disappoint! Thanks Andrew, you made our night . read more

Always 10/10. The music selection has changed which has created a completely new upbeat vibe. The new cocktails are amazing. The bartender ,Graham, made the most perfect tequila cocktail I've ever had, make sure to try the Desert Wind!! read more

Went here for a friends birthday and loved it! Very cute restaurant with good food. I ordered a Caesar salad and the fried oysters, both delicious. The birthday girl ordered the flat iron steak with mac&cheese and she loved it! Overall a great dining experience and it's right in the center of The Battery. Would recommend. This place is kinda tricky if you've never been to the battery such as myself. Be sure to park in the red parking deck and it'll lead you to the restaurant. read more

Was looking forward to dining here for a quick bite and cocktail before a date and was told today March 24th at 9:20pm by the hostess that they are no longer seating although they close at 10. She stated that her manager hasn't been seating since 9pm. I work at a very expensive steakhouse and this my friends is a no no if you are open until 10 you should seat until 10 even if you don't care to... please do not show up after 9 to this location :-( read more

Wow that was possibly the worst experience I've ever had for over $100. The service? Miserable. Forgot my water twice, no silverware, 15 min for a drink, my wine glass had multiple lip gloss stains and dried crap on it. The food? So salty. The positives - strip was cooked perfectly and the steak tasted pretty good but that was about 4 bites of the salty mess. The seasoned portions were inedible. The broccolini? Tasted good, once you scraped off the salty mess of a sauce. Don't do it to yourself. Get a good burger down the street. read more

Seated in the rear of the restaurant then ignored. Expect better service from a place that charges upward of $50 for a steak. They missed out on hundreds of dollars. Won't be back and won't recommend. read more

Initial thought "Does anyone work here? Lol, I've never sat so long before at a bar for service." The quality of the food made a difference. This place certainly has its kinks to work out - but if you're in the market for an impressive raw bar, here she is. I'm excited to taste the rest of this menu, not so excited to sit 20+ minutes before being addressed. read more

Very disappointed in restaurant. Wine menu very limited and over-priced. Portions small and over-priced relative to any other comparable restaurant in the Southeast. Seating in restaurant is terrible and extremely tight. Restroom line even when not crowded. Best to pick anywhere else. read more

I reserved a table for 8 for my husband's 60th birthday. It was a BIG Event, to say the least. When we got there, they gave us a weird round table that didn't seat 8! There was a smaller round table right next to us, and we all sort of sat around both of the tables, but it wasn't intimate or good for enjoying dinner as a group. Very disappointed! And when I said something to the hostess, she said something like this is all we have, or you asked for the round table. Yeah, if the round table could seat 8!!!!! Food and drinks were superb, and the waiter was excellent....but the seating sucked and the attitude was poor. I should've asked for a manager, I guess. Our special occasion was not as it should have been read more

Way overpriced for the quality of food. $100 for a Delmonico that wasn't a good cut nor cooked properly. I wasn't even asked how I wanted it prepared. In comparison, I will go to Longhorns next time! read more

After hearing great things from family members that frequent C. Ellet's, we decided to finally try it out for dinner. Atlanta has many great steakhouses with fantastic food and impressive service. This was not the experience at C. Ellet's. After being seated, we waited about 10-12 minutes before we had to go find someone to take our order. A manager came over, who didn't apologize for the long wait and had very little familiarity with the menu, but took our entire order all at once since at this point we were pretty hungry. Our appetizers came out at different times, a glass of wine never appeared, and an item came out that had to be remade. Again, no apology for anything. Since we had placed our order through a manager, I would have expected more follow up during our time there, but that was not the case. The food was good, but the service made it an experience that we won't be repeating. For reference, we had reservations, and the place was at or below half capacity. read more

Absolutely great place with friendly staff! Will definitely be back again. Oysters are to die for

For the money that everything costs you would think that the service would be outstanding. Wrong!! Ordered salads to come out before the entrees and that did not happen. Told waiter we still wanted the salads. Never received the salads. Ordered desert and coffee and was told that they had run out of coffee. Who runs out of coffee? I did find an email address and emailed telling my concerns and said I was contacting them instead of putting a bad review on the internet. I never heard back anything so this is why I am putting in my review here. I would not recommend this resturant to anyone. read more

If I was rating the service and my meal, I would rate this place a 1. I have been wanting to eat here for over a year. Finally had the chance now plan never to return. One person ordered a steak the others steak salads. Every steak was under cooked. All ordered medium all came out rare. This was after waiting 40 minutes for our meal. When we mentioned the wait, we were told that they 'may not appear busy but are'. I'm not sure why the kitchen being busy prevented us from getting water refills. The steak on my salad had a piece of fat through the center that made it impossible to chew. At the end if the meal, when the server came back and offered to box it up I declined and explained I didn't want it because it wasn't good. Her response was oh. If she had bothered to check back, at any time, maybe I could have explained. Very unfortunate experience. I did expect good service due the price point, but that's a gamble wherever you dine. I do not think the ability to prepare a steak the way it is ordered is negotiable. read more

Had dinner there for the first (and last) time on Saturday night. Service was great & the ambiance was lovely. But the food was way over priced. My husbands steak was overcooked and tuff. My hubby and I tried C. Ellet's for the first time the other night. I'm only giving four stars b/c we arrived right when a large group arrived, so there was a bit of a wait. I consider myself a "foodie" and like to try food/wine pairings, so I paired the wild salmon with the Jordan chardonnay. My hubby got the cowboy ribeye, which I tried as well. Everything was deeelish and cooked to our liking. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. read more
