Just had a chance to sit down and finally write this review 2 weeks later! Went with a fun group for brunch on a Sunday afternoon, which was thankfully scheduled on an "off" day for the Braves. Parking was pretty simple. I parked on the first floor of the red deck and apparently it is free for 2 hours during non-game days. When looking for the restaurant, you would go up one level and make a right. The restaurant is tucked right beside some other great eateries like Antico. The bar room is gorgeous and initially the first room you see when walking in. (I didnt realize there were other rooms in the restaurant until halfway through our meal). Very clean and modern looking. In this room they serve brunch and more of the "bar food" services. However, take a moment to go further into the restaurant and look at the main dining room....its SUPER dreamy...and romantical and stuff :) There is also a small outdoor patio area which we looked out into. I decided to try the H&F burger thanks to the suggestions from my new friends so I did. And...I have a "thing" for beer battered onion rings and noticed on a review that they were in a pic, so while they are not "on the menu" you should ask if they are making them that day. And luckily, they were! So...now my mixed review stars...the server we had was pretty great/friendly. However, service was pretty slow...like 1.5 hours in a restaurant that was not crowded (possibly other 6 tables the entire time we were there) for 8 people. So while I personally would give our server 5 stars the pace of the service was lacking. We got our food about 40 minutes after ordering. And...I got a burger and rings... The burger is apparently well known in ATL and there are some other places who serve it...it was...good, but not the best burger I have ever had. I usually dont care for b&b pickles but I will say this burger did not need sauce (and I'm a condiment person). The onion rings....they were...okay....one thing I would highly suggest to them would be to put them in paper and present them so that the oil from the onion rings did not form a pool on the plate...and...well, it did. If it wasn't for the pace of service and the amount of oil on my plate (which I didnt notice until I was halfway through). I would have rated this higher. I would probably come back for a "second chance" but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way. Overall though, definitely mixed feelings. read more

C. Ellet's - On the brunch menu! H&F burger with beer battered o-rings. - Steakhouses Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Stopped in for lunch prior to a concert. We sat at the bar and I'm so happy we did. Our bartender was so awesome (I think I heard someone call him Jeff?) One thing that was odd was that after we were seated, the menus provided were swapped with a more limited menu. What I was going to have, I could no longer have. I'm on a strict diet but decided to cheat for that meal being that everything on the limited menu was prohibited on the diet. We had amazing drinks and the food was delicious. Everything was SO good! One note is that they are big on reservations and only the bar appears to be first come first serve. We were dressed down because of the concert and that made us feel a little uncomfortable since this is a higher end place. All in all it was a great experience. read more

I'm starting to be convinced, there's no good food at the Battery. This place was close to the red deck, offered indoor and outdoor seating, and it's a great view by the window. The hostess was kind, and manager checked in often. The bread roll was good, the BBQ Shrimp was not bad. Everything else was full of regret, I was just misinformed by the waiter about the food items and bad descriptions. Maybe he was new.‍ The banana split had bourbon caramel drizzle that was a great surprise, other than that, a general banana split. My friend and I both got sick leaving the restaurant. We won't be returning. read more

This restaurant was super cute! Upon arrival I was immediately greeted and sat. I ordered the oysters for an appetizer and a Chai Me To The Moon for my drink. The oysters were very good and fresh! If you love chai then you will definitely enjoy the chai infused vodka. For my entree I ordered the Wagyu Top Sirloin with the salted baked potato and the mushrooms. I always order my steak medium, the steak was well done on the outside but the inside was medium, the outside of the steak was tough but the inside was very good. The server was very nice and provided good service. Overall, if I were to go back I would probably just opt for the appetizers. The sides I ordered were good but the toughness on the outside of the steak is not something I am interested in lol! There is plenty of parking since it is located at Truist Park, the closet parking deck is the red parking deck. First 3 hrs of parking is free which is cool. read more

Amazing place. The renovations have nothing on the people. They are amazing. Drew and the staff at the bar are attentive, very gracious and friendly. The good was superb. The oysters. The 10oz filet. The crab cake sandwich. The crab cocktail. All epic. Great bourbon selection. BUT THE SERVICE IS STILL AMAZINGLY BETTER!!!! read more

What exactly do you say when your bartender serves you, "the meaning of life", amidst a pandemic?! I had an amazing experience with each cocktail I had, thanks to James, a man whose served us through the marines and now in the food and beverage industry as an exceptional leader. Thank you for a phenomenal experience! read more

Went to this steakhouse expecting more. Beautiful space in a great location is what you pay for. The food is not high end steakhouse, but the prices are. The specials however looked intriguing and after eating my salad, steak, asparagus, I wish I had tried. Service was wonderful and really made my visit and meal tolerable read more

I typically don't leave midrange reviews and I hate to do this on this one because I truly believe Restaurant Eugene (Chef Linton Hopkins other Restaurant) is by far the number one restaurant in Atlanta. The decor was beautiful in this place and five stars all the way! We had a reservation on Valentines night for 8:45pm and stood at the front door until 9pm waiting on the staff to get out table prepared which was right next to where we were standing. I peeped over at the table and it was ready but no one seemed to focused on getting us to our seats. I had to ask one of the staff members if we could be seated and he said that they finally could. When I'm going to a restaurant of this caliber and paying top dollar to eat I expect everything to be done in a timely fashion and for no steps of service to be missed. My water glass was just about empire on serval occasions as staff members walked by without an urgency to refill. We also had a bottle of expensive wine that once it was poured wasn't refilled once by our server. The bottle and decater was placed on the empty table next to ours and I had to slide over in my seat to to grab the decanter to refill my fiancé's wine and also mine. We also saw pretty much every table in the restaurant with some bread and butter but we didn't have any before or after our appetizers so I finally had to ask for it from 3 different staff members 3 different times before it finally made it to our table slightly before entrees came out. The food here was really good but I personally wasn't too impressed with the Cowboy Steak I had. However, my fiancé had a filet and it was super great! The side of mac and cheese was super basic and looked and tasted like something that was created from picking up same normal pasta at Publix. Oh yeah, one other thing we were sold on was the Foie Gras Terrine by our server and then she had to come back and tell us they were sold out for the evening. I mean, it's Valentines Day so how can you not be overly prepared for your guests on a special night like this? All in all it wasn't a terrible experience but it defiantly wasn't looking like a Linton Hopkins Restaurant on this night. Maybe it's because we were a late reservation but I think it needs to be under control of Mr. Hopkins direct supervision for quite awhile longer until the staff here gets on the same page. This place has great potiential but the slack in service needs to be addressed ASAP before more -3 star reviews happen. I'll be going to check this place out again and I hope to change my review to 5 stars! read more

At a place like this, I would expect nothing less than perfection. And I got it. The bread was freshly baked. Plating was immaculate. The steak tartare ws an excellent rendition of a classic. The bone marrow was a nice accompaniment. The beef rib appetizer was as good as any traditional smokehouse. The steaks were as you would expect AMAZING. I had the delmonico ribeye, flank steak, and pork porterhouse. The standout by far was the flank steak. "Jennay" our server practically gushed over this cut and I'm glad I ordered it. The steaks were well charred, cooked exactly as ordered, and beautifully sliced. But the best thing of all were the sides. At a traditional steakhouse you've got 15 kinds of potato options and then maybe 1-2 vegetables that are just sauteed in garlic. But the sides here were a beautiful display of what is seasonally available at a farmer's market. Tons of vegetables treated with respect. Honestly I'm more excited to try more sides than I am to try more steak. Finished off with two desserts. Hard to say much about them because I can barely remember them. Not to say that they were forgettable desserts (because they were executed well) but I was in such a deep state of the "meat sweats" that it was hard to breathe. read more

We just moved here from Portland, Oregon July 16, 2022. This was our first time here. My wife works just 1 mile from the Braves Stadium. The restaurant to our surprise was literally right next to the stadium. We sat next to the window having a great view of the stadium and Omni Hotel. Excellent location. The atmosphere was very nice, definitely had an upscale feel to it which we like. We had reservations through 'Open Table'. It was very busy for a Tuesday evening when we arrived we waited maybe 5 minutes that's all. The staff was great. Our Host Anna made us feel welcome and checked on us a few times throughout to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Our Server Mattie was a pleasure and throughout she was very attentive. We met the General Manager Patrick who we liked very much. To our surprise he was also from the west coast and had worked at one of our favorite hangouts in Del Mar, Ca where we lived before our 6 1/2 year pit stop in Portland. The food was very good in particular the steaks. The cornmeal crisp gulf fried shrimp appetizer & crab rangoon were very disappointing. These need a complete makeover or eliminate from the menu altogether! The sides of mashed potatoes, green beans, and asparagus were delicious but the plates they come on are not heated so they got cold quickly. One of the trademarks of a fine dining restaurant are white table clothes which were noticeably missing from the tables. Having just plain hard top tables of course took the fine dining feel down a notch. Oh, the Pumpkin cheesecake was very good. It had a mild cheesecake flavor and a mild pumpkin flavor which made this a home run. We would definitely come back here in the future. Ok let's do our DAVLIN rating (0-30 possible) FOOD-25 SERVICE-25 DECOR-25. Thank you all who took care of us last night, we had a great time. read more

My first time at the restaurant in the Battary. Labor Day. Friendly staff. Very attentive without being overbearing. Drink selection was good. Huge portions of entrees. Limited choices for vegetarians. However the offerings were unique and delicious. I didn't feel scammed for being a vegetarian at a steakhouse. Will likely go back soon read more

We were checking out the new spots at the battery and decided to head here for an oyster (or 12) and a drink. Decided we were hungry and opted for a steak, creamed corn and spinach (so basic, right?!) Atmosphere right inside is cool, modern lounge with open seating. Outside is a view of the playing field and splash area where kids run wild so def don't sit outside for romance. The place to be is the main dining area which is designed with beautiful colors and art, nice lighting and seating. That's reservation only per the hostess so def plan to go back for that experience. We enjoyed the food and drinks and plan to head back resi style to the main room asap! read more

If I could give 4.5 stars I would! My family and I have gone 3 times in the past 2.5 weeks. We were completely shook by the food and ambiance! We typically go to little alley or bones for special occasions. The first time was amazing though. We came on a busy holiday weekend and the service was a little slow/behind schedule. We didn't mind though since the food was truly amazing and the server was truly trying their best. The second time was a Monday night after new years. The service, food and ambiance was 10/10 (the restaurant was a lot less busy hence the speedy service)! Our server was kristen and we truly appreciated all the attention to detail she offered through the meal. And we ordered a roasted lobster each. The best we ever had! Which is what brought us back for a third time for more lobster! We came again on a Saturday night and of course the restaurant was busy again. We were sat next to two large parties that were very loud. We specifically requested a table and it took them a few extra minutes to make sure one was available. Our server was very nice though seemed a little overwhelmed and new to the restaurant. Nevertheless, the food was amazing as usual. As new favorite spot! read more

Outstanding upscale steak house nestled in the Battery Park. The service was outstanding. James made several fantastic recommendations - most of which we ordered. We started with the bacon and slaw appetizer along with the sea scallops and grits. Both were fantastic! For our main course, my friend had the dry-aged strip steak and I had the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection! For sides, we had Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese. Everything was amazing. We had a great time! I would highly recommend coming here for your next special occasion. Valintine's Day is next week!!! read more

We had such a wonderful experience, from the great ambiance , fantastic service by Vanessa to the yummy food. Vanessa was attentive and offered great suggestions. The shrimp appetizer was so good, the steaks cooked perfectly and tasted as good as Ruth Chris and I can't forget the Mac n cheese best I've had, then Vanessa suggested the bourbon cake that was a perfect finish to our dinner. We never felt rushed and could easily carry on a conversation. The only caution is that it is quite pricey. read more

It's their soft opening and this place was highly recommended by a friend. Ambience - beautiful decor, I loved the baseball glove leather they've used on the chairs. wish the lights were not so bright and also not a big fan of the metal tables, as they resemble the tables at Chipotle. Food - possibly the best steak I've had in a while, perfect temperature and seasoning. Mac & Cheese was amazing and the chef was really cool to make me some fresh hot sauce! Totally worth the OTP drive, I will go back for drinks, oysters and dessert sometime soon. read more

I am a regular GA visitor and have dined all over the Atlanta / Smyrna area. Based on my experience last Wednesday evening I can say without a doubt I will not return. I should mention - My meal was free. I was a guest of someone who invited me to dinner. I am glad I didn't have to pay for the food or service we had. We ordered a lot! Bottle of wine - fantastic and priced fair. Bacon app - good - not great or worth the price $18? Hush puppies - great! Salad - arrived with my entire meal. Not great tasting. Mushrooms - dry - we didn't eat them. Scalloped potatoes - just ok. Baked potato - so burnt and dry I don't think they sell many and it was a day or two old. Two filets - the flavor was good but both were overcooked. Service was awful. The girl spoke so softly it was hard to hear her, we had a bottle of wine that was poured into a dirty decanter, no one ever refilled our wine glasses or even offered to... We were left to pour our own wine. actually I do recall that at one point towards the end of our meal the server did offer... but only after we had refilled the other times. Overall, I was disappointed and I won't return. Want steak and a formal dining experience. Go somewhere else. read more

Nice ambience! Food and drinks was just ok. Nothing to write home about. We had the flat iron steak which was just ok. Mac n cheese is over rated. Lobster roll was light on the lobster so it was mostly just bread. read more

The food in this location was delicious! Fir appetizers we were served macaroons with cheese and an order bread. This was a great sgart for what was coming. For dinner, my husband and I ate the cowboy rib eye with mac and cheese. It was seasoned to perfection and the mac and cheese was buttery cheesy and creamy . Customer service was outstanding. Emily was always looking after our drinks, plates, and whatever we needed. Our waiter Dillan was such a gentleman. He was very knowledgeable of the menu items. He gave us free champagne for our anniversary. If you have him as a waiter you will be very pleased. The only reason I give this location a 4 star is because there were 2 steaks that we wanted, but they didn't have. It was a little before 7 when we got there, so not sure why they ran out so quickly. Give this restaurant a try! read more

Great spot for good steak before a game. We got their early... 430 for a 730 game so take that into account. Filet was phenom as well as sides.. great prices.. no gauging. A decent selection of drinks. I would go again over most places in the battery. Check out their oysters menu. read more

Very attentive service both at the bar and in the dining room. We were a party of 14 for dinner last night and a bit rowdy as the wine was flowing but they managed us well! We started with the seafood tower which was great but the lobster came out chopped which was odd and not our favorite. We ordered much of the higher end steaks at mostly medium rare to medium. I would say maybe their steak cooking style is Pittsburgh (charred outside and rare/medium rare inside) which is what I happen to love. Some notable sides included mashed potatoes and mac & cheese (to die for). Some of the other sides never made it down to my side of the table - so sad! Dessert was great. Awesome cocktail menu. Looking forward to coming back. Excellent old fashioned at the bar. This was my second time at the restaurant. read more

Service is top notch, showed up w a party of eight and they provided us w 2 tables. NY has to be one of the best cuts I've ever had, seasoning was spot on allowing the meat to shine. Dined here on Wed, 11/10. Sat at the bar with James and the ladies wish that I could remember their names, both began with T). Kyle, the Bar Manager stopped by for a cha. All 4 were very tentative and delivered perfect service. The place was almost at 100% capacity and buzzing. I started off with an Old Fashioned that was made to perfection. Well I remember the most was that they serve their miller highlife in coupe because it is the "champagne of beers" so funny ! So... Disappointing.. My wife and I were going to see Bill Burr at Cobb Energy Center and we wanted to get a good steak close by.. I did a bit of research, found out this place is ran by same family that does H&F Burgers and Restaurant Eugene, and I felt this was a no brainer... We ordered the salads to start, and they were great. Our drinks were also wonderful. I had and Old Fashioned, and my wife had gin cocktail. Very nice.. For our main course, we both ordered the 6oz Filet, which at 55 or so bucks, was pretty pricey. We ordered broccolini and Fingerling potatoes for sides. At first, everything went great, besides an Awkward exchange between our original server, and "Paveon", who basically stole our table from the original. When we arrived, we were asked if we wanted inside or outside seating, we chose outside because it was a beautiful night. Shortly after we were sat, a nice young lady greeted us and told us she'd be right back to help us. Great first impression. But then, a few minutes later, another young man greeted our table and asked us what we'd like to drink... Thinking nothing of it, we started to order our drinks when the first young lady walked up and was like. 'Umm... I had them.. ".. What followed was an awkward exchange and stare down between two servers who were basically fighting over our table.. Ultimately "Paveon" won by not backing down.. and so he served us, but it was weird.. Then we get our steaks.. We'd both ordered Medium. What we got, was very close to well done. At first, we intended to send them back, but Paveon disappeared for almost 15 minutes.. It also took about 24 minutes from the time we ordered to when the steaks showed up.... Way too long.. So.. Because Paveon never checked back in with us - until 15 minutes after we got our food delivered.. We had no time to complain and send them back, so we ate the rubbery, flavorless nearly well done steaks.. At over 50 dollars per steak, we were greatly disappointed.. That's just too much to pay for an improperly prepared steak. Sadly, we won't be going back. read more
