I really appreciated their honesty and found their pricing to be very comparable. They were speedy, very friendly, and cleaned up so that I never knew they were there - except of course for my clean new fascia board. Additionally, I am a real estate agent and have hired GeRoy Construction to handle several handy-man type projects for my clients (again - very thorough, honest, and price competitive.) BEWARE of This Contractor!…read more BEWARE - Before you even think about signing with Tekas Fire & Hood Installations LLC or Miguel Ortega Lopez, do yourself a favor: look up his contractor license history on the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) "Contractor Lookup" tool. You'll see the trail - multiple complaints, lawsuits, and actions that speak for themselves. In my case, I paid him over $22,500 as the first installment for a commercial hood installation. After the permits were approved and everything was ready for him to start, he completely disappeared - no work done, no communication, ignored calls, ignored texts. After talking to other local contractors and the business owners who previously contracted with him, I learned this is not an isolated case. Several people in our area have been burned in the same way - he takes the money, vanishes, and leaves you stranded. If you value your money, your time, and your sanity, stay away. This is not just a bad contractor - this is a serious risk to your project and your business. Do your research before it's too late.

The moment Moses explained that they work directly with insurance companies, I was sold. He came prepared with an incredibly detailed estimate using the same software insurance adjusters use and fought hard on our behalf, from securing two coats of paint when insurance wanted to cover only one, to submitting change orders to bring our electrical up to code. Moses and Helaina were also fantastic design partners. They guided us through every decision, created multiple 3D renderings, and were endlessly patient when we changed our minds (more than once!). They even designed custom shower glass to accommodate our upgraded bench. The crew's workmanship was pristine--and that's saying a lot because I'm very particular. Moses, the owner, brought in a certified structural engineer and identified that the garage hadn't been built to code, which contributed to the damage. They explained the scope of work clearly, including the need to rebuild the front of the garage and the deck above it to resolve both the structural and waterproofing issues. While their estimate wasn't the lowest, they were transparent about pricing and focused on doing the job properly rather than just a quick patch. Mauro, who led the on-site work, was methodical and took real pride in his craftsmanship. The crew stayed focused on our project instead of jumping between jobs, and they communicated well, always checking in about schedules and making sure things worked on our end. The repaired garage looks brand new. More importantly, it's solid and dry even after several rains.
