Met up with a friend for lunch here yesterday and we really enjoyed our time at Buzz & Bites!! First off, this place is SO CUTE! It's bee themed so everything is black and yellow. There's also lots of seating all around the restaurant, even a secret little back room. This place can either be going for a bite to eat or even to bring your laptop and work. I got the Stinger Burger & my friend got the pasta with meat balls. Let me tell you, that burger was delicious!!! I loved the carmalized onions with the aoli. Also the jalapeños were a chefs kiss! So cute and so worth it for the price! We went for my friend's birthday, so we all splurged for a little bit it was worth it! I really liked the bagel and lox and the waffle platter. The waffles were so fluffy and yummy and the bagel was crispy and fresh. I shared both of them with my sister but we both agreed that the bagel and lox was the best. It came with a lot of food as well! The worker was so nice and the food took a while to come out but not too long for us because we had our coffee while we waited. Love the decor and theme of bees and food. Walking in, you'll notice a clean and updated place that invites you to spend a few hours here. Particularly if you got some work to do. It is a walk up counter and the coffee menu is easy to read. Their coffee have many unique flavors and if you want to stick to the basics, they got that for you too. The staff are quick and attentive. Their food is also pretty legit looking. I never really order food in the morning since I'm not exactly hungry but I'll have to eventually try it out. This place has been on my radar for quite a long time and we finally made it today. Okay, so the food is the star here. We started with Strawberry Lemon and Berry Berry Hibiscus teas made with sweet tea. Those helped with our starters where we ordered the Crispy Shrimp (slight background spicy) and Berry Spinach salad (extra vinaigrette). Both were excellent and we'd order again next time. For the main course we both ordered the Rosa Penne Pasta with Jumbo Shrimp which looked good (shrimp, crawfish, mushrooms, garlic cream sauce and marinara sauce). Mr. Picky liked it a lot, but I think I'll try something different next time. The small crostini with it tasted pretty good, not a throwaway. As to dessert, we decided on the Banana Fosters Waffle and Lava cake with ice-cream. The latter needs to be called something else in the menu because there's no lava at all in their version; and there also was no rum flavor on the waffle, just what tasted like plain syrup to me. With tip, I'm guessing the three courses and two teas apiece ran about $120, and for that kind of money I'd prefer actual floor wait service instead of having to stand at the front register to order and pay. Think about it. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Then we ordered the second round of drinks. Followed by another visit to the register to order and pay for the entrees. And then another time for desserts. Not to mention when five of us were trying to fit into the small space; one way to make friends as you bump into each other. This place is amazing! It's a cute coffee shop style restaurant. Not too big but plenty of room. It has been here for 3 years and this is our first time stopping in. We have been missing out! They serve brunch and all day menu items along with their fresh bakery items. There's a happy hour menu as well with wine. I didn't realize they were open until 10 pm on certain days! I got the honey lavender latte and it was amazing. The barista came and delivered our lattes to our table, which was super nice. Placed a to go order at 8:35am Thursday morning. 9:15am and still no food or drinks. I had to cancel my drink order and ask for a refund because the drinks were still in the queue. Management take note - one male employee can not possibly make all your drinks, take orders, answer calls and run to the back to grab food. Came here for a small gather birthday party. They have a big semi private table in the back that was perfect for this. The wait staff was nice and knowledgeable. Gave good recommendations with food and drink pairings as they have a giant menu. Very cool interior with lots of spots to get photos at. They have an arcade in the back area near the bathrooms with every old school game you'd want to play. The only downside is that the food took awhile to arrive and it all showed up for me at the same time. Would have liked apps first followed by the main course a bit later. We came in for brunch. It was medium busy, but they had lots of staff, enough to have someone rolling silverware the entire time we were there. After nearly 10 minutes our server came to take our order. She was unsmiling and generally unpleasant. Our drinks were ok, but our food was not. French toast came out with margarine, some sort of syrup and missing the powdered sugar. When I requested butter they brought out melted something. I was also told they did not have maple syrup as listed on the menu. By now the decidedly limp toast wasn't even warm so I decided to just have coffee. There was no salt or pepper and the server never brought it when we requested it, the omelet was ok, but eggs seemed to be from a carton rather than a shell. Most of the delicious food seen on here for this place were during their brunch hours/brunch menu. We arrived later or on a day that didn't serve brunch (I can't recall which), so we had to stick with the dinner menu. They DO have kid meals, but it is only listed on their brunch menus, so ask for that if you would like to order something for the kids. We really liked the chocolate croissant that we ordered from their pastry display. They grab fresh ones from the back and warm it up for you and bring it to your table if you are dining in. There were three people working in the front and we were the only customers for the first half of our meal. Another family came in after and mostly ordered drinks and appetizers. The service was nice albeit a little bit slow. They worked very hard polishing glass cups and cleaning the front bar area, but made very little eye contact with customers so we had to do things on our own (find where extra napkins and silverware were located since we were not given enough, find a kids menu since it said online that there were some- wanted to see if they were updated or not, and get a refill on the super small glasses of water.) The kids had the chicken strip and fries. I asked if one of the fries could be subbed out with sweet potato fries instead, but our server misunderstood and ordered an extra sweet potato fries for us instead. The fries were ok and overly seasoned. The kids did not like them. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and it was ok, too, but not worth the price point, in my opinion. My husband ordered on of the burgers, but we can't recall which one. It wasn't the best either. The restaurant itself was really cute and set up very well for a brunch location or a place to hang out. There are small tables up front to sit, regular booths to one side, and a longer booth/bench with multiple tables behind the ordering counter that could sit a bunch of smaller groups or one larger group if the tables were pushed together. It was also nice since it was somewhat removed from the rest of the space to allow for more room and privacy. We went in with high expectations and left a bit disappointed. Perhaps the best meals to be had here are during their brunch hours - which might be way the place was so empty when we arrived and when we left. This review is in no way shape, former fashion based on the quality and taste of the food yet the experience. I've been to this place multiple times and while I tell you, the food is very good. Love the drinks, they never disappoint. However, let me tell you what's disappointing about my last visit. My cousin and I arrived around 2:20 PM. We decided to sit outside as it was a really nice day. However, we had to move multiple times because there were two individuals smoking outside and the smoke was disturbing us. Needless to say, someone did come by after a while and ask them not to smoke. The time is now 2:35 PM and no one has come to check on us offer us drinks or take our order. We get the attention of the waitress inside and asked if someone was going to be serving us. Someone comes out shortly after and takes our drink and food order. At approximately 250 PM we are still without drinks and also without our food. About five minutes later our food comes out piping hot very tasty. no complaints there. However, we still do not have drinks. About another 5 to 10 minutes go by and now we are served drinks. Not the best service day.. staff needs to be more aware and attentive to their customers. read more

She wasn't a huge fan of the side salad because she didn't know it had radishes and arugula, but the side of dressing was really good she said. I got the waffle platter. This was some of the best restaurant eggs I've ever had!! The weren't scrambled all the way which I liked, but they still were fluffy and "wet". The bacon was on the thicker side which I also preferred. The sausage patties were regular ole sausage patties. The waffles were soft and warm. They weren't overly sweet but oddly savory. Not pictured were our drinks- a sweetened jasmine tea and nitro cold brew iced coffee. My mother loved the tea and I forgot to ask for my coffee to be sweetened, I did get a caffeine boost from it. The aesthetic of Buzz & Bites is adorable and welcoming. I wish I had been brunching rather than picking up a lunch to take back to the office. The theme is well executed and gives off a polished feeling even though this is a the 2nd location for this local coffee shop. The menu has a great variety, and every sandwich and salad sounded tasty. I chose the Berry Spinach Salad with Chicken and the Raspberry Açaí Lemonade. After ordering I sat at the counter to wait for my to-go order. One of the employees served me a glass of water without me even asking! That was above and beyond in my eyes since I wasn't even dining in. My order was ready promptly and I was in my way. I had intended to eat my salad as soon as I got back to work, but I was pulled away from my lunch for about an hour. I was worried my salad would be soggy, but that was not the case. The dressing was in a separate container to be added at my convenience, and the chicken was still warm and off to the side of the salad. The spinach was still crisp and fresh, and the blueberries still juicy. Oh, and the lemonade hit the spot--not too sweet and not too sour.
