My first visit here. The price was just under $18 for a hot bowl, teriyaki beef - best I've ever had, and a soda. They only have 1 size soda. The beef quality was top notch and vegetables were fresh. The white rice was well rice. Good ambiance. Great for meeting someone for lunch. Super busy from about 1130 am to 115 pm. Only con for me was the staff behind the counter. Even though I told the countet staff it was my first time, they were not very helpful. However, the staff cleaning up amongst the customers were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely return. I eat here literally at least once a week. I would say on average I eat here twice a week. I've never had a truly bad experience. I love the poké here for many reasons. It is the only place in Fresno/Clovis area that I have found that serves so many toppings and sauces and their fish is so fresh and full of flavor. Everything they do there is deliberate and you can tell. The only poke that beats it is authentic Hawaiian poké from hawaii but unfortunately I can't ho to Hawaii on a daily basis. I have such a great experience every time I go. Very rarely do they ever make a mistake on my bowl and any time a mistake occurs they immediately offer to fix it, sometimes offering to restart the bowl over again. The staff is all very kind and most of them recognize me at this point. I also love that they have a patio outside that is not in the area of the general foot traffic. The inside has lovely seating as well. This is my #1 go-to spot. I even like it better than the Fresno location. read more

I also really like the variety of toppings you can get here compared to other places. First time trying Butterfish. I usually go to pokiland instead, but wanted to check this poke place out. Workers are super friendly, though! I think it just wasn't my cup of tea. They had a veggie bowl option. But it just felt like overkill of veggies. The sweet potato or squash in the veggie mix tasted raw, very crunchy. I got half brown rice, half super grain. Everything was so crunchy and cold. I love quinoa and brown rice... but both bases tasted undercooked and very crunchy. Rice and quinoa shouldn't be crunchy or extremely chewy. I tried the curried cauliflower as a topping. It was so sour, it ruined the whole bowl. I had to pick it out of the bowl because I finally realized I can't enjoy it. I don't usually pick things out because I usually eat everything. I really tried. It tasted like a pickled fermented cauliflower, very dill and full of vinegar with no flavor. No taste of curry at all. Kimchi as a topping does not even taste like good kimchi, if you know what kimchi tastes like. Sauces are heavy. How is this healthy? Lol. People think it's healthy but it's drenched in high calorie creamy heavy sauce. My jaw is sore from all the chewing. It's a weird feeling. Why is my jaw sore? Lol. Perhaps I made a bad bowl. It felt more like a salad mix with no salad instead of a poke bowl, but I guess what do I expect for vegetarians? I'm pretty disappointed but maybe it just didn't suit my palate.
