Quality of food is good. Bowls are heavy. I just thought it was crazy my small bowl ($13) looked similar in quantity to bfs FIVE proteins (not sure what size that was but it's the largest one.) Unprofessional young "kids" working the food line that is not familiar with portion and sauce ratios. Quality and customer service has gone down hill in the last 2-3 years. Definitely don't expect a full bowl of food when going. Many choices look like it's from a can such as mandarin oranges, corn, pineapple, and chicken. Pretty standard Poki Place! Pretty typical options for your bowl, typical prices, etc. But they get props and an extra star, because my dad (who isn't the biggest fan of poki) said that his bowl here was the best one he's had. I'm guessing that would have to do with sauces and then the toppings available to him here. I know he asked for fresh jalapeños and said they were really fresh and really spicy!! A pus, but he didn't eat all of them. The few times I have been here, there has not been a line, and I get helped right away. There is plenty of space and lots of tables to sit at. I don't think they have any outside seating though. I like the style of to go bowls and all the options here. Everything seems fresh and kept clean. They have soy sauce, sriracha, etc. You can get to go packets of soy sauce or they have bottles that you can pour some into a little cup or your bowl too. Fresh fish with so many options to add on top. We got the large with containers an extra scoop of protein. They are very accommodating and will make your bowl exactly the way you want it. Covid-19 phase: Thank You Yelp for making it easier! I ordered and paid for it that way. Chose everything I wanted in it. Then I received an email to confirm it along with a time to get it. I went to get it. Workers are masked and masks are required. I walked in and my order wasn't quite ready. Waited. Wasn't greeted. When the order was ready to the worker got my attention and he had me open the bag for it. They were stuck together. After that nothing was said. I opened the bag, he put my food in and I left. First time coming here, decided to go after my work out around 1330 on a Thursday. It's literally adjacent to the gym GB3- Sunnyside. There was only about 3 diners at the time. One lady was ahead of me ordering. The place is an open, clean space. I was greeted as I entered, which is always nice to be acknowledged. I waited a few minutes as there was only 2 workers at this time and the lady before me ordered 3 bowls to go so while one of the works was helping her the other was in the back working on something. I was okay with the wait, the guy helping the lady was kind and polite and apologized for the wait. While he was finishing up the lady's order the other worked decided to help me. I already knew what I wanted since this isn't my first time at a Poki place. I ordered my usual small (2 scoops of protein) I got the tuna and salmon with the spicy mayo. One for workers recommended I get the "1st and 2nd favorite sauce" and I said "No, thanks", but he insisted and he gave me a sample of each. And I was so happy he did. One was the House sauce (#1 favorite) and second was the pineapple ginger explosion. Both was very good and flavor I had to add to add it to my bowl. I was so glad he recommended these 2 flavors, when I come back I will now order these 2 sauces with my spicy mayo. I added as much toppings as my heart desired, guac is extra about $1.50 for a scoop. Overall, I would recommend this place. The workers are friendly, the place is clean, and the price is similar to any poki shops. I loved the fact the the bowl was on the wide side instead of the regular tall bowls like the other poki places because it was easier to see all of the ingredients and easier to mix the bowl. I've been here now and then when I want healthy in a pinch. I do love an ahi tuna salad on the go but I always wonder why I come back. The prices aren't worth the quality of what they offer. Let me be clear, if youre going to sell bowls that average around 12-13 dollars please do not use chicken out of a can! An absolute turn off. I will say their tuna is good, raw and seared(if they're not out). The sauces are great. I don't like like mashed avocado option, would prefer slices but that's personal preference. When I came in last I stood in line and the employees were catching up with the customer at a dead stop. Went here yesterday for a poki bowl. The only nice thing I have to say is they pack their bowls to the brim. However, if you are looking for fish not covered in bacteria, do not go here!!! I have enjoyed raw fish for years on numerous occasions ranging from sushi places to even cheap chinese buffets that cost 10 dollars and have NEVER had an issue with food poisoning from their raw fish. I came here for dinner and got a large bowl with raw salmon, spicy tuna, and scallop. For the first time ever, i get food poisoning from their bowl in a matter of hours after finishing it. I've been extremely nauseated for the last day with bad stomach pains. Which leads me to believe their quality of fish is lower than even a 10 dollar chinese buffet salmon sashimi... Either they are providing a lower grade quality raw fish not even 10 dollar chinese buffets would supply, not storing raw fish at the recommended temperature, or using their raw fish past the expiration date. In terms of taste, I would rate below average to mediocre. Definitely nothing special and not something worth getting severe food poisoning for! For good poki bowls not likely to cause food poisoning, this is obviously not the place! Would rather recommend Butterfish (any location). Not that I ever got food poisoning from Butterfish but more worth it get it there instead of here since at least it tastes good. read more

After gym food and after working out I was really hoping for a more filling dinner. We ordered 2 bowls, a small and a medium, the small comes with 2 scoops of protein and the medium 3. I chose salmon, tuna, and scallops, my girlfriend had tuna and salmon. The variety of sauces were nice and the prices were fair. We both had half white rice and salad, which didn't come with much since most places would mainly load up on rice. For my bowl I tried the sesame chili oil, garlic miso, and soy ginger mayo, the sauces were a good combination. The protein scoops were quite small in comparison to many poke places, I did notice they were a bit bigger, but the salmon was frozen and the tuna had a real strong fishy taste. The scallops tasted like they've been sitting for a while. They have a nice variety of toppings which even includes hot Cheetos and peanuts. There is a charge for masago and avocado, which isn't normal of many places. The taste overall wasn't good or bad, I was mostly hungry and this just was for post workout needs. After asking for a receipt for our purchase, the employees said they could not find our receipt. We paid cash, and they repeatedly told us to tell them what time it went through on our card. ??? We don't have a time stamp, we paid cash. The reason we asked for a receipt was because the cashier gave us back the wrong change. She stated that she gave us the change that the computer told her to give back. They have no signs posted about a cash surcharge added to transactions. The cashier also mentioned that she has a lot of people that question her about that. Again, there is no cash surcharge posted, so why are we the first ones to question this? She called her manager, and after 30 minutes on the phone, she said her manager would call us back. Another employee suggested that they give us the missing change out of the tip jar and just replace it later when they count out the till for the night and are over the $2. Is it about the $2? No. That money (or more probably) would have gone into the tip jar anyway. It was about 2 things: 1. Their inability to provide a receipt showing us exactly what we were charged for and the change that was given, 2. How many other people have had their money taken without their consent? read more

Ordered some Poki for lunch today, 4 bowls total. Our order was made through doordash. For one, a lot of the options they have in store, aren't on Door Dash's app. This isn't where my issue lies. My Door Dasher dropped our order off. Once we sat down, ready to eat, I open the bags, & see green sticky notes on 3 out of 4 bowls. I thought they were just making us aware of which bowl is which. But I was WRONG. The sticky notes were them notifying us that they ALTERED OUR ORDERS. Because "they ran out of" damn near everything we ordered. So you mean to tell me they couldn't CALL us to say "hi, we ran out of this, would you like to add anything else?" Instead they decided for us to do whatever they felt was going to work for our order. My number is on the order, why couldn't they just call us? Overall the food is GREAT! Additions include cucumber, green onion, fried onion topping, cilantro, edamame, fish eggs, but I like the seaweed salad. And toasted sesame. You can also get points and after 10 bowls I think you get a free one. Other proteins include cooked chicken, ahi tuna grilled for an extra charge, and tofu.
