Maria has treated me and anyone I've taken here like family. My ex partner and I would frequent here and always enjoy our custom bowls. They have an array of options From tacos, bowls, pazole, and much more! My mother and I came by for a visit and have had a great time getting to know their friendly staff and how VIVA! Came to life. Will always refer a friend here that's looking to get a bang for their buck because you will leave with left overs! Think a more authentic Mexican food & small scale chipotle (except no skimping to be found) I recently tried one of their protein bowls as a gym girlie, and I'd say it really packs a punch. Always a great experience here. So happy they've extended their hours til 8. Well worth it for a healthy fast option. Plenty of space to sit, and stay awhile.

It's my first time at Viva be bowl'd and I am definitely coming back. Maria was so kind. The staff was amazing. She took her time with my bowl. She made conversation. It felt like I was going home. Everything is delicious fresh well made, and everyone was very thoughtful. I will definitely be going back. I am definitely A Viva Be bowl'd fan. - Esperanza !

Who would've thought that you can find some amazingly tasty and healthy protein bowls in Fresno? Truth be told, this is a major agriculture city with fresh fruits and vegetables that are growing in all of the surrounding areas. This gave me the opportunity to check out "Viva! Be Bowl'd". Located in a large outdoor strip mall and at the intersection of N. Cedar Blvd. and Herndon Ave., this place has been serving up some delicious bowls dating back to late-2019. Since I was passing through town (from Sacramento to Los Angeles), I figure why not fill myself up with a hearty and filling bowl with a nice healthy protein bowl to get me through the evening. I arrived here during the evening of Friday 10/11/2024 at around 6:20pm. Parking can be quite hectic as this area accommodates many different eateries and businesses. I do want to point out that this place is ONLY opened during the week; Monday through Friday from 10:30am-7pm while being closed on weekends. Upon entering, the interior layout is quite spacious as it has a somewhat rectangular shaped setup complete with wooden tables, pub-styled chairs, and laminated brick flooring. You will also see two digital menu boards that display all of the customizable options as well as a fancy paper menu that lists their signature bows, tacos, and salads. I wish more places like this existed as many people are watching their calories, carbs, and sodium. Therefore, I chose the "Create-Your-Own Bowl" (in a small size) priced at a very reasonable $12.99 + tax. As for my base, I went with black beans and Romaine lettuce while choosing grilled chicken for my protein. As for my five toppings, I went with avocados, cilantro, charred corn, edamame beans, and feta cheese. I added onion whisps as my crunch and finished this bowl with creamy cilantro sauce. I will say that a small size of this is very well-proportioned. As for the flavor, this absolutely hit the spot in every way possible. There was an abundance of chicken while they did not skimp on all the other toppings. This filled me up throughout the rest of the evening and until my bedtime (which was around 11:30am). All in all, "Viva! Be Bowl'd" is the real deal and a very pleasant surprise. The employees were all in a very positive and upbeat mood while the entire facility was very clean, open, and inviting. The only downfall is that they are not open on weekends but being a small, family-owned and operated business, I understand that can be a challenge. Plus props for giving their employees weekends off! Great service, delicious food, and very reasonable prices. My rating, a unanimous five stars.

Wow! Maria tempted me a bowl and I bought three! Delicious, fresh and healthy! Maria is wonderful- I'll be back soon!!!

been here a few times now and i can't recommend it enough! it's surrounded by other restaurants and businesses but there's never issues for me finding parking and a good spot to eat, and the service is super quick if you're looking to order and dip! my go-to is the chicken teppanyaki bowl... it's seriously just excellent. filled with tons of toppings and protein, perfectly for lunch and leftovers. i also tried their decently new acai bowls, super solid! not a huge serving but loaded with acai which is always a plus. it's become my favorite workday lunch spot when i feel like treating myself. highly recommend!

This place is incredi-BOWL!!! Considering Chipotle has been skimping on their protein and fillings for a lot of people, this place would never do you dirty like that. Bowls are filled to the brim and they're even better than Chipotle! I've always ordered online so I can't speak on the in-person experience. The online ordering process is super simple. Food is always ready at the estimated time! Though I've never ordered in person... when I do go in, the workers are always so friendly! Super fresh and yummy ingredients that make for great bowls! You can obviously build your own bowl but they have tons of signature bowls! As of late, I've gotten the ceviche bowl - which is great for a filling but light lunch! I've come here multiple times and would definitely come again.

This place hit the spot with filling the belly! Amazing taste and the portion size was enough for two. The service was a bit lacking only because my friends and went for a Sunday lunch and there was only 1 person to fill the orders. The atmosphere was very inviting. Most definitely a must try.

A recent visit here had us waiting a long time for our mains. From ordering to being placed on the table, it took 30-minutes... my wife and I both ordered salads. Our drinks and appetizer came out quickly. We ordered the pistachio crusted calamari which is amazing and is a must order. It comes with their house aioli sauce which is delicious! I ordered the entree sesame shrimp salad and added tri-tip steak. This salad was huge and filled with chopped cabbage, sesame shrimp, cilantro, ginger marinated shrimp, crispy wontons, carrots, peanuts, and miso sesame dressing. Crunchy, filling, and full of flavor, this salad definitely eats like a full meal. To be honest, I didn't need the extra steak, but it was cooked perfectly. My wife's bistro salad was very lackluster; basically just a small side salad. But for $15 we figured she's at least get something a little more substantial. No sweet potatoes, no dried cranberries, and pumpkin seeds. It was literally just lettuce and cheese, see the added pics. She did order a side of steak as well. Pismo's is great spot and they make a mean martini, but they do need a little help with their timing.

This is my first time at a Lazy Dog, so I have a lot to consider!…read more First, the overall ambiance and environment are great! I like the decor and the theme, which I might call "casual country/ranch." The layout is nice, with a prominent bar as the central axis of the "wagon wheel" of seating, and additional seating in lower-level dining areas and on the patio as well. They also have an open kitchen concept, which adds a nice dynamic of watching the chefs at work. The hostess was pleasant and quickly seated me, and the server was right behind her. The server, Eric, who was very efficient in all his work, quickly took my drink order (China Mist iced tea) while I finalized my food order. I had found some intriguing items online while scoping out my plan of attack before arriving here on a road trip stopover, but I found something in the paper menu that changed some of my mind. So, I settled on the original idea of Crispy Deviled Eggs (lightly fried, topped with smoked paprika and bacon candy) and switched to a Grilled 5-Cheese Sandwich (cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella, Jack, on Parmesan sourdough toast), with no side and a chopped wedge salad added (plus $5), "86" the bacon. The food came quickly, and I had to try the eggs first, of course! They were indeed crunchy, and the egg white part (which is the only fried part; the stuffing is placed later) was not too rubbery, as I may have thought, given that it was boiled and then fried. The stuffing was tasty, as well (although not as good as MY homemade eggs! ). The grilled cheese was ooey-gooey, and the cheesy (although I thought I tasted some light garlic?) toasted bread was a nice change, and with the assorted cheeses, those cheese flavors all worked together nicely. And the salad, which I did eat "first" (after an initial egg sampling for official Yelp business!), was fresh and generous, and well-appointed with red onion and blue cheese crumbles. The only complaint, such as it is, is that the salad bowl would not hold still! It was very slippery on the table (it seemed like a porcelain-covered metal), so I had to anchor it with a finger while the fork rummaged through the salad. But a minor hiccup in an otherwise great meal. All the food was great, and I took some home as it was a bit too much for me. I will be back for those other menu items I saw, and I'm glad there are other locations closer to the north, where I live, but how have I not heard of this place?!?!?! A NEW favorite!
