Like every company, there were a few hiccups. They forgot some wire mesh on a small rodent-intrusion repair we did a few months back, and didn't get back out to add it for several weeks. And when we replaced the roof last month, they were a bit late on the first day of work and forgot to alert me. BUT, the thing that makes All Star different from so many other companies is their insistence on apologizing (sincerely), promising to do better, and fixing the problem. Customer service is a serious concern for them. Oh, and did I mention they are a great value? Terry drastically outbid two other companies for the roof replacement last month, and offered a better warranty. We've moved to Dallas, but if they'll make the trip up, we'll definitely be calling Terry about our next roof.

In the process, they ruined the ceiling of my outside patio by using nails that punctured the whole ceiling leaving pock marks all over the surface. To fix the issue caused by Silver Creek roofers, Colten Husband, owner of Silver Creek, had his crew install INTERIOR paneling on my OUTSIDE patio ceiling to cover the nail holes. Interior materials are clearly intended for INSIDE and not OUTSIDE use especially in severe climates like Texas. Naturally, the materials started falling apart quickly after installation. We asked Colten to fix the issue several times and he refused. We have had three contractors come to review the work and all of the gasped at the poor work Silver Creek did to our patio including using interior materials on an outdoor patio as well as the poor installation. Due to Silver Creek's error ruining my patio ceiling, we are forced to fix the damages they caused. Beware of companies that don't stand behind their work.

Roof inspection he did was much longer then inspection from original company and much more thorough and detailed. There not just nails exposed, but improper flashing sealing, missing valleys flashing, silicon improperly applied to the bottom on a valley, etc. Garret prepared comprehensive report, reviewed our contract with original company pointing what was done incorrectly and even advised how to proceed further as we still have warranty from original company. Also want to note that inspection and advice were given free of charge. Definitely if we had known about GK HOMES AND ROOFING earlier we would use it instead. After giving him half down, he came over, took a solar panel down and said he needed to replace it and then never came back or answered our phone calls, and it's been almost six months. Everytime I call, he ignores the call and never bothers to call back, but he has cashed the check we gave him. A family member called him to inquire about new work to see if he was in the business of ghosting everyone. He answered within 10 minutes. When she told him the real reason he was calling he made up an excuse that he was not in his office (he doesn't have an office, check his address on Google maps) and that he would call back the next day. Nothing, completely ghosted. Look for someone else as times are tough right now and people might be hard up for money to start pulling scam deals like this.
