Tex Roofing replaced two roofs for me on rental properties damaged by hail. They had the lowest bid of the three I received. Although the incorrect roofing material was delivered to the house, it was quickly rectified by the project manager. There were several delays due to rain but they finally got the job done. I deducted a star because two weeks later when I had a property inspection done, the inspector sited faulty roof installation where the seams didn't match up. I'm not sure how important this is but when I inquired with Tex Roofing, they offered to make the repairs and said they stand by their five year warranty. read more

I will keep this as short as I can. I scheduled Tex Roofing to come to give me an estimate on my mother's house, on the morning of the appointment I was given a poor excuse as to why they would not be making the appointment without any consideration of my time. I left my review here and the owner did reach out to me. After a better explanation of the problem an apology and an Amazon gift card for my trouble. I agreed to have them come out and give me their estimate, the appointment was set 5 or 6 days out because that was the earliest they could do it. When the Tex Roofing agent arrived at my mother's home (on time) he was in a car and had no ladder gave me he 4 or 5-sentence sales pitch and said he was going to take some pictures. Be also informed me be had ordered a satellite measurement of the house and would get me the dollar figure the next day. At that point, I told him I had it with his company and they had waisted of time twice now. I did call the owner back and expressed my dissatisfaction. I didn't understand why the satellite measurement wasn't ordered when the appointment was set so he could give me a number when he was there. The owner did bet back to me with a number latter that day, which was 3k higher than the next closest bid,After a few more excuses from the owner I came to realize the gift card wasn't for my wasted time but more trying to pay for my silence. read more

After buying my house, I noticed that there was a decent-sized area on the side of the house where it appeared the siding had rotted through. I called Tex Roofing and they came out to take a look. They told me that the siding had been removed and not replaced during a roof repair several years ago. I was expecting the repair to cost several thousand dollars, since it appeared to be wood rot (to me). Since the area is not visible from the front or back of the house, they repaired it with metal flashing. They were quick and on time, and charged less than $400. Let's face it: home contractors can be an independent lot, who sell happiness, and all too often don't make good on whatever you hired them to do. But all of my apprehensions were deflated after hiring Scott Miller and Tex Roofing. Here's why: I had a hail damaged roof that needed a complete tear off and replacement, plus I had three of old rusty turbine units I wanted torn out, and new ridge roofing installed. I solicited about 8 bids to make sure I had enough for comparisons, and to check references. My roof is about 30 squares, and needed an extra 5 for a total of 35. I got Tamko Heritage architectural/dimensional shingles, which were a mid level upgrade. Scott was a professional from the moment we first made phone contact, through his straight forward presentation, and on through the job. His crew were ALL BUSINESS. They showed up and got the job 98% done in a single day, (with only minor cleanup on day 2,) shingles delivered the day before and put on the roof, cleaned up every shard of waste and rubbish, and left me with a beautiful roof. Moreover, Scott's bid wad nearly a $grand below all of his competitors, and this looked like a red flag, so I called him on it. He said that he stays in business by doing good jobs for folks on a consistent basis, without jacking up the price, or trying to gouge either the customer OR the insurance companies. We had the luxury of scheduling the job six weeks out, though he did have openings sooner, that simply didn't fit my schedule--but unlike other larger, more corporate and generally rigid contractors, he fit my schedule to a tee, and didn't say he was booked two months out. He managed to execute the contract down to the letter, and most importantly, without a single phone call in the middle of the job to inject a new headache into the mix. They even managed to take care not to damage any of the tons of my wife's plants that ring the house! The work was done professionally, problem free, headache free, aesthetically pleasing and UNBELIEVABLY HASSLE FREE! If only all home contractors were as straight up in their customer service, we could all ride unicorns. Final comment: Scott's had his company for a decade, and has a 3 page list of references, is a nice guy, and a family man just trying to earn an honest living. Do yourself a favor and get his bid before you sign with any other roof contractor--it'll be well worth it. I can attest. After meeting him and a few phone calls while we were addressing scheduling snd the choice of materials, he was so professional to work with, that he EARNED ENOUGH OF MY TRUST in his character, that I never bothered to call his references. And my instincts in favor of hiring him on trust and faith alone were rewarded by a perfect job, well done without a single complications. I recommend him fully, without reservation. read more

George Varela of Tex Roofing was great for the original quote to install TPO roofing on our roof wells. On top of it, gave us a very detailed quote. It did take them four (4) months to actually complete the work after all the paper work was complete. He has been very difficult to work with in getting warranty work scheduled. We had our roof done in Apr 2015 and received a 5 year warranty on it. We've had some leaks this spring and our tile roofer was out the next day. I started contacting George, and Tex Roofing when George wouldn't answer my emails or calls, in May to come out and at least look at our roof. George finally came out the middle of July to inspect and he determined that they would reseal it and he would get me on the schedule. A month later, I have yet to hear from him and he doesn't reply to my inquiries. My advise, choose someone else. read more

I originally found Tex Roofing on Yelp. I wanted three roof estimates to make sure I knew what I was getting while also receiving the best value. They sent out Joel who was professional, knowledgeable, and on time. By first impression, I thought the price may be high because he started off by giving me a Tex Roofing coffee mug and had some high quality brochures with him. He gave me an estimate printout and some brochures. I did get two other estimates from other company's. I not only went with Tex Roofing because of price but also because of the warranty. They also have their own people instead of subcontractors. The roof looks amazing. I had the pleasure of working with Dan who seemed to be a very down to earth contractor. He worked with me through the entire processes which took less than a week to set up and complete. Dan was very easy to get a hold of and seemed to go above and beyond my expectations. He helped with all information about the roofing process and even threw in a few extras which the other 3 companies wanted to charge $600+ for! I waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes and no one showed up or even gave me the courtesy of a call to say that they were going to be excessively late. This is after I confirmed the appointment the previous business day. I called their office a number of times to confirm that someone was coming, each time to be told that the estimator would call me back immediately, only to finally get a call after leaving saying "I'm running a little bit late". No apology, and he still wasn't even remotely close. When I scheduled the appointment I made it very explicit that I live half an hour away from the properties so a call when he was on the way was especially valuable to me.
