I do enjoy their menu choices which are written on big wooden boards above the open kitchen area. You can order meat, fish, or vegetarian options. You can also build your own bowl of delicious food which I really like. Once you order at the register you will have your food brought to your table (inside and outside seating). They offer good selection of beers if you fancy one with your meal. - BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich: antibiotic-free pork slowly cooked overnight, dill pickles, crispy onions, mustard and housemade barbecue sauce was good. I added fried egg and avocado to it and ordered side dish of roasted squash. The roasted squash was really good and filling. - Chicken and Rib Plate: free-range chicken leg & thigh, 1/4 rack of antibiotic-free pork ribs and any two sides. Wow. If I was the Haun location I would be embarrassed to be associated with this one. They only have 4 indoor tables and 2 of them stayed dirty while we were there. They let us and another woman just sit at filthy tables. We ordered one thing, a kid's meal and it took 30 minutes. I watched in amazement as the completely clueless kitchen staff missed and messed up orders right and left. People they never got their food, incorrect to go orders, etc. Then to add insult to injury after 30 minutes we got the wrong side and our "chicken tenders"' were anything but. 2 "tenders" were just chunks of batter, no chicken in them. This place is dirty and they can't get the orders right, you couldn't pay me to go back. The Haun location is an actual clean restaurant and 10 times better quality. For the price it was a rip off. I got the Thai Chicken Curry bowl and was charged an extra $1.50 for the vegetable, which included only a few pieces. They used to fill the bowls and now it was a little over half full. So, for $17 I could have gotten more food and a better meal somewhere else. i like this location a lot but the baked sweet potatoes were extremely hard and rubbery on my bowl. I believe they were underbaked and burned from high temperatures and short cooking times. they could've been stale or something but sweet potato shouldn't be so tough to eat. read more

Horrible experience ! I brought my son and wife to Bushfire last night. Usually the food is great, we've been here lots of times. The service is usually decent but never great compared to their Del Mar location. However last night neither were acceptable. It was busy roughly half full. But there was nobody in front of me when I walked up to order and yet I stood there 3-4 minutes without even a word that they'll be with me in a moment. Ordered 2 burgers and the Chimichuri tri tip, which we've had lots of times. The food took quite a bit longer than normal, the burgers were way over cooked and overall not good at all and the trip tip was overcooked and dry. The best part of the food was the sweet potato fries. Unfortunately we were starving and ate our meals. It's too bad, now I may not be going there again anytime soon. read more

This used to be one of our favorite places for take-out. Our usual go-to orders included the salmon bowl with a garlic mash base, topped with roasted veggies, and the tri-tip bowl with the same base/topping. It used to be amazing - the salmon portion was generous and always cooked perfectly to medium-rare, base and toppings were also cooked well and generous. But we've noticed on our last three take-out orders that the portions are getting smaller and smaller, sauces have been missing and components are not cooked well. On our most recent order, the salmon was a tiny edge piece, so thin that you couldn't possibly cook it to medium-rare; hence it was dry and overdone. The roasted veggies on top were totally inedible, with practically raw chunks of carrots or sweet potatoes (it was impossible to tell which - they were literally too hard to chew). And the tri-tip portion was also tiny and not flavorful like it used to be. We're so bummed because we had enjoyed Bushfire on a regular basis, but given the recent trend, we've scratched them off our take-out rotation. If I had been writing this a year ago, I'd give them 5 stars. If I were basing this on our most recent experience, they'd get a 1 star. Sadly, I can't even give them a 3 star "ok" rating with the way our orders have been coming out over the last several months. So I'll compromise a bit with a 2 star "could've been better". read more

This location is a bit disappointing, our dish didn't come with the normal dipping sauces for the bread, no chimchuri sauce for the tri-tip, and the peri peri sauce is very spicy. Something is off. I love Bushfire Kitchen and always go to the one in Menifee. We were nearby this location and expecting the same but it is not. Wonder if they have the same standards. The chicken is always good, and so as the tri-tip. What's upsetting is none of the people behind the counter will tell you what's not available. If they said the sauces are not available, then we will go elsewhere. For me, it's incomplete. But they've already been paid and we already had been waiting in hunger. The servers are not in the same pace, some are fast, some are just not feeling it and just talking to each other. They'll make you wait. The place is clean but picking up what customers leave takes a little bit slow. Really disappointing. Temecula location, please be on the same standards as Menifee. I've never experienced service this embarrassing and atrocious. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was inconveniencing them simply by wanting to eat at their establishment. Both the man and woman behind the counter were cold, dismissive, and downright difficult to deal with. I wasn't the only one who noticed -- the woman behind me also faced rude behavior from the staff. I left feeling completely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Steak on the gaucho sandwhich tasted like a literal cigarette like an ashtray where the meat had been charred. They definitely haven't cleaned their grill. Like totally the exact same flavor as a cigarette and the meat was cut so thick it was like id ordered an actual steak and just decided to bite it instead of cut it. The sandwhich wasn't cut in half either so it was even more difficult to eat. The Mac was cold flavorless mush and the veggie empanada tasted like frozen vegetable medley from a hospital. This was my first time ever stepping into Bushfire Kitchen and I will not be back. It was a cold and rainy day and the tables that were not covered were completely wet. Naturally, my party sat down under the heated area while the other half of my party went into order. A lady who worked at Bushfire told me that I had to move because the entire section was reserved for a party arriving in 45 mins, despite there being another group of people NOT part of the reserved party sitting in the same area. My party was at the cash register getting ready to order our food. She told me to find somewhere else to sit despite every other table being wet/ or not next to a heater ( inside was completely full). She did not care to accommodate us in any other way possible, and snarkily remarked " have a nice day." when she noticed my party leaving without ordering. I'm extremely disappointed that this occurred, and I have never been treated by staff at any restaurant in Temecula like this. Given that there are dozens of restaurants in the Temecula area, I would recommend skipping this place solely on the lack of customer service. read more

I've eaten here at this Bushfire Kitchen location in Temecula once before. That was pre-covid days and I dined in. Back then, I remember the service was great, as it still is to this day. Pricing isn't bad at all here, although I do think the empanadas are a bit small for $3.95 each. You'll find this location at the Winchester Marketplace where Trader Joe's is in Temecula. There is ample parking in the lot shared with other businesses. I went in one day wanting to try their empanadas but was disappointed that they didn't have any. A few days ago, I went back in and they had them!! I got one chicken, one beef, and a small side of sweet potatoes. I was a bit saddened by the size of the empanadas, but they were good. They are pretty small compared to other places I've gotten them from. As far as the fillings, they don't stuff them full, but its enough to get a little bit in every bite. The beef came with a little container filled with chimichurri sauce. The chicken came with a basil pesto aioli. Now THAT was the jackpot for me!! Both had a good spice to it, and really brought out the flavor of those empanadas. Sweet potatoes were really good. They were cut into thin small slices and the glaze was delish! I could eat that as a meal all by itself! I like that the food here is always fresh. I've not had a bad experience here and need to come more often since it's just a couple steps away from my gym. Try it out! I highly recommend it if you want a home cooked meal that's also healthy on the go! Remember to wear your masks as we are still living in covid times! read more
