I don't know what happened to the tri tip but it's almost inedible now so chewy it used to be so good what happened

I wanted this place to be good, but right off the service was not friendly or helpful. As first-time guests we asked a few questions as the options were confusing, but were hurried along...the cashier didn't even know about the "toppings" menu or where to find the options....or just didn't want to. The food arrived and the rice was lumpy, cold and overcooked, the "Korean cauliflower" was hard, undercooked and lacked any flavor whatsoever. The thick chunks of tri-tip were dry, not nicely sliced as in the online menus, and tasted like fishy salmon they had cooked on the grill prior to my tri-tip. The only redeeming items were the chimichurri, the roasted squash my husband had on his plate and the soda. We won't be back. read more

Where are the managers? We were regular bushfire customers. But we've had too many poor experiences. The consistency isn't there. Bad management. Little to no attention to customer service. Period. The black haired bartender is a problem for business. Today was our 2nd bad experience with her. 3rd bad experience if you count the fact that she can't make a mojito to save her life. Her attitude is abysmal from someone who works as a bartender and relies on tips. Here's a tip, get another job. Their other bartender is awesome though. Avoid happy hour if the black haired angry looking bartender with bad tattoos there. She's always nasty. The blonde bartender is kind and personable. And makes better drinks. The food is usually ok. Some things are good, some things aren't even edible. The service is the issue. So inconsistent. Where are the managers? Why aren't they walking around the restaurant checking on diners experiences and monitoring the bar and dining room?. I'll tell you. They're playing on their laptops while teenagers and twenty something's make up their customer service policy on the spot. I run a business with a 5 star rating on help. You don't. Never again! It was my first time here and I'm said to say I will not be back. The customer service was not good. I got the tri tip bowl and it was not what I thought it would be. The tri tip was not seasoned, medium rare and tuff. The mash potatoes were ok. The little bit of Mac and cheese was creamy but not worth $6.00. My husband and I spent almost $60 all together and it's not worth it... :( read more

Kayley greeted me friendly, and helped me with my lunch choice, I had the tri-tip bowl with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes and I'm so glad I did. It was delicious and filling. Also, I want to mention the stubborn root beer is made with pure canine sugar not high fructose corn syrup, which is very important to me. I'm not kidding when I tell you it's the best root beer I've ever tasted ever!!! I will definitely come back because the atmosphere here at Menifee lakes is perfect!!! My meal was the only disappointing one I've had at a Bushfire. We've been going to the Temecula location for years and everything is always delicious. The Menifee Bushfire needs some serious re-training in the kitchen on how to prepare certain items so they are up to standard. Our first time eating here was today, 6/11/25 and I ordered the "Garlic lemon chicken pita wrap." First thing I noticed was the pita bread was dry and crumbly so holding it was impossible without it falling apart. Biggest "No-no" was the chicken had no garlic or lemon flavor...at all. This sandwich was crying out for some kind of sauce but sadly there was none. I guess there's a first time for everything and this is the first time I've had boring, tasteless food at Bushfire. We'll be sticking with the Temecula location from now on. read more

Stopped by unexpectedly to try this place since they will be opening one in Riverside soon. The ambiance is pretty neat...i would describe intimate western or barn feel. There was seating inside and outside where there were misters and a bar. There was a nice variation of food. But when we were ordering the cashier couldn't hear us and I layer realized the grill was right behind her. It was frustrating and I wish she would've said something versus asking us to repeat things over and over. The counter set up is also not conducive and didn't allow us to get closer to her. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and loved it. My mom ordered a spinach strawberry salad and she also added chicken, and she ate all of hers as well. We both agreed that the chicken had great flavor and tasted fresh. My husband ordered a bowl with salmon, brown rice and vegetables. Now he's a picky eater and really enjoyed his food. I had a taste of his rice and vegetables - those roasted veggies were delish! Now my only other concern was that my husband needed a spoon to eat his rice because of a disability he has and we were told they didn't have any (strange for a restaurant), but instead was given a plastic to go set which had a spoon in it. Overall, I'm looking forward to trying the location in Riverside when it opens. read more

This location is great! The patio is always a nice, comfortable environment to eat. Food is never disappointing. For all who are gluten free, there are multiple options. Service was good; our waitress, Shekina, was awesome, so sweet and attentive. read more

Dont go on Sundays! I dont write poor reviews lightly. Especially with this establishment. I love going to Bushfire. Just no longer on Sunday's. Food quality is always good. Its service that makes the entire experience horrible. Im not certain who is managing on Sundays but my friend and I stopped in twice this past month and received horrible service. Most of it from one sersver. The first weekend we were over charged and while I was addressing it with the cashier my friend was trying to get her food served We had been waiting over 30 minutes. When the girl finally served it she glared at us then walked over to the outdoor wall and watched the singer and her guitarist. She paid no attention to the crowded outdoor patio. No service without someone asking. And then acting angry that she had to do her job. This past weekend we tried again on a Sunday and there she was. Paying no attention to customers, rather she was on her phone with her back to the patio. This woman is not a good look for this establishment and clearly management is not paying attention. read more

I've had the tri-tip before and the curry chicken bowl and both have been absolutely amazing I always order ahead so I can just run in and pick it up and it's always ready super quickly. I don't ever eat inside but when I run to get my food, it always looks very clean. Trying to eat really healthy and clean and being able to pick this up in a pinch really helps. read more

I'll start with how AMAZING the sweet potato fries are here... The french fries are GREAT too, but my GAWD I could just sit here and eat the SPF's and take a nap in a carb coma and be happy. Everything we've had here is just grubbin' too, but I can definitely say hard pass on the weird chipotle sauce. Plenty of indoor seating and the outside patio is perfect to relax and enjoy the just right warm evenings in Menifee. The parking here sucks if you try to get in real close, so save yourself the headache and park in the main parking lot out towards Ulta/Tilly's/HomeGoods and walk the extra 400'. You place an order and then find a table. I thought it was on the expensive side. However the music was extremely loud even at the outside tables. We asked if they could turn it down and they did not. It took an overly long time to bring our food. Our food was pretty good but not exceptional. As a senior with hearing issues I would not go there again due to the intolerable loudness. read more

My favorite spot in Menifee! With a combination of healthy and unique menu options, Bushfire Kitchen offers an excellent dining experience! They provide generous portions and food loaded with flavor! I generally get the Thai Chicken Curry bowl with sweet potatoes and Brussel Sprouts. The meat and vegetables are well seasoned and tender, complementing each other well. I'm not much of a soda drinker, but I do appreciate their variety of stubborn sodas on tap. They always have a few desserts and some excellent empanadas as well. I'm a foodie and I have to stress the food is not the star, it's the overall experience and effort that they make to bring a smile to your face. The down fall was my stew and mash were cold, burger was VERY dry and the same w empanadas. Lastly the rice... could have been steamed more w a little more water. It's undercooked. So I requested to please give me some hot gravy to make our food palatable and IT changed the entire vibe. As I watched her heat up the gravy in a pan instead of microwave, WOW! Mindful! We usually eat here and have a good experience and eat good food. We order to go this time and the Millionaire BLT was dry and the BBQ sandwich was also dry. My wife tried to call in the order and someone picked up but did not answer and it seemed like someone picked up and just put the phone down on the counter and she could hear everything in the background. She stayed on for a minute thinking they were taking someone's order cause they were busy and that was not the case. When I arrived to place the order, it was not busy at all.
