I didn't realize until I came to write this review that Bushfire Kitchen is a small chain of restaurants. I came with a friend to this Brea location for lunch on a weekday afternoon. It's fast casual dining where you order at the counter, you're given a number, and your food is brought to your table. The folks working here were very pleasant and provided great customer service. I ordered the Millionaire's BLT Sandwich along with a blueberry cream empanada and a housemade lemonade. The empanada was handed to me on a plate immediately after paying and I was given a cup to pour my own lemonade from the nearby dispenser. The interior has quite a few seats and more outside on a covered patio. We decided to sit on the patio and the food was brought to our table several minutes later. While we waited, I tried my blueberry cream empanada, made with some sort of blueberry filling mixed with cream cheese. It was a bit unusual but I liked it. My friend shared a bite of the veggie empanada (spinach, roasted corn, bell peppers, potato, cilantro, onions and pepper-jack cheese; served with a housemade chimichurri sauce). I thought this was okay, made tastier with the uniquely thick chimmichurri sauce. My Millionaire's BLT was pretty good, although the bacon was a bit too spicy for me and my low-tolerance for heat. This sandwich was served in ciabatta bread with sweet and spicy millionaire's bacon, lettuce, tomato and housemade mayo. Although I'd never had it before, I knew Millionaire bacon would be spicy but didn't think it would make my eyes water incessantly throughout the meal. The lemonade was very good. They also have a variety of Stubborn soda options. This was a decent choice for lunch but I'd definitely order a different, less spicy menu item next time.

We came hungry and definitely ordered enough food to get a good feel for the menu. Everything tasted fresh and made with care, which is something we immediately noticed. The Surf & Turf Plate was our favorite. The combination of steak and shrimp was filling without feeling too heavy, and the Garlic Mashed Potatoes were so creamy. The Roasted Brussels Sprouts had great flavor and were a nice balance to the rest of the plate. The Tuscan Chicken Sandwich was another standout. The chicken was juicy, the flavors worked really well together, and the Sweet Potato Fries on the side were addicting. We also tried the Chicken Empanada and Mac and Cheese, both of which were comforting and satisfying. For drinks, the Raspberry Lychee Lemonade was refreshing and unique, and the Bushfire Red Wine Sangria was a great choice if you're looking for something a little more relaxing with your meal. Don't skip dessert either, he chocolate cookie was warm, soft, and disappeared way too quickly. This feels like one of those places where you can find something for everyone. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and plenty of options that go beyond the usual fast-casual experience. Service is great!

Bushfire was more bush than fire. A friend and I came here not at all expecting what we got, it's customizable and the staff are friendly, informative and helpful, so that was nice and the empanadas just calling you alongside the cookie display case. Unfortunately they didn't have any coffee.. which I don't know why I assumed they'd have it given the cookies. There's options for meat eaters and vegans alike with good roasted broccoli/cauliflower and fine rice. The sauce is also fine just fine. I even got to try the blueberry and cream empanada but... sorry, it's too sweet for me and at that point I really wished I had some coffee. Food came out fast and fresh.

Not sure what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised by the food! Easy to order and the staff were all friendly, with plenty of health eating options. Most importantly, the empanadas were delicious. They have happy hour and definitely looking forward to going back to try it out.

Saw the crowd every time we passed by to Brea Mall and finally bring the family to dine. Similar dining style with Panera or Corner Bakery. Plenty of healthy options. Nice modern dining area with Patio seating outside facing the street. Service was great and fast. Friendly. We did comment about the overcooked meat and the management responded in few days! That is a five stars customer service!! Food taste and portion is not bad at all. Typical quick dining and plating. Side dishes and some combo price are on the high side. Like a fine dining. Sides Sweet Potato Fries for $5.50? Good dining options in the area.

3.5 STARS I was looking forward to giving Bushfire Kitchen a try especially because they market themselves as serving "high-quality, fresh and locally sourced fruit and vegetables" so we decided to order delivery via UberEats. Unfortunately, for $60 total, the portion size felt pretty small. I'm not sure if it's because we got delivery, or if the portion size would have been different had we ordered in-restaurant). We got the Grilled Chicken Bowl, Salmon Bowl, and a Quinoa and Power Greens Salad. The meat of the Chicken Bowl and Salmon Bowl were a bit too salty for me personally, but overall was decent and I wouldn't mind eating it again. I did enjoy the Butternut Squash of the Salmon Bowl! What was most disappointing was the Salad. The portion size was incredibly small and I was bummed to find it was topped with nothing but canned ingredients - mandarin orange segments you get from a can, canned garbanzo beans and canned beets on top a thin layer of greens, with a light sprinkle of quinoa and avocado slices that also were turning color. I was hoping for ingredients that would be fresh and not from a can so definitely felt let down. I can't speak to the service as we didn't dine in, but in passing by the restaurant multiple times, parking always looked ample and plentiful. I really wanted to like Bushfire Kitchen and am always excited to support and try new businesses in the area, but I'm not sure I'll find myself back anytime soon.

The workers were really nice, and there are both indoor and outdoor tables to sit at. You order at the front, then they give you a number and bring the food out to you. It's definitely a healthier style restaurant and I really liked it. Empanadas (beef & chicken): Both were really good, i'd definitely come back for these! Surf and Turf: The sauces that came with it were really good. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the mixed veggies and brussels sprouts were delicious. The steak was a little tough to chew though. Peri Peri Burger: I wish the peri peri flavor was a bit stronger, but overall it was still a decent burger.

They have an allergy checklist that clearly identifies what ingredients are in their food, and they take the extra step to double-check everything to help ensure it is safe for our son. That level of care and communication means so much to our family. It's rare to find a restaurant where we can relax and enjoy a meal without constantly worrying. On top of the excellent service, the food is absolutely delicious! Thank you BushFire for creating a place where families with food allergies can feel welcomed and taken care of. Ordered delivery through DoorDash on a Friday evening. The food arrived fast enough but the to-go box wasn't very secured and the sauce spilled a bit. The food was absolutely delicious in big portions. We had Peri peri chicken with cauliflower and mashed potatoes, Nashville spicy grilled chicken sandwich and lemon cooler cookie. I was surprised at how yummy everything was. They have great gluten free options and they use quality beef and chicken as well! We will definitely order deliveries from here again!

I've been seeing rave reviews for Bushfire so I decided to check them out. Orders are placed at the counter and delivered to your table when they're ready. The staff is professional and efficient but not particularly welcoming. There is ample inside seating which is nicely arranged. There's also a very nice covered patio for outside seating. The food smells amazing as you walk into the restaurant! They offer a nice selection of bowls, salads, sandwiches, and sides. They also have a couple of small cases on the counter loaded with empanadas and desserts. Today I ordered the chicken empanada, their seasonal guava cream empanada, and a side of sweet potato fries. I've been on an empanada binge lately and I was particularly excited to try theirs. The chicken empanada was decent, but nothing really stood out about it. The guava cream one was delicious! I'd definitely get this one again! The sweet potato fries came with a peri peri mayo dipping sauce, which was a nice change from typical sauces. There were a couple of sandwiches that sounded good that I'm looking forward to trying next time.

New day, new bowl. Today we ate here in person. I ordered the superfood bowl which was delicious! Better than the last bowl I had, and also a very generous portion, it was quite filling and I couldn't even finish it all. I also tried the guava and cheese empanada, very tasty, in fact I shared it with my husband and then regretted it lol because I could've eaten the whole thing! We sat out in the patio which is nice, partially covered and has heaters and fans. Customer service was great, the staff were nice and pleasant to interact with. Overall a great experience.

So excited to have this new restaurant in Brea! The food and drinks are really good, I'm obsessed with their fall pumpkin empanada. The customer service is also outstanding, Stephanie and the redheaded girl, didn't get her name, are super nice, helpful, and accommodating. They have an outdoor patio that's nice to stay outside and enjoy the vibes. Can't wait to add this new restaurant to my regular rotation. I was so excited to try this place tonite but ended up being so disappointed and that we wont be coming back. I don't know how this place has 5 stars. My dad got the bbq tri tip sandwich. The meat was so tough he couldn't eat it which he returned hopefully for a refund. My son got a double cheese burger medium and it was well done. His fries were ok nothing special. I got a cheese burger with bacon and avocado with a side of mac n cheese. The side of mac & cheese was $5.50 and it definitely was not worth the portion that I got.. the burger was burnt. my bill came to $91 go to finny's and get a much better burger, and they never disappoint. It's so frustrating when you pay a lot of money for terrible food. I can't imagine this place making it for as much as they charge you. read more

While I wasn't expecting gourmet dining, this was less than great. Had the surf and turf combo. Butternut squash seemed steamed more than roasted. Salmon was just ok. Tri tip was overcooked (might have been better if it was sliced correctly!!!). Service was great and the place seemed clean. Not sure why all the great ratings. Honestly tried this place a month ago, I wasn't too impressed by the food here. It felt very bland and lacking for the price. I got chicken teriyaki, which wasn't good at all. The chicken was dry and the sauce was watery. The service was good and the staff were friendly in assisting with helping us decide on items since we had never been before. It was quite slow day so overall it was enjoyable to sit inside just not too impressive. The menu is nice sized with a good range of choices but overall just the food was bland and the prices were high. read more

We went to Brushfire Kitchen a few days ago. First time, and I must say we lived it. Food was so amazing and so very healthy. I had the Veggie Burger with an added side of roasted Brussels Sprouts. The Veggie Burger was tasty but the roaster Brussels Sprouts were so very good. Good service, but you do have to walk up to a counter and place your order and they bring it to you. The seating will accommodate a party of 4 comfortably but if you have 6 not sure it would work. I still would go again as there were more dishes I would try! I would score it an 8 out of 10 for lunch. read more

We stopped by Bushfire after our shopping trip at the Brea Mall...and Bushfire did not disappoint. The food is healthy and flavorful..made from scratch. Their Mac and Cheese and fresh cut sweet potatoes are soooooo good. And surprisingly their Thai Chicken Rice Bowl is really authentic especially for the fact that it is not a Thai restaurant. The ambience is clean and cozy. The service was on point. Stori and her staff work really hard and so attentive and friendly. We definitely will dine w/ Bushfire again soon! read more

Good service, friendly staff. I ordered a Burger only no fries or drink and it was $15. Burger was ok but not that big. I probably would have been happy if it were $8 and when paying (to go order) it asked me for a tip at the counter, felt bad not giving a tip but then it would have been an $18 small Burger too expensive. read more

Disappointing. The food feels like an assembly line, not real cooking. The meat is bland. It is clearly pre-boiled or roasted in bulk, left sitting around, and reheated with basic sauce slapped on top. The beef plate is the most expensive option, but the beef was dry, lukewarm, and had a strong gamey smell and flavor. Even the chimichurri was terrible. Instead of a loose, oily herb blend, it was a thick, blended paste. The overall meal prices are decent, but they charge a ridiculous $5+ for a basic, generic empanada you can get anywhere else for $3. It is just basic and plain. I will not go back. read more

We sat for over **20 minutes** without anyone coming to our table--not even to offer water. I eventually had to get up and ask someone to send a server over. What made it even more frustrating was watching other parties who arrived **15-20 minutes after us** receive water immediately and have their orders taken before anyone even acknowledged our table. After finally waiting another 10 minutes to receive our water, we had to track down our server again just to place our food order because no one returned to check on us. By that point, we had been sitting long enough and were more than ready to order. To make matters worse, we ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp about five minutes after placing our entrée order, but it never arrived. After we had already finished our meals, we asked to cancel it, only to be told that our server had never entered the order in the first place. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. It lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. This experience was frustrating enough that I cannot recommend Reunion Kitchen. I initially wanted to believe this was simply an off day or an inexperienced server, but after hearing from two other people I know who described nearly identical experiences, it seems this may be a recurring issue. One thing that left me especially uncomfortable was seeing guests who arrived well after us receive prompt attention while our table was repeatedly overlooked. I can't say why that happened, but it certainly made us question whether we were being treated differently. I sincerely hope the restaurant looks into its service standards and ensures every guest is treated with the same level of respect and attention.

I didn't see the colleague put the fries in his mouth because by then I had to pick up my burger and the window slot doesn't allow me to see their bodies above their shoulder but the worker definitely dug his fingers into the customer's fries while the female worker didn't stop him and she continued to drizzle white sauce onto the fries. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNHYGIENIC for a worker to take a piece from a customer's order to likely consume himself. To be fair, even though I didn't watch long enough to see him put fries in his mouth, the way he put his hands on the fries didn't look like he was putting back fries that may have fallen off the plate onto their plating area, he definitely was trying to pull fries deep in the pile to get one that was drenched in sauce. I hope the owner sees this and trains staff better. I've attached a receipt for the owner to review the footage. Receipt timestamp is an hour behind... Receipt says 5:08 but my visit was 6:08. Beaides that, burger was good and I liked the char of the patty.

It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get tickets for the family and friend's preview night. Any business that invites the community in before officially opening and provides free meals is automatically a positive in my book. As soon as we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. We were provided with suggestions, both of which my husband and I ended up ordering. Everyone was SO helpful, they refilled our drinks and got us napkins and utensils. The decor and vibes were awesome. Very chill, lowkey vibes. The food was spectacular. My husband got the tri-tip plate with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The chimichurri was delicious and the tri-tip was perfection. The Mac and cheese had a kick and was the best comfort food. I got the tri-tip sandwich and just wow! The bread was light, the tri-tip was perfect, the onions were caramelized, and the chimichurri married it all together beautifully. The mashed potatoes were so yummy, I can't resist a good garlic mash. We both had the craft sodas and they were the perfect touch as we enjoyed our meals. For the finally, we enjoyed the most delicious pumpkin pie empanada. I mean pumpkin pie in empanada form... what could be better?!?! It was warm and the whipped cream was the perfect touch. I'm glad it's a seasonal option or else I'd be grabbing one every single day! All in all, Bushfire Kitchen was amazing and we will definitely be back! Just checked out the new Bushfire Kitchen location in Brea and it did not disappoint. The space is clean, modern, and feels like a great spot for a casual meal or drinks with friends. I started with an empanada and it was meaty, flavorful, and satisfying. Perfect little starter. I also tried their house made lemonade which was super refreshing, not overly sweet, and great with the food. The sangria was light and easy to drink, perfect if you want something fruity without it being too heavy. For food, I ordered the En Fuego burger and it definitely lives up to the name. Juicy, bold flavors, and just the right amount of heat. Everything tasted fresh and well put together. I also tried a chocolate chip cookie for dessert and it was warm, soft, and clearly house made. I just visited Bushfire Kitchen in Brea for their grand opening night and ordered the tri-tip bowl with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted squash to-go. The garlic mashed potatoes were the highlight, they were quite delicious. The roasted squash, however, was a bit lacking in flavor and felt a bit underseasoned. I was hoping the tri-tip would be the star of the bowl, but unfortunately, the tri-tip didn't quite meet my expectations. It came out well-done and dry, which was disappointing. Since they did not ask me about how I would like the trip-tip cooked, I made a poor assumption that it would come out with a medium cook, but that definitely was not the case. The chimichurri sauce helped a bit, but overall, the tri-tip was a total dry letdown. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I'd be open to returning to try other dishes. Staff needs some basic customer service training. I ordered a double order of some chicken strips, kids meal. Cashier told me it was 3 strips an order, order comes - its two strips per order. I commented to the server (separate person) i was told there was 3. She said no its 2. I told her again, I was told it was 3 and she kept repeating herself but it supposed to be 2. Good service training would be simply acknowledging the mistake and do something small to correct, not argue with the customer that what they were told was wrong - I already paid for it. Please try the pink sauce. We also ordered the Veal Parmesan, which had a bit of the crispy ends (as the veal was very thin), but still had the factors of a well-cooked dish. I then asked the server (same girl from the front), if she can remake the pancake since it's burned and my kid isn't eating it. She takes the plate away and says yeah we can do that. 5 mins later she comes back and says, the manager said, "that you would have to repurchase another pancake and that we wouldn't remake it" i don't like to make a fuss nor do I usually try to make issues for establishments but I think that a request to remake a kids pancake when the one you initially made was burned is reasonable for me to ask. so when my husband intervened, and spoke with the manager, his reply was, "I don't want to remake the pancake," when my husband asked him why? "I just don't want to. We have plumbing issues and I have the right to refuse service to anyone" The point though is we paid for a service that was not provided adequately. And when a business works on the ground of no ethics and courtesy, I find it fair game to let the public be aware that this is how they run things, letting them deal with the consequences of their actions.
