Last week my garage door opener unit started to show an electronic malfunction for unknown reason. When trying to shutting the door, it doesn't move, but once it does, the motor keeps running causing the door gets pressed against the floor. While, when trying to opening the door, the motor keeps pulling the door which caused it to almost become apart. No obstacles seen at both rails. Could not figure out what's wrong because it can open and shut manually smoothly. Josh came visit and figured out whole things on the spot. He immediately found the cause of the problem was electronics. He replaced the unit with a new one, said it still was under warranty. He only charged the service call fee although I think the labor charge of replacing (uninstall the old and install a new one) and adjusted the tension springs might not have covered by that fee. Besides those, he showed an excellent competency. He's the man I really recommend next time and for the future maintenance! read more

Josh worked with his dad for years, and took over the business. He is a friendly, professional, non-threatening man. Best of all, just from my description of the sounds, he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. Josh arrived with the proper parts. In less than an hour, he had replaced the springs, shown me the broken and worn springs, and gave me an education about garage doors. I made an appointment for Busby to come out to give me an estimate for a driveway gate between the hours of 3 to 5...no show...He called to say he was busy with another job so we resceduled for Friday...,same hour window...no show and no call. , I do not recommend Busby Door with that sort of rude customer service causing me to stay home to wait for a no show. read more

Josh came out to my home on a Monday to at least take a look at my gate and the equipment that I had purchased to see it would be compatible for my large heavy custom gate. Josh determined that my Viking G5 would indeed work for my gate and he scheduled the install for Friday. Josh showed up on time with his employee ready to get to it. The install went perfect except for a missing piece that was missing out of the box josh and his employee quickly got on the phone to see who had the item and found it at a store in seaside within a few minutes. Josh was very honest from the get go about having another job lined up and asked me if it was ok if he returned later that day to finish I said absolutely. I understand jobs and time as I myself am a local business owner as well so I truly understand the responsibility of making sure we attend to all appointments. Josh returned later that day finished up the install and everything came out perfect. His price was much lower than the people who I purchased the equipment from. We called Busby door late Friday afternoon and they quickly responded and said they would be right out. They came as promised, and when some problems arose(faulty part), said they would be back Monday. Instead we were surprised Saturday morning with a phone call saying they would be right out if we were home. The problem was resolved quickly and professionally. We even got a little extra bonus when they fixed another issue we were having. They still charged us the original quote for their services even though it took longer than expected.
