Contacted J&J via Yelp. Quick response and next day availability. Came during window after calling to say they were on the way. Identified the problem (not something I could have figured out...two springs wrapped around each other). Fixed problem within 20 minutes and charged what I was originally quoted. Perfect service! read more

Great service and value. They went above and beyond what was needed. Definitely recommended for any garage door needs.

Don't go anywhere else! Best pricing by far but more importantly trustworthy and responsive. Had another company, highly rated on Yelp come out and give me an estimate to replace a broken spring (installed less than 3 years ago by another highly rated company). I was presented with undersized springs that were very expensive and then presented with larger springs for 1.5x the price of the small springs. J&J came out and replaced the springs in about 15 minutes. Springs were larger, door was balanced, and it was all done for much less with a better warranty. We're fortunate to have companies like J&J still around. read more

5 Stars - Great! I called John after hours on thursday and left a message and honestly, didn't expect to hear back as I didn't from most others I called. John called me back on friday just after 9. I let him know I was getting quotes for a garage door opener replacement. He gave me the quote and was at my house doing the install around 1pm THE SAME DAY! John was easy to work with and stuck to his estimate which is a rare thing these days. So far the new garage door opener is working perfectly. John and his partner were quick, efficient and very helpful. Would definitely hire again when needed. read more

I first contacted J&J Garage Doors about a sudden failure of my old opener. John and Jake responded quickly and installed a new opener that works flawlessly. In the process they rejuvenated by ancient wood garage door to the point that it now opens and closes better and more quietly than it has in the past 40 years. They also responded to my request to add a row of windows at the top, and replaced all the seals around the door. Their work and responsiveness was top-notch in everything they did, and I found their prices very reasonable. I highly recommend them for any garage door issues! read more

I needed assistance installing a new garage door opener. J&J Garage Doors was responsive and punctual, very reasonably priced, and did a great job installing the opener and hauling away the old one. They were extremely accommodating, even when it turned that I would require a rail extension (which I hadn't realized when scheduling), resulting in a reschedule of the job after Jake had already come out. I would highly recommend them for garaged door work. read more

We've had other garage door companies come and it seems they were just making things worst. Called Chamberlain and they recommended J&J Garage Doors. John came right away and voila - our garage door works again! J&J Garage Doors is the company to call if your garage door needs fixing. read more

This company is first class. John and his helper were working on my next door neighbor and went over to ask them if they could take a look at my door from an accident we had with our car. Within 29 mins of asking them to take a look at it the door was fixed and lubed up my opener as well without being asked!! No fuss from the beginning to the end with a positive attitude the whole time. I would recommend this company for any of your garage food needs, you won't go wrong and will be totally satisfied in the end. Thanks John for a job well done! read more

Excellent service! I called at 8am for a broken spring replacement and John said they'd be here around noon, the same day. I was shocked. They arrived early, quickly replaced the broken spring and added a second spring as the large door required two. They added a sturdy mounting bracket for the rail as the original install was inadequate. The straightened the bent door as best as possible and adjusted everything to make it operate like new. I paid a very reasonable price, lower than I had expected. Highly recommended if your garage door is having problems. read more

72 reviews, 5 Stars, local, AND did not ask me for a review? Yes. True. J rolled up and out came the drill to see about some quick adjustments. He took on the job with what I assume the other gentleman (J?) that I doubt others would do. Garage was a tight space and they simply did it. Installed a new system and kept the original door for what I thought an extremely fair price. Exactly what we wanted. No BS and fast. They got to it. So... 6 stars less 1 star for leaving behind some dirt & grime (typical around here for this type of stuff). But that still = 5 stars. It was a less than 2K type of bill and the other quote opened up the convo at 7K. So I happily cleaned up a bit and tipped. Anyway. THANKS. Found you on yelp and keep at it. read more

The tension spring for my oversized garage door failed on a Sunday. As a text message to the first contractor went unanswered, I left a VM for John with J&J Garage Doors. Promptly returning the call, he scheduled service for the following day. Arriving right on time, the tension spring was replaced, four remotes reprogrammed, second garage door opener repaired, doors lubricated, hardware inspected, bolts tightened, and an outdoor keypad installed. In short, a very thorough and professional job, completed in about one hour. The price was very reasonable. As another reviewer noted, "he's the best!" I concur! read more

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE these guys! OMG! I called them telling that I needed the rubber seals replaced under both garage doors (double and single car size) to prevent the rodents from coming in while I was in town (I'm still living in another state). They called the next morning and said they could come out around noon. Not only did they replaced the rubber seals but they also serviced both doors to make sure they were still in good working order. The price they quoted me was $300 less than another person who quoted me the same task; I knew it was an exorbitant amount from the other company. If you want really honest folks who do an excellent job as well as have great personalities, PLEASE hire these folks. I can't say enough good things about them. read more

My son kicked a soccer ball into my garage door window. I called another garage door company who told me that those types of windows were no longer manufactured and that I would need to replace the entire garage door. I called J & J for a second opinion. and John came out for an estimate. He said the window could absolutely be fixed. He matched the glass perfectly and also serviced my squeaky garage door while he was here. John and his team were kind and professional, and their prices were reasonable. Not only was our appointment made immediately, but the parts needed for the repair were on hand and my door is working better than ever!

I called Aaron Garage Doors 1st as they were the top listing. They left a message, say that I was "on their radar" and that they would be calling me back soon. I never heard from them. However, I got an immediate return call from John at J&J. He quoted me over the phone and we set up a date for installation. I wanted the springs to be replaced as well, but John did not have them in stock at the time of installation, so he made a 2nd trip at no additional charge and installed them when they arrived. We love our new opener. Incredibly quiet and with features that were not on our previous unit. I highly recommend J&J. read more

J&J installed a garage door and opener two years ago. They were efficient and knowledgeable in their craftsmanship. Recently when the electric sensors not working, I called, john returned my call. I explained I was able to explain to him I had discovered what the problem was after calling him. John was courteous and responsive to my explanation. He offered to come by after I told him it was working. I highly recommend this small business to whom ever ask for garage door service. Thanks John. read more

John was really easy to work and extremely trustworthy. We thought our garage door needed total replacement, but with his skillful adjusting and a new opener the door works perfectly. Definitely our new go to garage door servicing company! Thanks you! read more

J&J replaced my old, tilt up garage door with a sectional, roll up door and did an superior job. I wish I had a hundred more jobs for them. John even called me later that day to say that he was not satisfied with the workmanship from the factory of a few of the panels and that he had ordered replacements, which he would install free of charge. I hadn't even noticed any flaws, which is a testament to his integrity. I very rarely write reviews, I have never met John before this, and he did not ask me to write this, however, when you find a contractor as excellent as J&J, you have to let it be known! Not only was J&J the most competitive on price (I got 6 quotes for this job), but John was the most communicative, patient, and professional. I ask a lot of questions when I research this kind of things and John was the best all the way through. Thank you, J&J! read more

John and Jake are simply awesome. Great communicator, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Thank you guys - for delivering five stars!

We had a garage door opener so old that parts were no longer available. Called J& J and after some talk about replacing the opener and the type we wanted. The spring on our garage door broke on a Saturday night, so first thing Monday I called J&J due to the ratings on Yelp. I expected to get a voicemail being it was Monday morning. John answered the phone & (apologetically) said he couldn't come by to check it out until that afternoon. I was suprised he could even come on such short notice at all! He showed up at 12:30 that afternoon. Brought the equipment he thought he'd need & had it fixed & working in less than an hour. I highly recommend. read more

Had a problem with my garage door, on occasion, reversing when closing. I had left a voicemail several days earlier before I got a call back. When they did call, it happened I was between a job they were wrapping up and were headed back to their shop. They arrived thirty minutes later, serviced my garage door springs, tracks and rollers. They also saw that some adjustments were not properly made when with the original installation. They also noted that the wrong springs were installed but said the opener could handle that. No effort was made to replace the springs. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. They opened the opener to checkout how the gears were working. They seem to fix the reversal problem for now but said the opener is old and at its limit for adjustments but won't need to be replaced until it stops working but still has "life" left. They were through and the charge for service was a lot less than expected. Highly recommended these folks and will definitely use them again! read more

I had a spring on the top of my garage door break in two. J&J came by and did a quality job in just about 20-25 minutes. For a fair price too. Couldn't actually walk away while watching them work. The speed and precision in which they did the job really showed me how much experience they've got under their belt. Impressive stuff! read more
