Such a cute and small bakery. Unfortunately they were sold out of a lot of pastries around noon on friday. However they had some scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam left. This was a super super delicious pastry. Honestly the best biscuit I've ever had and the ratios were perfect.

Got my ass to Dumbo at 11:45 AM on a Friday after years of wanting to visit this bakery (they have very limited days/hours and I am almost never in the area). I got the following: + Pistachio cake - excellent, so fluffy + Coffee roll cake - good, great crunch + Chocolate chip cookie - the best thing I had - this is the sleeper hit + Hazelnut sable - good + Raspberry cookie - excellent The gentleman at the counter was also super friendly. 5 stars for that chocolate chip cookie alone!!

This is really a hidden gem! The pastries & desserts here are really high quality. They were as good as the ones I have eaten in Japan. I came a bit later (after 1pm) and many things were sold out. I got the scone, sweet potato pie, and coffee roll. They were all so delicious! The scone was nice & savory. Sweet potato pie was so delicious - the sweet potato filling was so heavenly & the crust was flakey. LOOOOVEE the coffee roll very much! It had so much different taste & textures: creamy, crunchy, sweet & savory. Staff was very friendly and nice.

    Delicious mont blanc! Highly recommended

Bought a few pastries & brought it back home to eat. The pastries were far more beautiful than the photos I took - pastries got battered/smushed in the bag. We ordered to try: 1)Mont Blanc, 2) Coffee roll cake, 3) Sweet Potato Pie, 4) some Pear cake, 5) Scone (that had black pepper, scallion & cheddar cheese). Mont Blanc - WOW! Super delicious & had the right amount of sweetness. One of the best Mont Blanc I had in NYC so far. Loved the different textures, especially the bottom part (I think it was a coconut meringue). I would reorder this again! Coffee roll cake - Also another WOW! This cake was so delicious with the right amount of sweetness. You taste the coffee, crunchiness from the nut part & cream. I really enjoyed this item & I would reorder this next time again! Sweet potato pie - Super delicious as well! The sweet potato filling was splendid. The pie crust was also savory & flakey. I also would reorder this! Pear cake - I forgot the name of this but it was like a creamy pear flavored cake. It was super soft, creamy & not too sweet. Scone (black pepper, scallion, cheddar cheese) - Loved this scone very much! Super savory & soft. I also would reorder this! Staff was very nice & friendly. The pastries are high quality. I wish I knew about this place earlier. This place is really a hidden gem!

HIDDEN GEM I discovered this spot on social media and it did not disappoint. Burrow is a tiny Japanese bakery in Brooklyn hidden in an office building. Their store front isn't street facing so you have to enter a building and walk into the lobby to see it, very unassuming. Don't be deterred by their small selection, everything is very good. A couple ahead of us ordered nearly one of everything because they don't come in very often, so that was a good sign! We ended up getting a slice of their seasonal cherry blossom cake, a biscotti, and a hazelnut shortbread cookie. By the time we paid and left, the little shop had filled up with people and new baked goods were being brought out. Seems like they just make stuff throughout the day and put it out as it's ready, seems pretty neat and clearly very fresh! Everything tasted great!

True hidden gem in Brooklyn. They only open from 10am to 2pm on weekdays. When I had an unexpected day-off on Tue, I knew it was a sign to visit Burrow. Their store is located inside a commercial building, so it took me awhile to figure out where the entrance was. *Quiche Forgot what were the fillings... it should be loaded with chicken, bell pepper and spinach. The savory egg custard was incredibly soft and jiggly. The quiche was packed full of bright veggie and herbal flavors. I was disappointed by most of the quiches served in other bakeries, but this one was exceptionally yum. *Gateau Basque Custard My fav pastries out of the three. I thanked myself for picking this simple but divine pastry over other fancy-looking ones. Their tart crust slayed with its flakiness. The almond custard fillings were encased in the buttery dough. Silky, nutty and (most importantly) not too sweet. *Strawberry Pistachio Cake I witnessed the cakes sold out within an hour during my stay at Burrow. Coated with whipped cream and a thin layer of jelly-like strawberry jam. The strawberry mousse was bursted with fresh and naturally sweet flavor. You could clearly distinguish there wasn't much added sugar in this piece. The pistachio sponge cake was fluffy, yet the flavor was bland and overpowered by the strawberry mousse. My Recommendations: Everything Worth Returning ? YES DEFINITELY

It's almost impossible to make it to @burr0w because they have the weirdest hours and only on weekdays! I'm so glad I finally got to visit on Good Friday though. Their pastries are delicious and remind me of both Taiwan and Japan! So authentic. The mocha biscuit and caramel butter cream of the coffee cake was amazing! Matcha cake was great as well!

The pumpkin cake was indeed worth. The Asian grandpa running the bakery was also adorable.

Burrow is recommended by one of our friends who is super picky about pastries. We placed an order on Monday and did curbside pickup at assigned time on Wednesday. There is currently no weekend time slot available for pickup. We had their assorted dessert box with 8 different kinds, Almond croissant and curry granola. Their pastries and desserts are delicate and delicious. Our favorites were the Canele from the box and the almond croissant. The texture of their canele was soft and creamy and the layer was crunchy. The almond croissant was extremely tasty especially after being toasted in the oven. We will definitely visit again and try their other options on the menu.

    Inside

Lovely small cafe hidden behind a bldg lobby, with rotating array of savory and sweet treats, alongside a pretty impressive selection of drinks, including some great Japanese offerings. The buckwheat tea is delicious. The savory food items are more rare, but have been delicious and made with care. The gentleman typically at the front is warm, kind and patient.

Where has this bakery been all my life! Loved the almond croissant so much! I don't know what magic was used, but it tasted like two pastries in one. Had laminated dough, but then also a scone-like topping - mind blown. The muffin was short and adorable...for the muffin top lovers out there (Seinfeld reference, anyone?). The strawberries made the muffin a little wet for my preference, but it tasted good. The chocolate batons came out fresh and piping hot. Loved the invention--kinda like a dessert spring roll (or lumpia)... had chocolate and pastry dough inside? Yum. Would have loved to try everything they had, especially the savory pastries. Hope to come back to try more!

We ordered one strawberry and one strawberry banana crêpe. They were filled with strawberries and bananas, and the outside was drizzled with glorious Nutella, which is a hazelnut chocolate sauce . The texture of the crêpes were absolutely perfect and that was the part I was most craving. I also loved the Nutella part. The banana and strawberry not so much as to me that didn't really have much of a taste, but maybe that was because the rest of it was super flavorful and over powered the fruit. All good and definitely satisfied my crêpe craving, but next time I would stop by to enjoy their desserts in person. The Kunafa looks particularly wonderful and has definitely peaked my curiosity.

Having a dessert spot in the neighborhood that is open late night and is serving flavors of our culture is nothing short of a dream come true. Not so great for my weight loss goals, though haha. Thank you, Moose. I came in here, and the place was absolutely buzzing, with groups of people enjoying their late night desserts- a testament to how much we needed this spot to just open and thrive and exist. I don't personally like cream Kenafa so I haven't really tried anything off their menu yet, but the Dubai chocolate crêpe is really calling out my name, and I am just going to bite the bullet and try it one of these days. I did go in to sample their Dubai chocolate. As a chocoholic, I am on a low-key search for the best Dubai chocolate bar in the city. This bar did not disappoint. The filling to chocolate ratio was perfect. However, I do feel that there is an over balance of crispy kanafa in the filling. I think it could use more pistachio cream and be a little on the runnier side. Can't wait to come back and try that crêpe. Until I am able to make that trip back, do stop in and enjoy a sweet treat in this cute little dessert shop. It's also Palestinian owned so you know you are supporting the right people and the right cause while satisfying that sweet tooth craving. What more could a customer ask for?

Anyway, I was in Brooklyn with my brother to see a concert and had just finished dinner. We had some time before doors opened so we decided to grab a little ice cream before heading over to the venue. Farmacy was steps away - it all seemed like it was meant to be, so off we went. Farmacy aims to capture the nostalgia of an old fashioned soda shop and ice cream parlor. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by aesthetics - the tile, fixtures, and decor totally give off that vibe. There are a few tables to sit as well as a large bar area with stools; I also noticed a few tables set up outside as well. The traffic flow is set up so that you order first and then have it served to you after sitting. Browsing the menu, I noticed they have a selection of ice cream scoops, shakes, egg creams, specialty sodas, hot chocolates, and a large variety of sundae creations. Since we were there for ice cream, we decided to split a sundae -specifically the Sir Twix-a-Lot. This was chunks for shortcake tossed in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream that was coated in a chocolate shell. Overall I thought the sundae was solid - but the combinations of textures weren't my favorite to be honest, mostly with how the shortcake played with the ice cream. It wasn't bad though - the flavors definitely gave the Twix aesthetic. My only other issue with the dish was that because chocolate shell was used, any residue at the bottom was hard so you have to chisel it if you want to savor any last spoonfuls; I guess that comes with the territory. Service was good - everyone was friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there so we had our selection of seats and our ice cream was ready pretty quickly. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried Brooklyn Farmacy out - they have a large selection so I would definitely return when I'm in the area again.

The extra dollar for marshmallow made the chocolate even sweeter, so it was overwhelming and I wouldn't recommend. But. The extra dollar for whipped cream would be nice because the their homemade whipped cream isn't sweet, so it will just thicken up the drink and give you that extra texture oooomph that you'll appreciate. Torino cafe is basically coffee added to any hot chocolate of your choice. That was tasty with dark chocolate. You definitely tasted the coffee and it was less thick than regular hot chocolate (which was on a thinner, sippier side). You can sample ice cream to make your selection.
