I want so badly to love this place, as it's our local burrito shop within 3 minutes away. The food is filling, you get a lot of it for your dollar, but it's a little bland when it comes to seasoning. I haven't tried everything on the menu. My recommendation if you eat here is go with solid seasoned meat, and add chorizo. The same concept as Chipotle but much more authentic. Was assisted by a Spanish speaking staff and loved that they had a spinach tortilla and brown rice as options to make a healthier burrito. I'm from North, New Jersey so the first thing that stood out to me is how great the environment is around the restaurant and inside. If I lived by here, this would be my go-to spot to just hangout and have great authentic Mexican food. I had a Chimichanga and my friend's ordered Burritos and platters. I come here a lot for work lunches and it's always a pleasure. The food is affordable and fresh. I tend to gravitate towards the burrito bowls and scoop it out w chips. It's seems hard to go wrong here. The chipotle chicken and carnitas are seasoned well and delish. That being said I find the guac to be a little too runny and the chorizo to be on the salty side. My husband says I'm being generous giving this place one star. We paid $7.50 for the guacamole fiesta but I don't think there was even a teaspoon of guacamole on the very greasy nacho chips. They have not mastered how to do delivery. I ordered Tacos, fajitas, chimichanga and chips with queso. The chips and queso had already started to turn to mush when I opened the container. It seemed like they added a few pumps of canned nacho cheese over some chips and thought that would stand up to a little steam and some time in a to-go container when if they just bagged the chips and put cheese on the side it would have been a better experience. The chimichanga traveled equally as well when you put a once crisp chimichanga top with cheese next to lettuce tomatoes and salsa you get a similar sloppy mess but at least I could dig deep and get the chicken, black beans and rice which had a good flavor. The tacos would have been better if the meat was kept separate from the shells once again steam was the enemy of crunchy goodness. Went in Sunday night there was one very nice young lady who look like a deer in the headlights. She should've obviously not been alone as there were customers eating in the restaurant, orders being called in and orders being picked up. She was panicking calling multiple people trying to get somebody to come help her. It was just ridiculous and ruined our dinner. I ordered the carnitas tacos for lunch takeout. You get 3 tacos and the portion size was relatively large, however, the meat was pretty wet (no brown crispiness) so by the time I got back to the office the tortillas were soaked through and I needed to eat with a fork. I don't believe they can classify what they serve as "food." Absolutely disgusting. To start, we did take out. We ordered beef tacos, chicken enchilada, and a beef burrito. The girl behind the counter needs to get it together, she was really slow and got our order wrong. We ended up with a beef burrito, chicken tacos, and beef tacos. Now, personally, my main rule of Mexican food is you should never need to eat a taco with a fork! Both tacos were drenched with oil, the taco shell was stale and folded and ripped like a stale soggy sheet of paper. Poorly flavored and the chicken was overcooked, dry, and flavorless. The tomatoes tasted like they had been chopped and thrown in a dirty kitchen sink. The burrito was flavorless and full of oil. Not much actually in the burrito except oil and gross meat, ironic since the name is Burritos. I took two bites, threw all of the tacos out, and we ended up eating a bowl of cereal for dinner. Authentic Local Mexican Food in Downtown Yardley, I love local establishments in my town that offer better than the ordinary Mexican dishes. My wife is a huge fan of Mexican and we rate this place higher than our favorite Mexican chains. Home made salsa are to die for, and everything is included for a fair price! This is like Chipotle but not a chain. The food is fresh and definitely worth a try. They speak Spanish and English. I don't consider a place authentic unless they are speaking in Spanish. I really wanted to find out that this little restaurant in my town was actually good, if not terrific..too bad that wasn't the case. From a country that has some of the world's most intriguing and tasty food - this had to be some of the most tastless, unappealing, bland food I have had in a very, very long time. Authentic? Well Authentic Mexican Tacos that I have had are seved on warm, soft corn tortillas (usually 2 of them)..not on gummy flour tortillas! They usually sprinkle cilantro & onions over your choice of meat & offer you lime slices to squeeze on top & tomatillo sauce to pour over them. Not saying all places do but I have had tacos where they've just sliced & shredded the meats: ex. carnitas fresh as they make the tacos. Truly there was nothing about my tastless shredded porc carnitas that even approached fresh (unless you think of fresh as glopping food on a tortilla while you watch). I for one don't think having containers of food sitting about like a Chinese buffet is to be considered fresh! I asked for 1 of my tacos with chipotle chicken just to try it - horrifying (I'm wondering if they boiled the chicken, shredded it & then sprinkled some cheap spice on it so they could give it a fancy name). And the add ons..well there was the Americanization..certainly not authentic! If I brought my girlfriend from Mexico in & she had seen (let alone tasted) this pile of sides or my tacos, well lets just say my Spanish is good enough that I wouldn't have wanted to hear all of the not nice words she might of said. Authentic..not!! I actually had to stop the fellow who served me (who at least was Latino) from putting guacamole directly on my taco; usually my biggest problem with ordering tacos is stopping the chef from putting diced onions on my tacos. Even the cilantro I asked the fellow to sprinkle on was flavorless, as was the 'green sauce'. Usually tomatillo (green sauce) is flavorful and can be quite spicy depending on who has made it; I couldn't taste anything even though the fellow poured quite a bit over the tacos..just saying - most good or should I say 'Authentic' places give you the salsa on the side & allow you add it on as you feel fit..here the server just glopped it over..and the limes..where were the slices of lime? Authentic - how naive do they think we Gringos y Gringas are? They could have had music playing (be it banda or bachata/ merengue, Mana style rock, etc., etc) but there wasn't even any music playing. For those of you who are so unaquainted with what real-true 'Authentic' Mexican food can & should be, do yourselves a favor & don't base it on this place. Even if you might not have so much experience to know how a taco should be served, I find it a mark of a better than average restaurant if the service cares to gently educate you about how their food should be served..then you can choose to eat it their way or not. Burritos made me feel as if they care nothing more than to pull the wool over your eyes. Burritos has an opportunity of bringing their food & culture into our town and homes and they're missing the opportunity by feeding us this shameful glop! read more

And when competing with pretty bird, the Vault, continental tavern, charcoal, yardley inn, I thought hey; must be decent. I'd rather go to chipotle ANY DAY over this shit hole. I almost got the steak but as I watched him heep it out of the oily grease bin I quickly changed my mind to chicken. (Burrito) Which wasn't much better as it was flavorless, what looked liked frozen, thawed out chicken, from a bottom of the barrel food purveyor and then they quickly boiled it after thawing it with literally zero seasoning. And then dumped it into a prep bin boiled water and all. Honestly horrible. I appreciate small business, and small business owners. I appreciate the struggle, but have some standards. And here's a tip, maybe if you put quality out, your business will increase? idk just a thought. I know I'll never spend another dime there. And nothing upsets me more when I'm trying to grab a protein packed lunch, with minimal sides, and what I get instead is a heaping spoonful of beans and brown rice, and then the skimpiest amount of protein possible, and they still charge you $10. I haven't been living in the area too long, but when i find authentic Mexican food, it is hard to beat. This place is a great little casual restaurant with food that is super fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly and I plan to keep coming back. They are happy to accommodate you, and the salad bar (think Subway or Quiznos) type of ordering station makes it easy to customize and have your tacos or burrito exactly the way you like. First, let me say that I try really, really hard to support local businesses. I eschew most chain restaurants both because small places are usually better, and I want to support local businesses. However, that's the only reason I can give Burrito's two stars. This is the only place I've come across where a taco salad doesn't at least come with nachos or some kind of chip. It's just a salad. With bland, flavorless meat. For $10, it should be good. Even tons of sauce couldn't give it any real flavor. Taco Bell is better at half the price. I hope this place will step up their game.
