Food is always so good and their staff is the sweetest! Love their breakfast burrito and tacos

I ordered lunch today from Burrito Beach, and it was Awful. I am not a picky eater whatsoever. I ordered a chicken burrito, and chips with Queso, and a side of large guacamole. The Chicken burrito was inedible. The taste was fine, but they must not use chicken breast, because out of my 4 bites i took out of the burrito, 3 either had a bone in it, or fatty gristle. The chips were stale, and the guacamole that I was charged 5 dollars for was in a cup the size of a shot glass. It was brown, and did not taste fresh. The queso had zero flavor, but some spice. Flavor, and spice don't work together. You need both to make it work. It was like thick, spicy water. They sent me a few salsas. The red way okay, but I spit out the green. It was rancid. It tasted like garbage smells. I will never order from here again. read more

I love this place! As a traveler, I visit the O'Hare location often. The food is always fresh, and the associates working there are always friendly, professional, and eager to please. Yummy and delicious burritos and tacos! This place got my vote for the best ground beef tacos and chicken tacos. They also have a vegan tacos and yummy sauces. If you are looking for a quick lunch or grab and go type of food, this place one of the best one in town. Don't forget to try their drinks too!They have outdoor seating in case if you are wondering to visit in the summer time. I've had multiple experiences with burritos at the University of Chicago, but my last encounter was beyond frustrating. One employee could not understand my order, even though I spoke loudly and clearly several times. Instead of attempting to understand, she had the nerve to complain about my pronunciation! This is not just poor customer service, it's outright RACISM. If you have an accent, beware--don't expect to be treated with respect or have your order taken seriously. Our hotel was near this spot, and we needed to get something quick before heading off on a river cruise. We were able to eat and get on our way fast, which was good. They had birria for a limited time, so we decided to try that. I got nachos, and my husband got street tacos. They had a lot of good salsas and toppings for the nachos, and the meat was decent, but the cheese sauce wasn't very flavorful and tasted like it might be out of a can. Meh. I would probably choose tacos or a burrito if you eat here. Service was fine, nothing above or beyond. Pepsi products available. Simple set up with social distancing in place. Prices seem typical. We came here on our first night in Chicago because another place was packed and we didn't want to wait a hour to be seated there so we ended up walking around and saw this place. The staff was cleaning up because it was 10 minutes past closing time but they still let us in to order take-out. I haven't eaten Chipotle in a while but I gotta say that this place is a tad different from them and more delicious. I ordered the Beef Brisket rice bowl, this includes grass fed, barbacoa styled beef with brown rice and alot of topping ranging from onions to sauces. And it was about $7. Me at a Burrito Beach? Even when I checked in on Yelp someone thought I had taken a wrong turn given my usual Mexican fare tends to be a little more upscale. And I had some trepidation as I pushed through the door as this didn't look like a place that I was going to like. But I have to say that I was impressed on this visit at the freshness of the food, the wide array of choices and the friendliness of the staff and manager (owner?) I was in the mood for a salad bowl and I saw that they had Mexican quinoa which is also a good source of protein. While the serving size of quinoa was quite small- the other condiments that filled my bowl were quite robust from the mixed greens, to the mixed veggies, to the guacamole with big chunks of avocado, and the spicy salsa this was one tasty bowl of food. And as I went to the condiment bar to get a fork and knife, the manager asked if I had found everything okay and was very friendly and personable. The seats were clean, the price was right and if there had been just a smidge more quinoa, this would have gotten a perfect score. Surprising as I really didn't think I was going to like this place when I walked in the door. Guess you can't really judge a book by it's cover! read more

Sometimes in the heart of Downtown it may be a little harder than it would seem to find a quick spot you can pop in and grab a bite that isn't one of the major chains you think of. After walking around hungrily wishing I had either a burrito or a quesadilla I spotted this place and looked both ways before sprinting across street towards it. The inside was very clean, well-lit and spacious, definitely better than feeling claustrophobic while trying to eat burritos. I actually ended up going with a Quesadilla and had chicken as my feeling. They let you choose everything that goes into whichever item you choose and I loved that they had a lot more options than some of their competitors. I filled quesadilla to my heart's content and grabbed a Jarritos as well. The food was great and it also came with some chips and salsa FO FREE, who doesn't like that. Short answer: decent burritos, amazing ice cream! Great ice cream at a burrito place...Surprising? Yes. 100% true? Also yes. Over the past five or so years, this areas become kind of gritty. The Seven-Eleven across the street is on the Homeless Alcoholic's map of Chicago. The Inn of Chicago glammed up their lobby, but pimps still miss the hotel's hourly rates back when they were a Best Western. ANYWAY, this Burrito Beach is pretty good. I stopped in the Streeterville Burrito Beach for lunch. I placed my usual order of carne asada tacos and guac. Always delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. I also ordered a fish taco that I ate when I got home. It was amazing! I want to share my positive experience at Burrito Beach at O'Hare airport. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs for celiac disease. When I asked about the Gluten Free menu, they immediately asked if I was celiac and took the necessary steps to ensure there wasn't any cross contamination. It was an awesome experience! I love burrito beach. I really do. The Miguel's breakfast burrito is delicious. That being said, I think this location is kind of dirty. They could clean it up. The whole place seems kind of grimy and the outside is dirty which I know they don't have that much control over, but it contributes to the dirtiness nonetheless. The card reader is pretty gross. My husband was randomly craving a burrito in the morning and this was right across the street from our hotel. Surprised, this place was good!!! In the morning, they only have breakfast items (egg, ham, or chorizo) and a steak burrito. We went with a steak burrito. The ladies were so nice there! They were making sure we'd be happy with our orders. So it's kinda like a Moe's/Chipotle style. Where you order your main protein and pick the toppings you want in your burrito. We had cheese, lettuce, sour cream, rice, and guacamole. And boy. That guacamole in that burrito was fireeeee. So delicious. I was surprised! The steak was good. Very tasty and tender. They have a variety of hot sauce you can use. I like the chipotle hot sauce with it. Complimented it very well in my opinion. This place is very random, but I enjoyed my steak burrito there.
