On a motorcycle adventure with family snd friends. Stopped here for lunch. Amazingly wonderful good. Every item order from our group of 7 was "the best ever". I had the Ruben- I always get the Ruben if offered on the menu. This was the best I've had since 1990s. The special RedRock Burger got rave reviews from my husband and son. The coleslaw was a perfect vinaigrette and potatoe wedges amazing. Real ice tea!!! And homemade desserts with a pastry chef flair. read more

Super good food and service. My only gripe is that the beer and wine menu wasn't presented upon seating so, for a moment, I didn't think they served alcohol. But my persistence paid off when I asked and our server presented the beer and wine list. read more

I love this place so much and eat here every chance I get. I am through Boulder, UT several times a year either on personal trips or teaching backpacking courses. It's always a highlight of the trip to stop here for lunch before heading home to Salt Lake City. The chocolate whiskey pie is incredible, the salad with fried capers is amazing, and the french dip, and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, are both excellent. Always can't wait to eat here again!! read more

Yummy!!! I found this place after getting off the Burr trail and looking for something tasty to get to celebrate my birthday. This was it!! The tofu sandwich is perfect! It bursts with flavor and has a spicy kick to it. Also... the potato wedges are seasoned and fried to perfection! read more

Burr Trail Grill - The Crispy Tofu Sandwich - New American Near Me - Boulder, Utah

Outstanding We were hiking a long day in the Escalante national monument, and after a long day in the sun this was an excellent respite. By far the best tofu sandwich I'd ever eaten, and the service is a plus too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stop on the side of the road for pleasant food and good company. read more

Nice menu with options for vegetarians! I recommend the fried green tomatoes My husband enjoyed the fried chicken Lemon caper salad read more

Sits on the corner right before the Burr Trail begins (breathtaking drive). Has lots of quirky character inside and out. The menu has salads, epic burgers, and various other things like a delicious trout filet. Alarico was our server and belonged in a four-star restaurant with his professionalism, attentiveness, and menu recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves before another awesome day exploring Capitol Reef National Park! read more

Burr Trail Grill - Loved the decor and regret not purchasing the mug/t-shirt! - New American Near Me - Boulder, Utah

Can't complain about a thing! Except maybe it's too far from home. We had the burger and it was juicy so ask for an extra napkin. The Carmel apple pie ala mode had a flakey crust and was just the right amount of sugar. Definitely stop if you are going through. read more

This is a great spot - we pulled in on the way up to Torrey from Bryce. The trout was as good as it gets. We felt like we were back in San Francisco. We're total food snobs. The food here was legit. And no meal would be complete without a slice of fresh homemade pie so... we went for a slice (did we really have a choice) the apple pie. Ka booooom... the pie was great! The pie rounded the whole thing out quite nicely. read more

Great ambience. Food was delicious. Had the tofu sandwich and it was amazing. Staff was friendly and the food came out quick. Definitely a gem of a place to try out. read more

Burr Trail Grill - Peach & Blackberry Pie - New American Near Me - Boulder, Utah

If you are in Scenic Highway 12 this should be times as a perfect lunch spot for food, scenery, ambience, service and pie. This was a pure delight. It's sometimes tough satisfying two adults eating towards the healthy side and kids craving volume. This place fulfilled our needs and wants. We started with the fried polenta, red peppers and goat cheese on caramelized onions. Definitely would have this again - I just wish I'd taken a photo to share. Mains were the Red Rocks Burger, recommended by our attentive server (by the way all the servers were on top of their game and know that they have a good business model reliant on their attitude and attentiveness) - but in my view the Turkey, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato was the star of the show. Real shredded turkey - not sliced which was nice for a change. Leave room for dessert. Their scratch made pies are indescribable. Awesome is a good start. We had the Ginger Berries, the Chocolate Whisky AND the Caramel Apple. Top it all off with home made vanilla ice cream and you have food heaven! We're staying at Bryce Canyon and will definitely be traveling 50 miles to eat here again before our Utah National Park tour is done. read more

This place is great! I ordered the trout with rice and it was flavor in every bite. Price is reasonable. I would gladly go back anytime.

Four of us had burgers, sandwiches, and a salad and all four of us were pleasantly surprised that a place in this small a town was so good. I would go out of my way to stop here again. read more

Great service and fantastic food - very rare to find this kind of place in the middle of nowhere The hamburgers we took were in a superb quality If you ever happen to drive through this little town you have to try this restaurant as you won't find anything close to it in the radius of a 100 miles read more

What a gem!! Gourmet food in a friendly and comforting dining experience and on a covid friendly porch!! The potato wedges stole the show, the fried chicken sandwich and lamb burger were delish! And don't forget the pie! read more

Had lunch here while driving highway 12. Food was awesome as well as the beer selection. This is a must stop if you're in the area.

A great find! We were on our way from Bryce Canyon to Capital Reef & stopped here for lunch. -- delicious! My lamb burger was juicy & the trout was also good. But, the fruit pies are a must. Fresh, flaky pastry with real fruit inside. Has both indoor & outdoor seating & there is a separate gift shop/coffee place next door. read more

After camping several days in the wilderness, sleeping in the dirt, let's just say this place hit the spot.

I will admit I am basing my review off of three items, and what we didn't have smelled better than what we did, so it is very likely this place is four stars. The staff is awesome, how quickly they were turning tables was unbelievable. We had the risotto cakes, the potato wedges and some pie. They were all very good, and I wanted all the burgers, I just couldn't bring myself to get one as we had a house full of food 3/4 of a mile away. I want to come back to this place. read more

This meal was muy muy delicioso! We ordered the risotto cakes and the chutney in topped tasted like baked beans and was to die for! The wedge salad with blue cheese was so good I could have eaten two or three. But then there may not have been room for the mushroom Swiss burger I downed! The potato wedges are a must. I'm not sure if they are roasted then fried or baked then fried or fried then roasted...whatever it was, I LOVED them and the seasoning was perfection. We also had the grilled country chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes and Brüssel sprouts. It was all gone shamefully, but not really shamefully, quickly! And to top off the night we got two pieces of ginger berry pie! A MUST STOP and a definite revisit for me! Plus Boulder Utah is one of my most favorite towns in all of Utah and everyone should see highway 12! read more

We dropped by this little town called Boulder while driving through Scenic Beltway 12. We ordered takeout, so we ate inside the car. Usually I do not expect much from road trip food, but this was a surprise. Super yummy spicy crispy chicken sandwich and big meaty BTG burger. read more

We went here in 2013 and we're still talking about it. It is, without a doubt, in the middle of nowhere. We were out for a drive and were hungry and stopped here. I had a bison burger and my wife had a veggie burger, both were great. When they asked about dessert and said apple pie and I was in. It was followed with "I made it this morning ". Then she asked "do you want ice cream? My boyfriend made that this morning ". That was a no brainer and with the homemade whipped cream it was to die for. read more

Everything was excellent during our stop at the Burr Trail Grill. Traveling from Capitol Reef NP to Bryce Canyon, this was a perfect midway stop. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. There's seating inside and outside. Once you order they give you a number to take to your table and bring your food out when it's ready. We had the BTG burger and fried chicken sandwich, both with the potato wedges and fry sauce. There wasn't one thing we didn't like about our meal. The house baked brioche buns were amazing, as well as the house made pickles and slaw on the chicken sandwich. Highly recommend stopping here if you are passing through! Wish we took pictures but they wouldn't have done it justice anyway! read more

Doesn't look like much from the road but this place was amazing! The burger and potato wedges were fantastic. The service was wonderful as well. Definitely recommend! read more

Don't miss the best burgers and pies in this cute place! What a gem! Unexpected and delicious!

Really nice staff and cool outdoor patio. We ordered the Thai Burger, Pan Fried Chicken and Ginger Berry Pie. The toppings on the burger were fantastic and flavorful, but the bun was too crisp and dry and although the patty was cooked perfectly, it was not seasoned properly, bland. The burger was served with potato logs which were SO good, but I only got four small wedges. For the price of the burger ($17!), I wish they could spare more of something that wouldn't break the bank. The chicken was served with mashed potatoes and broccolini and all was pretty tasty. The sauce over the top brought everything together. The filling of the pie was really good and something different, but I was disappointed in the thick/dry pie crust. Overall, the food was good, but the prices were so high that I can't justify a higher rating. read more

Hands down the best meal of our week long trip through the national parks. If you are in the area I highly recommend.

I appreciate this place so much that they take Covid seriously unlike other small towns in Utah. Their food was decent. It's a great spot for lunch with nice outdoor seating. read more

One word: awesome! Great atmosphere, clean and simple, cozy vibe. The Doors and Springsteen playing in the background. Greeted with a smile and hello when we walked through the door which was nice. Service was very good. We tried the fried green tomatoes- delicious! Between us we tried the burger, Reuben, salads and homemade apple/caramel pie and vanilla ice cream. Only negative was the potato wedges - the coating made them kinda tough but they tasted ok. Really such a great stop for lunch along Hwy 12. The little gallery next door had some nice things, too. read more

Burr Trail Grill - Get these - best ones I've ever had! - New American Near Me - Boulder, Utah

This is easily one of the best places I have eaten in a very long time. I can see why they have such a high score on Yelp! The boyfriend and I had just driven up the Hell's Backbone corridor from Escalante and were starving! This was the first place to pop up for Boulder, UT. The spot has ample parking and the group of people that were working at the time were very courteous and friendly. The look of the grill itself is sort of that rustic/urban/modern look that seems to be growing more popular. It was clean and moderately slow when we got there, but as we sat, it definitely started filling up. I ordered the forager burger and the boyfriend ordered the red rock burger. Both were heavenly! We also got the fries green tomatoes to split as an appetizer. If you stop here, even if you detest tomatoes, you have to try them. They were firm and crunchy and juicy and tender all at the same time!! Seriously, if you're in the area and you're hungry, make this the place you stop to grab a bite to eat. read more

I have NEVER tasted food so flavorful! The chef is a magician! You have to stop here and check it out

Driving in the middle of what I thought no-where; hungry, & frustrated the last place I thought I would find was a gem of a place to eat. Boy was I wrong! Dirt storm and all, so glad I found this place. It's a little hipster joint, & yes I loved it! WOW! Food was amazing we started with the cauliflower/corn appetizer which was so yummy it had a hint of spiciness that was just perfect! For my main course I had a specialized burger my taste buds went crazy when they met the tasty caramelizad onions, sautéed mushrooms and the juicy, fresh meat along with the crispy lettuce on some fresh buns. Since everything was so good, we couldn't leave without trying their pies; we had their peach, apple & chocolate mousse with whiskey all three were good. Service was great, water was made available to immediately and our waitress made the experience a pleasant surprise! I would totally recommend! read more

This stop was recommended by friends when they found out we would be driving past it on our tour through several parks. I would not have expected such quality and creative menu items at this small little pull out. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was excellent. The sandwich was just slightly spicy, the coleslaw was just right, and the overall combination of ingredients made for a great sandwich. Also pictured is one of their burgers that my parents split. The potatoes wedges that came with our meal were delicious--the only problem was that we all wanted more! We finished our meal with some of their homemade pie. We tried the apple and spiced cherry--the apple was a little sweet, but I would easily eat either flavor again! The atmosphere was fun and staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a stop here if you can--even if that means eating earlier/later than normal for you. read more

Simple little place in a quiet little town. Burr Trail Grill is the perfect spot to grab some food after getting lost in the woods for a few hours. It was pretty busy when we got there so we sat at the bar. Our bartender Tanya suggested all of her favorites, asked us about our trip, and was just a sweetheart. Nice beer selection. Good bites. I ordered the reuben and didn't expect much. This reuben was the size of my head! The thing was massive...not the best but I was starving and it was just what I needed. We wanted to take one of their homemade pies back to camp but they require you ordered the day before for whole pie orders. read more
