Cold Brew for the drive back!!

We went on a 6 mile hike today and we were starving... we stopped at this to Lil grill on the road... and to our amazement , the food was EPIC! My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and I had the trout . That paired with the lemon caper salad and we are stuffed and satisfied ! The service was excellent as well :) Highly recommend !!

Nice stop in Boulder, UT. Indoor & outdoor seating. Next door to a coffee shop. We got the burger & spicy chicken sandwich. Delish! Service was very friendly and attentive. Sat outside with our dog. Lovely corner and views.

I am so glad I was out in the middle of a very scenic byway (State Highway 12) and happened upon this delightful oasis! I had no idea what to expect from the understated exterior. Once inside, orders are taken at the counter and food and beverages are brought to your table. The beet salad was exceptional, arugula, house pickled beets, pistachios, whipped honey goat cheese and honey vinaigrette. Oh I want one right now! The Lamb burger, made with local lamb, lemon mint sour cream, tomatoes, red onion, ribboned cucumber, feta cheese on a house baked brioche bun! Omg The wine, the deserts - everything is just scrumptious! If you are anywhere near this place you have to go. The owners are amazing too!

Well, what does one do when you finish a great hike? Why grab a cheeseburger and chow down. My friend and I were on a road trip on the beautiful Highway 12 stopping at a few national parks in Utah. After an epic hike, we had to to have some food. This place appeared and just in time. I chowed on the most incredible cheeseburger. This burger was seasoned to perfection and everything about it was Delicious. Yes, that's what I said. You are probably thinking what's so big about a cheeseburger? I can't explain it all I can say is it was truly one of the best burgers I have ever ate. As I write my review, I am still dreaming of it. Service was great and friendly. You can either eat indoors or outside on the nice views patio. For a such a small and out of the way burger joint, this place rocks! If you ever find yourself looking for some good food off Highway 12 in Utah be sure to stop in here. Your belly will thank you.

It's been years since I've been here but I couldn't forget one of my favorite meals when I was road-tripping through the Utah national parks! Cell service was a bit spotty during our drive but somehow we happened upon this restaurant when we were starving. They had the best comfort food - I ordered the pastrami on rye with roasted potatoes and it was delicious. Super flavorful with a sauerkraut punch! Potatoes were cooked perfectly. Of course, I had to get some peach pie for the road- it was heavenly, homemade with love. When exploring Capitol Reef National Park area, this is a MUST for lunch!

Sometimes I crave this burger so much, I consider driving 4 1/2 hours just to get it. It has ruined me for all others.

A true hidden gem in Boulder, Utah!…read more Sweetwater Kitchen is one of those places that makes the journey part of the experience. Tucked away off Hell's Backbone Road, the setting is absolutely beautiful, and the combination of the rustic atmosphere, incredible views, thoughtful food and great cocktails makes this a place I would definitely return to. We had the Rainbow Trout Filet, which was pan-seared and served with celery root purée, celery, almond green beans, baby tendrils, sundried tomato, remoulade and lemon vinaigrette. It was beautifully prepared, fresh and full of flavor. The BBQ Rib Eye Pork Chop was incredible--so tender it practically melted in your mouth. It was pan-roasted with sage and a homemade BBQ glaze, accompanied by summer corn, pepper drops, caramelized onion and an apple chutney. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was fantastic. We also tried the corn chowder, which featured late-season corn, bacon and micro cilantro. It was a delicious way to start the meal, and the cocktails were definitely worth mentioning. The Mountain Spring cocktail was refreshing and perfectly suited to the beautiful mountain setting. The Sugar House Rum Prickly Pear cocktail was another favorite--such a fun, flavorful drink and a great complement to dinner. What really stood out was how much this restaurant feels like an experience rather than simply a place to eat. Sweetwater Kitchen embraces the area around it, with seasonal ingredients, locally sourced food and a relaxed ranch atmosphere. The restaurant describes its philosophy as seasonal cooking with ingredients at their peak, including ingredients grown or raised right on the ranch. (Sweetwater Kitchen) If you're exploring Boulder, Escalante, Capitol Reef or Scenic Byway 12, put Sweetwater Kitchen on your list. It's worth getting off the main road for! Beautiful setting. Excellent food. Creative cocktails. A memorable Utah dining experience.

The service was attentive but not overbearing. We ordered the beet salad, wedge salad, and the ribeye. They started us off with a amuse bouche which was really tasty. The salads were incredible. The bacon on the wedge salad was to die for. We really liked the rib eye as well, only wish it was a tad more seasoned but I think our palates are a lil on the salty side. Overall great experience and a must stop if you're in the area!

Circle of Destination (Circle D) Restaurant is a HIDDEN TREASURE in the middle of the quiet town,…read moreEscalante. It is part of the Circle D Motel next door. My family stopped by here and our way to the National Parks and are so glad that we did. As my dad said, "this was the best meal of our trip so far", comparing it to fine dining in Seattle. Circle D is a relatively small establishment overall, and so we had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes or so. The owners and a young waitress whom they had hired a couple weeks before were the only front staff. All of them were very friendly. As far as the food, we ordered the smoked tuna Niçoise salad, the bone-in pork chop, and the lemon chicken. We also had the truffle fries for an appetizer. The TRUFFLE FRIES were super flavorful and packed with umami flavors. The cheese was perfectly melted on top giving it an extra rich and savory flavor. The SMOKED TUNA NICOISE SALAD was also excellent. The fish had a well-rounded smoky taste and the salad was HUGE. All of the vegetables were extremely fresh and crisp; they included tomato, avocado, red radish, green beans, and olives. While the smoked fish was the star of the dish, the baked potato was by far the BEST baked potato I've had in my life- crisp and browned on the outside and soft in the inside. The BONE-IN PORKCHOP was the highlight of the dishes. I don't normally like porkchop as I usually find it too dry but this one was super moist. The apple and parsnip compote was BOMB. This is the must-get dish if you come. The LEMON CHICKEN was wonderfully tender and came with the amazing potatoes as described above and fresh green beans. It had prominent olive and lemon flavors and reminded me of the chicken my mom bakes in the oven at home. The atmosphere is cozy; and homely. They have about 10 tables in total or so. It is clean and they have an open patio if you want to dine outside. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

The layout of outdoor seating into the indoor venue by the music stage allowed for customers to have an option of what kind of vibe they wanted for their meal. We sat right next to the stage and had the best time. The live music was an awesome touch. The whole restaurant was singing along most of the time, making song recommendations, and even some customers joined in on the microphone making for a super fun and interactive night. Service was quick and super accommodating (gave the best recommendations on food too). We were raving about the food for days after-- especially the Jalapeño Brisket Sausage.
