Tea Leaf Salad
Shareen C.

We went for Saturday night dinner at around 6:30pm and there wasn't any wait. The service was amazing. The waiter always checked in with us throughout the meal and answered all of our questions. The inside was clean and a bit dim. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad and the Lotus Chips! Those two dishes were super delicious.

The food is AMAZINg here. Try everything and it is meant to be shared. The beef curry was my favorite along with coconut juice. Service is great and you can always ask them to give you recs depending on your party size and dietary preferences. The place is very big and fits a lot of people so it's a great place for social gatherings.

You can never go wrong with tea leaf salad! The palata was buttery and delicious with curry on the side. The garlic noodles were tasty and had a sweet chili sauce. The cucumbers cut through the oil with freshness. I was disappointed with the nan gyi dok because the sauce was too watery, making it hard for it to stick to the noodles. The noodles were very bouncy as always though.

Tried this place from walking by was we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The Tea Leaf Salad was better than Burma Superstar and their salad is great. Just liked this one better, not as tart and the crunchy things don't break your teeth.

Yummy, fast and accommodating service. They weren't super busy when we came in around lunch time, and food came within 10 minutes for to go orders. The rest of our group was seated, the restaurant is lovely and bright. I ordered the Nan Gyi Dok. It has crunchy and soft textures-- chips and noodles and soft chicken. Very interesting.

This place is great! If there is anybody visiting from outside of California, I always make sure to take them here because most people haven't tried Burmese food, and this place does a wonderful job at keeping the food authentic but also generalizable to the public's taste preferences. It reminds me a lot of thai food, but certain items like the tea leaf salad, and nuances in the pad Thai, etc. taste a little bit different, so I would definitely try it if you are in the area. Additionally, most of the cocktails on the menu are great and pretty strong, so I would highly recommend that as well! Before Covid, they used to introduce all of the ingredients of the tea leaf salad in front of us and mix it up in front of us, but they don't do it anymore, and it seems like the portion sizes got a little bit smaller, but I would still try it if you have never tried a tea leaf salad! It is definitely a nicer place, and so the indoor ambience adds to why it seems so nice, but the outdoor seating hasn't necessarily done a great job in keeping up at ambience and therefore in justifying the prices. I definitely wish they did more with the outdoor seating, especially because the street was blocked off FOR the outdoor seating!

My friends and I got family style meal and were pretty satisfied! Our favorite thing on the menu is definitely the mango white fish. The coconut rice was soo good as well. We also got the tea leaf salad which is a classic if youre eating burmese. Its served on a plate while other places serve it in a bowl with the ingredients separated. It probably tastes the same but i think presentation matters a lot. We also got mango tofu which was a miss. The type of tofu used didnt go well with the dish - it was hard and rubbery.

My picture was of us after we already dove in, we couldn't help ourselves! also not pictured was the Tea Salad which was delicious! Definitely recommend, our server was phenomenal and even brought my boyfriend out a scoop of ice cream with a crazy flamer/candle on top! It was so sweet and he was so fun and knowledgeable. Recommend if you're in Palo Alto! As a note, we went there during Memorial Day weekend and the road was still closed for dining which made it super spacious and my mom - who hasn't eaten out since the pandemic started - felt very comfortable eating here.

They had decent food and fair prices but very slow service. Took 2 hours to eat and get our bill.

Food is very good. I love both tea leaf salad and mango salad. Fiery beef and/or lamp are also fantastic.

It's rare to find GF baked goods this light and fluffy. They must have a secret flour blend because everything is incredible and doesn't leave you feeling heavy afterward. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood shopping center, the shop is cozy, clean, and has a few spots to sit. There's ample parking and an understandable line out the door, but the staff is wonderfully friendly, helpful, and keeps things moving smoothly!

The muffin made my eyes pop with the burst of incredible flavor and it was huge! It was delicious and definitely one of my favorite muffins ever! We experienced a problem with our drink cups though. My husband's coffee would drip down the front with each sip. Then I found that mine was leaking as well. I removed my lid and it looked like the rim of the cup was collapsing and getting soggy from the heat of the drinks- like how paper straws fall apart. Luckily, my husband wore a black shirt that hid the stains but it was really annoying to have to deal with that as we were too far to go back and have the cups replaced.

That's when I found Palmita. I'll be honest, I was on the fence. There are so many ghost kitchens and just straight up shitty food on DoorDash these days that I almost skipped it. I'm glad I didn't. I ordered the Wagyu Barbacoa Rice Bowl with the Palmita mole, and wow... this was fire. Fresh, clean, whole food that actually tasted homemade. Every bite was so good. I wish I had taken a picture, but I absolutely demolished it before I even thought about it. I'll definitely be ordering again, but next time I'm coming IRL. We need more places like this.

The garlic rice had no flavor, and definitely couldn't taste the garlic in it. The rest of the veggies were very bland -- cauliflower, pickled onions, salad, corn and beans, etc. I was so disappointed because the dish had no flavor. Even though it came with a mole sauce, I felt like it was hard to finish because the veggies didn't really go well together -- at times sour, other times just bland. The tofu similarly didn't have much flavor. My partner said the chicken in his chicken bowl was pretty good. He didn't have any complaints, but also was underwhelmed with the flavors. We both agreed we wouldn't come back.

We are almost never in the small, non-assuming town of Isleton unless we're driving to or from Stockton. But this little sandwich shop is way worth the stop - go check them out! Food was amazing!! We ordered The Bobby with Sourdough Roll, Pastrami, Mortadella, Provolone, Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Oil & Vinegar - delicious and a hearty size. We also got The Angela with Croissant, Roast Beef, Pepper Jack Cheese, Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Pepperoncini Peppers, Sprouts, Tomato, Red Onion. Both sandwiches were delicious. We also ordered two zombie sandwiches for a light dinner later that night. They are like bread buns stuffed with sandwich meat and cheese. Very good! You can have them heat the zombies for you. Service was great. The guy who took our order was friendly, respectful, and attentive. They have bottled drinks, chips, and jams and other items from local family-owned businesses. There's no indoor or outdoor seating, so plan to order and go! There's only a small entrance and ordering area inside the restaurant.
