Felt like discovering Isleton and found this amazing sandwich spot. Fresh ingredients and soft bread. Small little shop but cute and quirky. I honed in on the worm from Labyrinth. I had the Bobby and I usually don't like pastrami, but it wasn't salty and easy to eat. I had a fruity pebble marshmallow treat. It really tasted homemade, which is best. There were other treats too, which I would come back to try. Service was fast and friendly.

Stopped on our way to Sacramento for rafting. Loved the old school zombie from the 80s! Everyone else loved their sandwiches!

Whoa. The sandwiches are amazing....I had to return the next day for another one. Moist and tasty highly recommend the pastrami! I had the keto bread. It was so good. They're very friendly.

The days special. Roast Beef with lettuce, tomato and Garlic Aioli on a Brioche bun.

Great little place tucked away in a small city on the Sacramento River south of Sacramento. Got the Special which was a Roast Beef Sandwich that I got on a Brioche roll with lettuce, tomato and a tasty Garlic Aioli spread. Ummmmm

Pastrami sandwich

I was in Iselton today visiting a local community and the manager mentioned all of the great local eateries. He said The McBoodery was a must try. I usually stay away from sandwich shops because I find them disappointing most of the time. Not today though. I had one of the Best Pastrami sandwiches that I've ever had. I enjoyed a side of homemade potatoe salad (only one of many options), and a huge chocolate chip cookie for later. Don't miss this local gem.

I eat sandwiches worldwide and this is always my go go to for a baseline. Turkey and Salami on Sourdough

You're already ahead of the game when you make your own bread. I'd show up just did that. Their chip selection was what to expect from a deli so they will for sure have what you like, drinks are about the same. The service was perfect. From the order to the built sandwich was 5 stars. Quaint little shop in a small town so it definitely felt as such. I also had their home made beef jerky and it's a go back for on the mango habanero. Sandwich's looked so big I didn't try any of their deserts but I'll be back to try it all.

Everything homemade, fresh to order & EXCELLENT! The staff was kind, perfect for a day-date or family picnic! It's worth the drive or try, if you're in the neighborhood!

Muffeleta-ish Sandwich was super packed and super delicious! The small pesto salad had no chance that I forgot to take a pic.

Stopped to grab a sando while in the area! What a hidden gem. The Muffeletta-ish sando was amazing. Fresh brioche bun packed and loaded with tasty ingredients. The pesto pasta salad was super tasty too! I want to try all the sandos on the menu but I'm only 1 person LOL! When in Isleton make a stop here.

I wanted to visit here because of the guest performer that was going to be here. From what o hear, she has performed here in the past before. And I know for anytime in the future that her and her band is around again, I will definitely try to make it out. For sure the music vibes had me dancing in my seat, while I enjoyed a bowl of chilli and homemade cornbread. The chilli was of without spice but the cornbread was delicious to accent the meal overall. In the beginning of our visit the table service was a bit slow as we were walked by twice before r even being acknowledged as I spoke up asking about their pricing on a few items. Once we warmed up and had our meal, we later ordered a flight of wine. We asked the server assisting us inside to pick what they thought were some of the best wines they have. A bit on the bolder side for me but we finished them off. Ther performance was set up outside on their side patio but inside is really nice and welcoming as well. Very well thought out on the decors and the restroom was really clean. I know that we will be visiting again during one of our weekend strolls through town. As we are always seeking new spots in town to try out

The chicken Parmigiana (house specialty) was presented on a large plate and the food only took up half of it. Was this a plating error? It truly looked like food was missing on the plate. The Rib Eye, a special of the night came in 2 large pieces and on small piece. It made no sense. It took a while to get our waitresses attention, but when we did she took it to her manager. I sent it back after asking is this how it is typically served she said sometimes it comes like that and other times it comes as one big piece. When ordering a $60 steak I expect to get a whole steak. If I was told it was done for sharing purposes maybe I would have understood it being in 2 pieces but not a third small piece. To top it off, this is for the manager on site tonight, your patrons can see your reaction. You looked pissed that I had the audacity to send it back. Then while you stood speaking with the chef in the open kitchen it again looked like a problem that I would want a whole steak. Lastly when speaking with the waitress and she leaves seemingly upset at your reaction it does not make for a good dining atmosphere. The restaurant was packed. It is homecoming weekend. Like led like some locals were there too. At the table next to us a staff member sat down with some patrons eating before going back to work tables delivering beverages. Probably on a break. I was please to see family and friends supporting the restaurant. The Chicken parmigiana with the pesto was delicious besides the poor plating. The Rib Eye once served properly was lacking n some seasoning or as my son said it tasted bland. Maybe the butter needed to be melted all over it to give it additional seasoning, but I would prefer to not eat the cold butter that didn't want to melt into the steak. Mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes. String beans were blanched and crunchy. Lots of them filling up the plate. The BEST thing we ate was the Pear Crisp! It was warm and sweet with the perfect crunch on top. The restaurant is large but reservations fill up! There was a back room that could be closed up by some drapes and a large bar area. Also in the front is a market to purchase pre cooked and portion items home. Along with sauces, ice cream, items for a charcuterie board and wine to drink in house or take it to go. To go prices are slightly lower. I would consider going back and give it an another try. The wood fired pizzas, burgers and salads looked very good. Large portions as well for those. Watching the managers reaction to my disappointment in my order truly detracted from the dining experience. He never came over to speak to us. I might be in from out of town but I do get to choose where my family dines when we are here large or small parties.

The food was outstanding! We had hot n sour soup, spicy pork dumplings and sesame balls. My husband is still talking about the sesame balls today because they were so good. Their portions are very generous. The soup spoons were a pretty coated ceramic and the silverware was heavy weighted and comfortable, not forgetting to mention they were gold plated. It was like dining at a friend's house instead of a restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly and the three men in the kitchen were working tirelessly. The prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend Hidden Dumpling House.
