Delicious! My son requires GF and nut free treats and he really enjoyed his Dairy free brownie. (To be clear, they do have some treats with nuts on the menu) As for me, I ordered an oatmilk latte and a lemon poppyseed muffin. The muffin made my eyes pop with the burst of incredible flavor and it was huge! It was delicious and definitely one of my favorite muffins ever! We experienced a problem with our drink cups though. My husband's coffee would drip down the front with each sip. Then I found that mine was leaking as well. I removed my lid and it looked like the rim of the cup was collapsing and getting soggy from the heat of the drinks- like how paper straws fall apart. Luckily, my husband wore a black shirt that hid the stains but it was really annoying to have to deal with that as we were too far to go back and have the cups replaced. read more

Arrived on Friday and planned to get a GF cinnamon roll from here before leaving Sunday, not realizing it is only open Tuesday thru Saturday wahhhhhhhhh. Having gluten and dairy free dietary restrictions and a love for pastries does not always go hand in hand, but I genuinely could not tell the difference at Nece's GF. I visit Monterey maybe once a year, and I make it a point to get my gluten free baking fix at least once while I'm in town. I guess lots of people are in the know, though, because they mostly sell out before 10am. So get there early! The muffins are perfectly textured too- none of the gritty or mushy feel you get with so many gluten free baked goods - just tender crumb in lots of flavors. I tried the sugar cookie and the salt pretzel this time around too. The cookie had a delicious buttery flavor and was soft but not overly crumbly- the closest I've seen to what I remember of a traditional sugar cookie. Where to start? Nece's GF is incredible!! We have tried everything from their sandwiches, cake slices, cheesecake slices, cookies, brownies, pretzels, to their ham and cheese wheels. Yesterday my husband and I found Nece's because we are both gluten sensitive. My husband is also dairy sensitive. We bought their gluten free dairy free brownie and it was out of this world! Nece's is great! My wife and I dropped in today for the first time today. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean and the staff is welcoming. There is a nice variety of options to pick from as well. We tried, the cinnamon roll which was delicious and have great texture. We also tried a sugar cookie which was also really great.
