My first visit, a few months ago, I was so pleasantly surprised by how much they had packed into that store but yet it didn't feel chaotic. Even visiting just before the holidays you'd expect the place to be a mess.. not this one! All the good stuff is there... pillows, fluffy bath towels in every color, photo frames of every size, dishes, baskets, and some crazy furniture pieces. And of course it's all at the price point we know and love. Bonus points for the fact that this location is (a) easy to get to right off of 46, (b) next to a Marshalls, and (c) offers plenty of parking.

They have a lot of stuff to offer here as most Marshalls do, but they could do better with having more people working the registers and moving a little quicker as it was hot as hell in this store. However , the issue is the line . Every time I go here there are normally only 2-3 people who are at the registers . On top of that it seems that these transactions move at a glacial speed. This to me says they are under staffed ... Double check the fabrics and make sure it's the right size since people leave items all over, no random off colors, toys aren't missing pieces, etc. You can definitely find some deals if you spend the time. But there are a lot of strange styles here, too. Most items have tags with the prices clearly stated on most items but people do tend to put stuff all over. Line up front moves relatively quickly but people don't always pay attention.

I don't casually stroll the aisles because it's sterile, with displays lacking in eye appeal. No problem with that since I shop for price at WalMart. For example, I do my own oil changes and the have the very lowest oil prices, beating Amazon and Costco... my wife buys family sized breakfast cereal here for the same reason. Sounds pretty good, right? But they also have, at most 2 human staffed cash registers open. The encourage shoppers to use self checkout and since they never invite to the Christmas party, I refuse to work for them! 4 stars for the good prices for the items I want but one taken away first the inconvenience of long lines with the human (personable, friendly, helpful) cashiers. I really like this Target!…read more Compared to my other close location (East Hanover) this Target is so much emptier, meaning it's way cleaner and more well stocked. They have a great dollar section and there is absolutely never a line at self checkout or Starbucks. This Target is almost like a hidden gem. It's literally night and day from their location in JC which is bustling at all hours of the day. Only knocking off a star because their children's clothing section is super lackluster. I will say that the East Hanover location has way more selection. But, for all other Target needs this is where it's at. I'm a suburban mom, so Target is life!

Parking can be a bit treacherous as cars go thru like they are still on the highway.. so just be on alert. There is also a huge flood zone in the parking lot when you exit to rt 46. Another thing to be cautious of if it's raining. Overall this isn't the worst Target around and i stop by often-ish on my way home. but it's definitely not the best.. and I'd recommend driving a little farther to one of the other stores in the area.
