With all the snow and ice we have gotten lately I had to have my car towed to the shop today because I needed a new tire. I was expecting to have to buy a brand new one , but the guy found a used one that was in great shape for $59 plus tax and installation. The service was fast and friendly. I was out in 15 minutes. Went in with a flat and, even though they were super busy they still took the time to fit me in to get me safely back on the road. Staff is friendly and they know their profession. Dad was in recently and this was the only location that carried used tires and would change it for him last minute in the evening. Don't let bitter people steer you away from this business; if every business you review you give negative feedback maybe you're the one with the problem not them. That being said have purchased tires twice for myself, taken my daughter there for tires as well as my son in law, and matter of factly I'm on my way there now to buy rear tires for my truck. I took my car to Burgess Tire to have a tire pressure sensor changed out because one of mine wasn't working and my low tire light would flash on startup and stay on even though my tires had the correct air pressure.I took my 2012 Hyundai Elantra to them because they were the lowest price for having one changed. When I went to pick my car up they said two sensors were actually bad and they changed them but they didn't have the right obd2 reader to scan the new pressure sensors so they weren't able to turn off the low pressure light. I told them I could try and take it to Autozone or Tire Discounters to see if one of their scanners would work. The guy at the front desk said to let him know what they say and if I need anything else "we'll get the problem fixed" so I paid ($80 for 2 sensors and $40 for a tire balance) and took my car to Tire Discounters. Tire Discounters tried to scan the new sensors but their scanner wasn't sensing anything so I called Burgess again and they said I might have to drive 20 miles under 60mph for the sensor to activate. I did that over the course of the next couple of days and took the car back to Tire Discounters, still nothing. I called Burgess again and they said to bring the car in the next day and they would look at it and that he would talk to his parts guy that evening. When I got there the next day I was told the only thing I could do was to take it to a Hyundai dealership and they would be able to scan the sensor. I told the desk guy I didn't really have time to run to a Hyundai dealership that is an hour from me to have them maybe be able the scan the sensors. He said there wasn't anything else he could do for me so I asked if he could put the old sensors back on and give me a refund to which he said "no". Seeing that I wasn't going to get anywhere I left and called the closest Hyundai dealership and they said it would be $130 to scan the sensors and most of the time 3rd party sensors weren't able to be read. I'm now disputing the charge with my credit card company because I went in to have my low tire light turned off and they did not fix that problem because they installed parts that they don't have the equipment to validate that the parts are working correctly once installed. How am I suppose to know they replaced the parts when I can't take a tire off my rim to see the part? As far as I'm concerned I am still having the same problem as before I paid them to fix it. To anyone that ready this and is thinking about going there to save some money, I would recommend you find somewhere else. read more

Be cautious. They are seemingly good people but will judge you and charge you accordingly with the excuse that they have to keep the lights on somehow.. He charged me $150 to mount and balance a set of tires. You won't keep the lights on by gouging locals who support you because they would rather support small businesses than go to a corporation.. I have went to the place on several occasions. These guys are honest and general do the right thing. They're used tires are generally barely used. This Morning I drove up with a hole in my truck tire that I unsuccessfully tried to plug myself, the old man was out front and asked how he could help me. I told him I about the screw hole, he said pull up to the garage, the mechanic was jacking it up in seconds, fixed the hole correctly and had me ready to check out in about 10 min or less( that time included him doing a quick check of the tread on my other tires. Go to pay and it's like 17.50 after tax. Ken towery wanted 32.00 plus tax and had a two hour wait!!! It's worth the 6 mile drive to Burgess!!! Thanks guys I'll keep coming back! read more

Absolutely awful. Complete scam artist. I dropped my truck off for a new battery and to get new brake pads/ rotors. They wanted to charge me $800+!!!! The parts alone were only $300. So $500 for labor???!!! They must be high as a kite! So I went and got my truck and paid for the battery and decided I'll just do it myself. Some how the battery was $170 and to top off the b/s they charged me $35 for taking my wheels off to look at brakes and check my old battery? Why would you check my battery when I told you it was bad!?!?! And that's only the first half of the story. While I was driving home I lost all of my breaks, peddle straight to the floor! One of the old pads went through my calipers! I could have crashed or worse hit some one! Immediately I called them and they denied that they touched my brakes! At that point I traded a few foul words with the guy and hung up. Let's just say if I see him in public he'd better have a good dental plan. read more

This place will rip you off !! They charged me $45.00 for 10 minuets of work to cut a hose and put on a new clamp, then addition charges for what they tried to tell me was special radiator fluid, when I saw regular go in. When I ask for a receipt he added an additional 270 bucks for used tires I never purchased. Looks like they are ripping off the IRS along with their customers. read more
