A good hot dog makes for a great lunch for me, something just filling enough to fuel the rest of your day but doesn't overwhelm your hunger for a nice dinner. I was delighted to see a new company take over this land space and use it for more Chicago style hot dogs as well as ice cream. A good portion of the menu is carried over from their predecessor, but these are standard Chicago dogs (Chicago Style, Maxwell Street Polish, etc.). For my first visit, I wanted to try one of Ice Cream Station's unique offerings, so I went with the Southern Slaw Dog which consisted of a Vienna Beef dog covered with coleslaw, BBQ sauce, and a pickle spear. The flavors of the slaw and BBQ sauce complimented each other well, and the pickle spear just added to the feel of something you'd get at someone's backyard BBQ. My only complaint was that the brioche bun was a little stiff. I think I'll stick to the steamed poppy seed buns for future visits. There is plenty of parking, but the outdoor only seating might hinder the business during the hot Florida summer months. Hopefully, they will partner with delivery apps to accommodate customers. Speaking of future visits, I definitely plan on returning to check out their takes on the Maxwell Street Polish and Chicago Fire Dogs as well as their namesake ice cream. The service was great at my visit. While I don't doubt other Yelpers who had issues with their service, I do wish to emphasize that this is their first week open, and the company has been very open about them still working out the kinks, so I think it's a bit unfair to give low rankings to a small business still finding their way. I'm rooting for Ice Cream Station, and I sincerely believe they have the potential to fill the shoes that Chicago Dog & Co. left behind. Give this place a shot, Orlando and Altamonte Springs foodies.

My kids went bananas over the dessert, the Italian sausage was good, kids loved the hot dogs and the crowd favorite was the chili cheese dog. Everyone was super nice! Lots of seating {all outside} and plenty of parking!

Before my Mom and I went, we checked the closing hours. According to our online search, the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. We weren't far away and confirmed via GPS that we would get there by 9:03pm. As we were arriving, I noticed a worker had started removing the outdoor sidewalk sign back inside the restaurant. I asked the worker if they were closing and was told yes. The owner or manager, I would assume he was, stated we could come in. We drove around the building to a dark parking lot. Once we parked, the owner/manager, who was taking out the trash, questioned where I parked. I had parked behind, probably, his car which was closest to where we had to walk around to the front to enter the restaurant. I told him I quickly parked so we can get in and order. Once we entered the restaurant, we tried ordering. The owner/manager was very inpatient once he realized we were ordering food and not ice cream as he said he thought we wanted. I ordered a Chilli Cheese Dog (no bun). Mom got a Regular Hotdog (with condiments) and Plain Tater Tots. As we waited for our food, at least five people came in for ice cream. Our food was prepared in a reasonable time. We left approximately 9:23pm. Mom was satisfied with her food. My Chilli Cheese Dog was short on the Chilli. There was not a lot of Chilli on the hotdog. I don't plan on returning to this establishment.

This is a landmark in Maitland and if you're from the area or out of town like us, it just gives you those good vibes, you are experiencing Americana at its finest. Please get the cheesesteak it was crazy good, good the burger, simple but delicious and the fries too while you're at it. Enjoy the milkshakes and root bear float, they take their time making them from scratch so you can tell they are quality. And if you have some time pull up a stool sit down at the counter and enjoy the conversations that come. Granted it doesn't take long for them to make the food, but sit back relax and enjoy this special place that you can tell means a lot to the community.

The sandwich is messy, cheesy, flavorful, and exactly the kind of comfort food you're craving. Be prepared for a delicious, sloppy bite from start to finish. Friendly service, consistently great food, and a local favorite that's stood the test of time. If you haven't been, put Kappy's on your list. Highly recommended!

One of the things I've always liked about Five Guys is that the food is cooked to order, so I was looking forward to seeing if it was just as good as I remembered. I ordered a Little Bacon Cheeseburger and a Little Fry. The fries were the highlight of the meal. They were hot, crispy, and cooked just right. I did notice they no longer give the overflowing bag of fries they used to be known for, but honestly, I didn't mind. The portion was still plenty for one person and meant less food going to waste. The burger, unfortunately, didn't live up to my previous experiences. The bacon had a slightly burnt taste. I like crispy bacon, but this seemed like it had been left on the grill a little too long. The bottom bun was also a little hard and didn't taste as fresh as I remember, which took away from the overall sandwich. Five Guys has always been one of the pricier burger chains, especially since everything is ordered à la carte. I've never minded paying a little more because the quality has always made it feel worthwhile. This visit, though, I didn't feel like the food justified the price. I'll probably give Five Guys another try at some point because I've had much better experiences in the past, but this visit just didn't live up to the standard I've come to expect.
