I came here for a company Holiday Party of 20+ people and we were seated on the patio. The drinks were strong. I ordered a Lemon Drop(which I enjoyed) and a Cosmopolitan(it was slightly too strong or didn't have enough cranberry juice). I came an hour late so I didn't see all the food come out as is on a table buffet style. The atmosphere was great -- lively but comfortable -- and our server was amazing, super attentive and friendly throughout the night. I ordered the grilled steak, which was okay -- not bad, just not particularly memorable. My husband had the steak salad, which he enjoyed overall, though he mentioned the steak was a bit dry on the outside while still pretty raw inside. We came here for lunch when we came to the park to explore. Marlow's Tavern has a nicer bar feel to it. Like an upscale Millers Ale House. They have a good selection of American food with a good variety of dietary options. The service we had on this visit was nice! The waiter took good care of us, and helped us sign up for the rewards and discounts at the end. We started with the hummus platter. The portion was a bit small, but the accompaniments were really good, and the flavor was fresh! I got the crab cake sandwich, mom got the veggie burger, and my brother got the cheese burger. My partner and I enjoyed a casual dinner at Marlowe's on a Friday night. Our waiter was fantastic, and the service was fast. I really enjoyed the pomegranate mojito. For our entree's, I did the very veggie burger with fries. Their veggie burger is not trying to pretend to be a meat burger, which I enjoy. The one thing is, the bun used on the veggie burger is not my favorite, but it was my fault that I forgot to ask them to switch it to something else. My partner and I both enjoyed the fries too, however, he was not overly fond of his black and blue burger. He asked for it to be cooked medium, but it came out very well done. My husband had the salmon and really enjoyed it, but it was small portion. I had the fish tacos which were flavorful, but 2 tacos is a small portion. The broccoli was just mid. I haven't been to Marlow's since 2019 so I was interested to see how the quality and service was. We dined on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy at all. Our order was taken immediately after being seated and our server did an excellent job of asking us questions about how we wanted our food prepared, such as "what dressing would you like on your salad," and "what kind of cheese would you like on your burger?" We started with asparagus fries, which have been a favorite of mine. They were very crispy and the aioli dipping sauce is as good as I remember. Unfortunately, the asparagus was really salty. As for our entrees, I ordered a grilled chicken burger and they were able to accommodate my dietary preferences when I requested no bun. Our server actually asked if I wanted lettuce instead of a bun. My dad ordered a veggie burger, which he said was fine. We also asked for ketchup and our server forgot. He brought it when we were close to being done with our meals and he was very apologetic. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I'm not rushing to go back but it's great for an easy, casual and reasonable dinner. read more

My husband and I haven't been to Marlow's Tavern for quite sometime, and when I heard that they improved their lunch menu, we thought we would give them another try. It was a Friday afternoon around 2:00 pm. We decided to sit at the bar. The place was practically empty. We didn't want anything big as to spoil our appetite for dinner. We ordered their Asparagus Fries, which we had in the past and loved, and an order of dry rubbed wings, which we shared. They were very tasty. It seemed like it was taking too long for our order. I asked our female bartender about our food. She said, "I'll go check." She came back with the Asparagus fries only. She said the wings will be out shortly. No, they were not! Again I had to inquire about the wings. There was a gentleman sitting at the bar, but on their patio side. She (the bartender) spent so much time talking with this person instead of being more attentive to her other customers at the bar. It was a bit exasperating! We like the ambience of this restaurant, but their lunch menu was nothing to write home about. My husband and I decided to cross off that place from our list. read more

Was having a evening out alone and wanted to try somewhere new and swung by here. Smaller restaurant inside than I expected but they had a large patio for when the weather is nice. I was able to be seated fast and my server was nice. I got the filet with the duchess potatoes. The filets were cooked to temperature and had a good flavor. I tried both the compound butter and the the bourbon gorgonzola. The compound butter was fine but the bourbon gorgonzola was delicious. I was suprised that the cuts were two smaller medallions rather than a larger cut. I did not care for the duchess potatoes at all. Just the overall flavor of them were a pass, I wished I would have tried something else. For dessert I tried their crème brûlée. It was light and so good. I'm glad I did. Overall I enjoyed my meal, it was good. I would come back again. Just nothing is drawing me back immediately. read more

I've come here twice for a group event for over 30 singles & have been impressed both times with the Service. I enjoy the cozy atmosphere of this place and it's easy to talk to your group here. The food was good but kind of overpriced. I would Love to find a Burger & fry meal for under $10.00. Hamburger Marys has that if "good hamburgers" are ur thing too. So sorry to say that our dinner tonight was very disappointing. The only saving grace was our server, Chewy. He was excellent. My wife and I ordered the RW&B burgers. She ordered hers medium well asking that there be no red. She also asked to have the onions omitted. I ordered mine medium. Both came out the same...medium rare, red in the middle. Hers came with onions that she asked to be left off. The fries were a soggy mess and we both agreed that the burger was tasteless with no seasoning discerned. Very bland. As an aside, the table across from us had to move due to a leak in the ceiling onto their table. Not a good experience at all. read more

Our meal was excellent. I had the black and blue steak salad, and my husband had the black and blue burger (a bit of a theme going there). Cocktails (my Rye Manhattan and his New Fashioned) were also delicious. Half of my salad is going home with me for another meal. We got dessert to go, so I won't know until later how that is. Andrew's service was excellent, attentive and friendly without being overbearing. One constructive comment...it's lunch time on a Monday...there is no reason that the non-handicap stall in the women's restroom should be out of toilet paper. First time dining here - 3 people for lunch. We were excited about the menu, but let down by the food. One of us had the petite filet which was really just a ball of fat. Mash potatoes looked good, but no flavor?!? Chicken wrap was dry - no flavor. We asked if there was a sauce we could get on the side and the server said "it's on the wrap". We had to ask again for a side of the sauce in the wrap. Mistake made on our bill - to our advantage of over $30. I came here for dinner with an old friend, and it was a nice place. The food was typical fast-casual food. Tons of burgers and sharable apps on their menu. I unfortunately don't remember what I ordered, but I think it was the Crispy Grouper sandwiches (Tempura, Jicama Slaw, Tartar Sauce, Sesame Brioche Bun, Atlanta HOT). It was a good sandwich, I believe. I had no complaints. I also know for a fact that I got to try the Asparagus Fries, and those were great! Places rarely get breaded and fried veggies right, but this place did! Not greasy, the breading adhered well to the asparagus, and the little Citrus Aioli that it came with gave a bright pop of tang that paired so well with it. The server we had was very attentive. No issues. And the ambiance was kind of like all those other places, Applebee's, Chili's, etc. It was nice, overall, it's a five minute walk from my apartment, so I will probably be back. read more

Disappointing brunch on many levels. Our food was sent out separately. Three of the four of us were finished before the fourth got their breakfast. They did bring one egg in a bowl to hold him over. We asked for extra gravy since it's was so thick and needed moisture (fried eggs were hard). The extra gravy came out after we had finished eating. My husband got the Tavern Breakfast and his was missing the biscuit, bacon was undercooked, eggs were fried to a crisp literally and the sausage was cold. He also got new potatoes instead of hash browns. They were so busy we knew to send it back would be a long wait, we opted to not say anything. We have never had such a poor breakfast. I went here with my family for lunch and it was just meh. It was a cooler day outside but the A/C was blasting inside so it was cold. The food took a while to come out and it wasn't very busy. Went here with my mom on my way home and while I've been before, this visit was not very good. The sandwich was mediocre and kept giving me the sensation I had small bones from the meat in my mouth. The fries were great as always. The service was pretty bad. We had a guy with brown curly hair who spent more time hanging out talking to his friend than attending to his tables. When he was there he was quick to leave as soon as we said something not realizing there might be more we need. I didn't get a drink refill once without my mom or I asking for one. Hubby and I came to Marlow's Tavern for lunch. This time we are in the Oviedo location. Its decoration is similar to the other taverns- brick walls, wall mounted tv screens- mostly showing sports channels. We sat at one of their comfortable booths; they have high tops, bar seating, and outdoor seating. The place is clean, however not tidy. I could not help but notice this big cardboard box siting on a table in the middle of the restaurant. We were seated right away our server was super friendly and accommodating. The food came out in a reasonably timely manner. We have ordered the Firecracker shrimp before and in fact, it's our favorite. I noticed this location used their sauces or dressings very sparingly. Pictures included: The shrimp, truffle Parmesan fries, and my Caesar salad were pretty dry. I ordered the chicken panini with a side Caesar: the panini had a nice tomato and arugula salad dressed with a basil aioli. The sandwich surprised me with a mozzarella tempura-which tastes more and appears to be a breaded Mac and cheese- I absolutely loved this part. The panini (bread) itself was a bit too hard maybe old? and the chicken breast tender but under- seasoned . Overall it was not my favorite, (except the mozzarella tempura part!), but this could be just a fluke. My husband had the French Dip; he enjoyed it. His fries came out dry (without the truffle Parmesan) but they rectified it quickly with a freshly made basket. Food was okayyyyy. The service was great. We like Marlow's. The hostess sat us at our table and we had to move because there were food on the seat, so we moved to another booth. Service was friendly and we ordered the grilled salmon on a bed of Pearl couscous. The waitress asked both of us if we were ok the salmon was cooked medium well. Great! As the food came out, flavor couscous and a loud 2 tbs served on the plate. The fish was grilled and pan fried to almost bring deep fried. The fish were unfortunately hard and very salty. For a lunch dish of $22 one would appreciate the food was edible and flaky and portions reasonable. My friend and I were highly disappointed and the manager came out to listen to us and gave us $4.50 off. Would I return? Highly not as there are other favorable places. I had been meaning to try Marlows Tavern for some time now (other locations) and am so glad we gave it a chance one night. We have been here several times since our first discovery several months ago and look forward to coming back every time. The food is consistently delicious! My fiancé loves the grouper sandwich and I think he gets it just about every time - it really does stand out for a fish sandwich and actually tastes like grouper. My go-to is typically the fish tacos, though I have also enjoyed the grilled chicken (tavern favorites) and the Banh Mi wrap. I love how light and fresh the tacos are and I love to pair it with a side house salad - wow do I wish I discovered that salad earlier... the flavor!!! So yummy. Other sides I enjoy include the jalapeño corn grits, fresh fruit or the truffle fries. The Bahn mi wrap is massive in size and so packed with flavor. I highly recommend it as well. We've tried several appetizers so far and enjoyed trout dip, the kettle chips and the asparagus fries. The kettle chips are a massive portion and will be filling between two people, I'd say it's more for like four people to share. It was excellent. I enjoy a nice glass of wine here (love the Villa Wolf!) or the margarita (happy hour $5), very fresh and clean. I didn't care for the blackberry mojito, too much blackberry mash made it difficult to drink and the blackberries were tart which kind of ruined the flavor for me. Not my favorite mojito. We usually sit at the bar and have enjoyed conversations with several of the bartenders. Service otherwise has been a hit or a miss (nothing to complain about but not anything to rave home about otherwise, just ok). At first glance marlows seemed expensive but I felt it was comparable to other establishments price-wise so it wasn't terribly expensive. Overall. I have been to several Marlow's Taverns in the past and this was by far the best service I received. Andrew was my server and he was training at the same time. He definitely is knowledgeable, friendly and personal. This is one of me and my daughters favorite local spots. Casual setting. My daughter always orders their kids burger which is yummy but we tried the kids steak tonight. What a great choice and it come with 2 sides so it's plentiful. I ordered their Caesar Salad which was a nice portion as well; also had crumbles boiled eggs which was a unique and great touch. We sat out in the patio because it tends to be a bit cold inside. New Location in Oviedo! We stopped in for Sunday brunch and started with coffee, tea and a basket of biscuits! The biscuits were delicious and arrived piping hot with creamy butter and strawberry and grape jelly as well as a scrumptious orange marmalade that was the perfect ratio of sweet to tart. My pal and I happily split the veggie omelet which contained sun dried tomatoes, cheese and spinach accompanied by seasoned hash browns and a slice of toast. Perfect amount of food for two hungry ladies! The coffee was made and served fresh by the cup and was so rich and flavorful. I could have sat sipping all day long! They have outdoor covered dining as well as indoor seating. There's a full bar and the weekend brunch features mimosas and bloodies!
