Holiday party with My Salon Suite
Erlinda J.

I came here for a company Holiday Party of 20+ people and we were seated on the patio. The drinks were strong. I ordered a Lemon Drop(which I enjoyed) and a Cosmopolitan(it was slightly too strong or didn't have enough cranberry juice). I came an hour late so I didn't see all the food come out as is on a table buffet style. There was: Tavern Burger Shrimp Cocktail Hummus & Pita bread Salad Chicken Quesadillas Brownie Cookies Everything was good! I've heard good things and I'm happy that Marlow's lives up to the hype. The servers were great! They were friendly and replenished anything that we needed in a timely manner.

We went to Marlow's Tavern as a party of four on a busy Friday evening and were seated outside pretty quickly, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was great -- lively but comfortable -- and our server was amazing, super attentive and friendly throughout the night. I ordered the grilled steak, which was okay -- not bad, just not particularly memorable. My husband had the steak salad, which he enjoyed overall, though he mentioned the steak was a bit dry on the outside while still pretty raw inside. Overall, it's a nice spot with great service and a welcoming vibe. We'd definitely come back to try a few other dishes next time.

We came here for lunch when we came to the park to explore. Marlow's Tavern has a nicer bar feel to it. Like an upscale Millers Ale House. They have a good selection of American food with a good variety of dietary options. The service we had on this visit was nice! The waiter took good care of us, and helped us sign up for the rewards and discounts at the end. We started with the hummus platter. The portion was a bit small, but the accompaniments were really good, and the flavor was fresh! I got the crab cake sandwich, mom got the veggie burger, and my brother got the cheese burger. No complaints from anyone! All of our sandwiches were great! We liked the location in Waterford Lakes, so as a brand, we knew what we were getting!

My partner and I enjoyed a casual dinner at Marlowe's on a Friday night. Our waiter was fantastic, and the service was fast. I really enjoyed the pomegranate mojito. For our entree's, I did the very veggie burger with fries. Their veggie burger is not trying to pretend to be a meat burger, which I enjoy. The one thing is, the bun used on the veggie burger is not my favorite, but it was my fault that I forgot to ask them to switch it to something else. My partner and I both enjoyed the fries too, however, he was not overly fond of his black and blue burger. He asked for it to be cooked medium, but it came out very well done. He was not able to eat most of it. However, we did not say anything to the server anything, as this is likely a one off instance.

My husband and I walked to Marlows Tavern for dinner. We were able to sit outside and it was very nice. For an appetizer, we picked the asparagus fries. The flavor was nice, but they were tough. My husband had the salmon and really enjoyed it, but it was small portion. I had the fish tacos which were flavorful, but 2 tacos is a small portion. The broccoli was just mid. The service was good but nothing special. Make sure to take advantage of the coupons they offer online sometimes.

I haven't been to Marlow's since 2019 so I was interested to see how the quality and service was. We dined on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy at all. Our order was taken immediately after being seated and our server did an excellent job of asking us questions about how we wanted our food prepared, such as "what dressing would you like on your salad," and "what kind of cheese would you like on your burger?" We started with asparagus fries, which have been a favorite of mine. They were very crispy and the aioli dipping sauce is as good as I remember. Unfortunately, the asparagus was really salty. As for our entrees, I ordered a grilled chicken burger and they were able to accommodate my dietary preferences when I requested no bun. Our server actually asked if I wanted lettuce instead of a bun. My dad ordered a veggie burger, which he said was fine. We also asked for ketchup and our server forgot. He brought it when we were close to being done with our meals and he was very apologetic. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. I'm not rushing to go back but it's great for an easy, casual and reasonable dinner.

My husband and I haven't been to Marlow's Tavern for quite sometime, and when I heard that they improved their lunch menu, we thought we would give them another try. It was a Friday afternoon around 2:00 pm. We decided to sit at the bar. The place was practically empty. We didn't want anything big as to spoil our appetite for dinner. We ordered their Asparagus Fries, which we had in the past and loved, and an order of dry rubbed wings, which we shared. They were very tasty. It seemed like it was taking too long for our order. I asked our female bartender about our food. She said, "I'll go check." She came back with the Asparagus fries only. She said the wings will be out shortly. No, they were not! Again I had to inquire about the wings. There was a gentleman sitting at the bar, but on their patio side. She (the bartender) spent so much time talking with this person instead of being more attentive to her other customers at the bar. It was a bit exasperating! We like the ambience of this restaurant, but their lunch menu was nothing to write home about. My husband and I decided to cross off that place from our list.

Was having a evening out alone and wanted to try somewhere new and swung by here. Smaller restaurant inside than I expected but they had a large patio for when the weather is nice. I was able to be seated fast and my server was nice. I got the filet with the duchess potatoes. The filets were cooked to temperature and had a good flavor. I tried both the compound butter and the the bourbon gorgonzola. The compound butter was fine but the bourbon gorgonzola was delicious. I was suprised that the cuts were two smaller medallions rather than a larger cut. I did not care for the duchess potatoes at all. Just the overall flavor of them were a pass, I wished I would have tried something else. For dessert I tried their crème brûlée. It was light and so good. I'm glad I did. Overall I enjoyed my meal, it was good. I would come back again. Just nothing is drawing me back immediately.

We started with the She Crab Soup, which was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I then ordered the Dirty Rice Entrée, and wow--what an explosion of flavors! It reminded me of a New Orleans-style paella, loaded with perfectly seasoned dirty rice, andouille sausage, shrimp, and an incredible depth of flavor in every bite. My husband began with the French Vegetable Soup, which he described as magnificent, followed by the Short Rib Sliders, which were tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared. For dessert, we indulged in the Peach Cobbler à la Mode, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. It was decadent, comforting, and the perfect ending to the meal. To top it all off, we enjoyed a frothy cappuccino served with a rock candy sugar stick--a beautiful finishing touch. The food, presentation, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. We can't say enough good things about our experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

The people watching was excellent. Alexis took care of us. We had waters and menus right away. We decided on the purple reign and the welcome to the jungle. Both cocktails were fantastic. Our second round, we got the tableside smoked old fashioned and I asked for the hibiscus martini without the St Germain (because it would be overly sweet). Alexis was given authority to make the cocktail as she wished, given they have a staff cocktail which is whatever they wanna make, so I figured she would know what to do. And indeed it was fantastic. We decided to share the pork tacos. It's a two piece so it's simple. It was full of juicy meat and delicious. We cut the corn off the Cobb and enjoyed it. We opted for dessert- the vanilla orange creme Brulee. The sugar was slightly burned and it was not overly sweet. It was good consistency. It would have been better with a dollop of whipped cream - Alexis ran to the kitchen to find some but they didn't have any!!!! I think that's nuts. But I applaud her effort. We sat among regulars. They were very kind. Service was great. All three ladies at the bar helped us. We were never rushed and never ignored. We will be back.

I've never been to a place that serves a classic American farm breakfast without offering butter or preserves for the toast, and to make matters worse, the toast itself was burnt. The food overall was bland and uninspired. When one of us asked for jelly and butter, our server seemed genuinely surprised and confused by the request. He eventually brought the butter out cold and completely unspreadable. This is yet another mid-to-upscale wannabe restaurant that got the most important thing wrong. Save yourself the disappointment and skip this one. You'll thank me later.

The steak frites are just as magnificent as my boyfriend and I remembered. Have you ever had a food memory? Years ago, my dad made the best steak I've ever had. He passed away when I was a kid, and two summers ago, when I took my first bite of the steak here, my mouth watered... but so did my eyes. It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. To taste something so familiar, something I hadn't experienced in over twenty years, was surreal. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. So we each had that For this visit, we started with the rock shrimp tacos, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They packed a nice little kick without overwhelming the dish, and we practically inhaled them. Of course, we had to finish the meal the same way we did last time: with churros. Somehow they were even better than we remembered. Crispy, warm, perfectly sweet, exactly the kind of dessert that makes you argue over who gets the last bite. My boyfriend ordered two Old Fashioneds, and I had two Cosmos. Both were delicious and definitely generous on the pour. I was a little concerned when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation because the place was PACKED for a Thursday night. We ended up waiting a bit past our reservation time. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home.
