    Banana Shakes

The burgers were HOT and juicy! Banana Shake is so thick and creamy. The customer service is always great and their fries and actually PERFECT. I some times get the curly fries too and they're just like Jack in Box style! Highly recommend the Chicken Sandwiches too! Our kids love the baby burger meal with milk and their ice cream is better than any other drive through. Highly recommend, and support this locally owned business. We come here REGULARLY Best drive through, even In & out can't compare

We're currently taking some dance classes down the street and we wanted soemthing quick to take home and eat. We found this gem down the street and decided to try it out. I didn't have the highest expectations going in, I thought it was going to just be an okay fast food burger and I was blown away. We ordered at the drive thru and our food was all made to order, since it took a minute but we didn't mind. She got the avocado burger, and I got the pastrami burger. We also tried a normal fry and the curly fry. She said her burger was full of avocado and she really enjoyed how juicy it was, and mine was in the same boat, super full of pastrami and super juicy and flavorful. The regular fries were okay, but the curly fries were super good and crispy. Whenever we eventually return I'll definitely be getting the curly fries again. Overall I definitely recommend this business to anyone wanting a quick burger that isn't in n out. Very good prices and amazing food!

    Pastrami with a butter-grilled bun

I purchased the Pastrami Combo with fries and upgraded large Pepsi. Substituted the fries for zucchini sticks- which I appreciated- and purchased another order of zucchin sticks and large Pepsi for someone else. That said, the pastrami sandwich was really good. I was hoping the fried zucchini sticks were made from scratch. Unfortunately, they weren't, but this was just a first time seeing and trying experience. I'm new to the area. The Pepsi was sparkling fresh. Plus+ Plus+ in my book! The restaurant was clean. The cashier was really super nice. I appreciated that. All in all the food was delicious. What might have made the visit better: Being acknowledge through a greeting when I walked up; I stood there waiting for about 3 minutes- ready to order. The owner was standing in front of the cash register looking at a piece of equipment (a headset), but I think this prevented the cashier from taking my order, until he finished what he was doing, which didn't have anything to do with her taking my order. I'm only mentioning it because I could tell the cashier wanted to take my order, but she wasn't able to. It's just a nice acknowledgement to patrons. I KNOW he didn't do this on purpose. He was just preoccupied. Also 1/4 of my pastrami sandwich bun had no pastrami. BUT having said that, they buttered and grilled the bread, and the flavor and crispiness was PERFECT! So it kind of made up for that. I'm thinking the empty 1/4 bun was probably just oversight. As you could tell the way they prepared the food, they do a really great job in flavor and also packaging. So I definitely think it was not intentional. I spent a total of approx $26 on my visit for a combo meal plus adding on an extra large Pepsi and zucchini stick. The zucchini stick at $5.99 is a bit pricey IMO for the amount in the bag. I think it's about 8 sticks the size of a mozzarella stick. The soda $3.45 was a good price for the sparkling fresh fizz! The combo meal price at $17 upgraded was decent. I'd like to do comparison experience for pastrami and zucchini. I'm new to the area. I appreciate they gave me 3 banana peppers with my pastrami. I'd like to come back and try their cheeseburgers next time with a large Pepsi. The Pepsi rocks! You should definitely try this place. I'd suggest sticking with fries in the combo though if you're a zucchini fan like me.

    peanut butter sundae with nuts!!

    Mushroom Burger

The food was outstanding!! We got a bacon burger, pastrami burger, mushroom burger, and a baby burger. All of them were hot, fresh, and totally homemade tasting! Fries were good too!! We tried the crinkle and curly- crispy, hot, and perfectly seasoned! Okay and don't forget to get a dipped cone when you're done, very nostalgic! The place itself is very old school, reminded me of an early 90s Burger King. Ice cream machine was noisy but it added to the charm lol Cools were working hard in the kitchen and the lady at the register was friendly and patient while we decided what to order. The best part- everything was insanely affordable!! We will be back!!!

Mushroom burger with lots of grilled mushrooms and perfectly caramelized onions.

I was in the neighborhood so I decided to try this place again. The place is still very bright and clean, and the menu hasn't changed. A wide selection of a lot of different things. Primarily, crêpes and burgers. (of course) I decided to go with the Greek crepe. Cheddar, onions, feta, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and black olives. For my side, I chose the salad. Just as good as before. First of all, the salad, the greens were very fresh, and the vinaigrette had a nice tang to it. It was not overdressed as some people do on salads. The crêpe itself, it was tender, and it was large. They were very generous with the fillings, and everything played well with each other. I was kind of curious about mixing feta and cheddar, but it was amazingly good. The saltines of the feta was a wonderful contrast to the creaminess of the cheddar cheese. Both cheeses went well with the entire crêpe. I was going to try one of the dessert crêpes, but after this thing, I was full. Next time I will come in specifically for a dessert crêpe. Thanks again for another great meal

I love Hot Bunz overall, but my experiences in 2026 have been very hit or miss…read more Several years ago, when I was still living in the government housing projects, I read an article about this new restaurant Hot Bunz, who was coming in hot as direct competition to In N Out. They were being advertised as like, a more "hood" version of In N Out. The food would be saucier, the fries would be stacked higher, and, most importantly, bacon and jalapeños would be available options. When I saw a location in Elk Grove, I assumed it was the original. I tried it, loved it, tried it again, and loved it again. This pattern went on for a while. Overall, my experiences have been mostly positive. Overall, I like Hot Bunz better than the competition. They are a little pricier, but it's *usually* worth it. Recently, I noticed this location on Sunrise, found out that it was in fact the *original* location, and decided to give it a try. The burger was good. I would never want to discourage anyone from trying this small business. I mostly want to hype them up. But I also want to be honest that if either of my last two experiences with Hot Bunz had been my first, they would have also been my last. A few weeks ago, I had a less than stellar experience at the Elk Grove location. My food was good, but did not nearly live up to the brand expectations. I thought, surely this was just a fluke incidence. Surely the OG location will be even better. Upon entering the Sunrise location, I was immediately impressed with the artwork on the walls. The murals themselves are like a slap in the face to all the major competitors. I loved that there was no line. I had actually been on my way to my favorite In N Out location, but came here instead due to an obscene line. Someone from the back yelled out, "I'll be right with you!" I could hear him washing dishes for a few minutes before he came out. It felt clear that I had arrived during a break in the storm, and he was trying to catch up. I asked him what came on the OG, and either he was extremely stoned, or he has a speech impediment that is so severe that maybe he shouldn't be working the front counter (but what I'm saying is: he was high AF). Look, it's no secret that virtually all restauranteurs are high virtually all the time. I'm not trying to be a Karen, I'm just saying that literally the only two words I could make out were "patties" and "grilled onions." I said, "let me just try that." "No fries or drink?" "No, just the burger." "Nine seventy. HEY! IT'S JUST AN OG!" He began yelling to the back before turning his body, resulting in him yelling in my face. Of course, I would never expect the burger I receive to look exactly like the burger in the picture-- but this didn't even look like the same burger that was being advertised on the promotional signage. The burger in the promo was stacked high with some kind of slaw, pickles, and sauce. My actual burger had barely any toppings. As someone who worked at McDonald's for a few years as a teenager, I felt that this burger had exactly the same amount of rizz as regular cheeseburger from Ronald. I came here for an "extra" burger, but (as evidenced by the picture I uploaded) received a burger that could have come from any public country club kitchen. And, while these onions may have graced the grill, the onions I received are not what most people would refer to as "grilled onions." I'm not sure if Hot Bunz is going downhill, or if I just had two fluke bad experiences in a row.

And while the wings are also excellent (I didn't try any of the other offerings), it is the smashburger that I highly recommend, and for which I am adding my 5-star rating. Finding TTB was a bit of an adventure. There is no visible signage from the parking lot. You enter from the parking lot under a sign that reads "SF Super Market". Then you walk toward the supermarket ahead, but turn left to go under the sign that says Saigon Street Food Court. And then you need to locate the TTB counter inside. And for this smashburger fan, the journey was definitely worth it. The smashburger patties are large, with the requisite crispy edges, yet juicy and beefy in the middle. And even with all that goodness inside the bun, the bun itself remains perfectly intact. It is a giant, yet easily navigable sandwich, and it is delicious. Just the right amount of melted cheese and condiments, everything fresh-tasting. We also tried the onion rings (perfectly crispy) and the wings (with a crunchy coating over juicy, tasty chicken). The fries were a bit thicker than I like, as I am a shoestring-fries fan. But they had a bit of crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside. The chef/owner, Young, took our order, went back inside the kitchen, and then brought everything out to our table. He is a terrific guy, and so pleasant to interact with. With eight or so restaurants in the food court, there are plenty of tables and chairs for eating inside. The whole burger experience was comfortable, and I definitely look forward to returning. All of Young's offerings are fairly priced, and as should be obvious, I highly recommend TTB for an outstanding smashburger experience.
