Damn good breakfast burritos. Bacon-Ham-Sausage was a meaty masterpiece rolled up in a large soft flour tortilla and filled with eggs, cheese and potatoes. Two house made salsa were served on the side and they both complimented the burrito to perfection. Bacon breakfast burrito was just as good. Tried this place for the first time tonight. Got a double cheese combo. The food was good. The service was friendly and quick. It seems some of their burgers have a smokey/mesquite flavor. So if that's your thing, you'll love the flavor. The burger was loaded with fresh toppings. My only remark is that this is definitely not a '$' affordable burger place (any more?). I hardly ever post reviews, but I had to for this place. Customer service was horrible, walked in and right away, the associate asked me to wait a moment as they were busy handling orders for the drive thru. Twelve minutes later, I was finally able to put in my order, a double classic with cheese combo. I went and sat down to wait for my food. The associate came and provided me my order, I said thank you, but received no response as the associate just turned around and walked off. As I pulled my food out of the bag, noticed I only got a small portion of fries (see photo below). At this point, I was already disappointed in the place and didn't bother to say anything. The bacon was nice and thick! We loved the onion rings, zucchini and chili cheese fries! All the portions are huge! They have a great beverage selection and their Oreo shake was to die for! There are so many things on the menu including some salads and sandwiches that I want to try. They have breakfast too! We're definitely going to try to come back during happy hour from 2 to 4 PM where you get a burger, fries and a Coke for $4.99. I am a value hunter. I went to cooking school I'm picky af. It's long, so don't waste your time. Gave the business time to season the grill. Turned up around 1030. PM and got a girl voice who claimed 'I' was breaking up ! Khurr crackle, buzzz, hissss. Actually, there wasn't any of those sounds... A more, 'hip, his' voice suddenly replaced hers and the ordering was a little off because every flavor on the shake menu had commas except banana pineapple. Is the shake banana pineapple only? You want a banana pineapple? Can you make a banana only shake? Do you want a banana shake?, type banter. We went a few clarifying rounds as the order was only banana but they can essentially mix any of the flavors. The drive through was wait appropriate as there was a car in front. The restaurant seating was empty and it seemed reasonably staffed although it was obvious the workers were 'not really there' and, it was near closing time. I wasn't sure if there was a manager on duty? I enjoy green chili burgers and like to try out who has the latest one around town. No two are alike! Keep in mind, I receive the food in the drive through and eat in the dark, tonight. The shake: chemical icy cream mixed with chemical flavor. 2 Spoons, 1 for effort. The shake was over spun and was half melted so the liquid part rose to the top and spilled down my shirt unknowingly at the time. The first sip made me taste again and again. It lacks everything if using the state fair award system. Shakes should be thick and take time to enjoy! Ortega Burger: 2 forks (1 for effort) I dug into the burger wrapper and revealed the top quarter to eat. The bun is enormous. It is 2/3'rds the burger. It's warehouse bakery supplied so shelf life is limited due current temps. Getting the first bite in when served is about 3" tall, thinking you are getting into a big patty, however, and sadly the meat is flavorless and thin. The lettuce should be kept ice cold, but arrives less than crisp on the burger, tomato's were cheap and flavorless. Even the taste of onion was not evident. The precooked (canned) green chili does not get on the grill and lays on the cheese slowing the melting time. (I know, this is tough. This one of the first burgers that actually oozed with pepper Jack cheese. Maybe it was processed cheese? Yes, I now think so! Anyway, nice touch. The bun is not toasted and had the texture of going slightly stale. The smear is an aioli mayoli and is pleasant. I hacked away at the upper bread to reduce carb intake . To sink your teeth into one these Ortega burgs is odd. Especially if the flavors all run together when chewing. I guess that's the point, there was no real satisfaction in the shake or the signature burger. Hence, a mediocre review! Overall: OVERHAUL! Get the owner to taste test everything. If they don't eat it, neither do we! I am from the camp that INnSHOUT is the gold standard, at least in value, effort, longevity and taste. The burger is pounded thin, soft and grainy. The bun is ridiculously large. There is little Greatness to the brand or uniqueness. A good try, but at $7.80 a sandwich for mostly bread, ow! PS. The T-shirt was ruined by the time I got home. This original, independent place with friendly staff is always there for just the right thing. Opens early and closes late, with quality ingredients and a wide range of options for most palates and dietary preferences. Favorites for me include the mesquite grilled double classic double burger with cheese, and the turkey burger. Wide variety of ads-in's, too. Tried the 3 meat omelette with hash browns for breakfast today and was pleased all around. Nice dining room, so I like to skip the drive-thru and eat while the food is freshest. Yo stop knocking this place because of the Unereats app. Lame. For those of us who live on the south side, or in Tempe, or just not near an in and out burger I'm telling you this is the spot to go to. The burgers are gigantic and legit. They have a buy one get one for a $0.49 burger after 3 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to close they have a deal where you can get a burger, a sundae, fries and a drink all for $4.99. What makes this place special is the fact that they hand make everything. One particular item that I absolutely enjoy, which isn't on the drive-thru menu, is there fried broccoli with Chipotle dipping sauce. Check the photo from my review for a comprehensive list of their dipping sauces. What's even better is now they have cheese crisps with handmade fresh pico de gallo and chips. So if you want a quick Mexican food snack I would recommend going here instead of the Filibertos down the street. You can check my review on that particular location as well. Burger Rush is seriously so freaking delicious and legit I can't say enough good things about them. They have milkshakes as well which are incredible and hotdogs which I haven't tried yet. We placed our order via amazon prime now restaurants. Had a customized request and ordered some extras. our deliver window was between 6:44pm and 7:09pm. we checked the status at 6:50 and it says that a driver has our order. a few minutes later, it says that our order is still being processed. 7:05pm rolls around and our order is still being processed. We hadn't been back in well over a year so we tried them today and we super disappointed. We ordered a Denver omelette and chorizo burrito. We didn't realize they had accidentally made a chorizo omelette instead till we got home. The Denver omelette was burned and over salted. There was more onion and bell pepper in the home fries than actual potatoes- they were unseasoned and the dice on the potatoes was super small so they got cold on the way home. After a Royals spring training game at the Cubs park, we hit this place because it was after 10 pm and the Yelp reviews/pics told us we wouldn't be disappointed. I'm telling you, this was outstanding. I had the Colossal Burger that has pastrami on it...OMG...divine. Hubby had the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich, and it may have been even more divine. We shared a fry and enjoyed those as well. And, they had bottles of Mexican Coke which made me so happy. I so wish we could have hit this place once more while we were in AZ. BEWARE! Do not use the drive-thru. I just waited 15 minutes for a breakfast burrito. Not one other car in front of me and honestly it didn't seem like anyone was inside either. The 2 cars behind me ended up leaving and I would've done the same had I not already paid. The food is decent, but not worth the wait. I've had a burger a few times and it was good, but for the price and the exponential wait times, I think I'm done with this place.
