UPDATE: After a response from a "business manager", I have downgraded my latest experience to 2-stars. Apparently management is aware of the problems with their fries and rings and continues to sell inferior products at full price. Incredible disrespect for customers, either repeat or first-time. That being the case, we will not be returning to the Costa Mesa restaurant. There are plentiful dining options in the area who value customers. Bye Bye! We've been going here for a few years and were put off by our "last" visit. First, had to order from their POS screen. That's only a problem when you want to order onion rings and there's no option on the screen. Settled by ordering large fries. When our order was delivered, I told the gentleman that I really wanted onion rings. He was awesome and apologized, then said he'd bring us an order of rings and told us to keep the fries. Nice! However, turns out the fries were some of the worst ever. Soggy. Cold. Flavorless. Minutes later he brought us a pathetic glob of rings. The batter had fallen off the onions, which was really a shame. The crunchy bits at the bottom of the bag were actually tasty. As for our burgers? All were delicious. The concept of customers placing their order on screen? Leave that to tasteless food restaurants like McDonald's. The gentleman who brought us our food should be taking orders and upselling customers. He was outstanding! Not sure we will return here any time soon. Cheers! read more

For quick service, I enjoy this spot and I especially appreciate all the VEGAN options here. From burgers, to cheese, sauce and even milkshakes. There's two vegan burger options. I like the house made patty. It does tend to fall apart but that's completely normal when you're not using a binder like eggs. I've gone to BL a few times over the years and it's typically been good, however, tonight. Food and ambiance have always been fine, however, tonight? The service was a disorganized mess. I am sympathetic towards folks in the service industry, however, a guest should never have to wait 40 minutes for their meal. It wasn't the wait time that was the issue, it was the rude and ignorant attitude the on duty manager had towards the customers. Word of wise, kiosk orders do not have priority over orders taken by a person. read more

The customer service is truly the worst I have ever experienced. I wish I could have gotten the "managers" name but I was so distraught and taken back by her rude and condescending attitude towards me and my sister. Not only was she rude, but started laughing at us in front of other customers. THE WORST!!! I was really loving coming here and enjoying the bleu cheese grass fed burger. It was great everything honestly was great I couldn't be happier that I have found this one special place I can call my burger place.

My friends took me here for the first time on our way home from Newport Beach and it absolutely blew me away. The service was great and attentive. It was nice and cold inside even tho it was 90 degrees outside. The bun just melts into the burger for a delightful bite. Their onion ring batter is surprisingly great. It was ok. I did a lettuce wrapped burger. They don't put the sauce that was in the description on the burger so I asked for some. I got a half of their sauce cup it was very tasty ( house made thousand island) but it wasn't enough to cover the burger. The meat on the burger was very try. If you're craving a juicy burger this is not the place for you. The fries were not bad not great. I wouldn't go there when I was craving fries. All in all just ok. What a huge decline! This place has gone from being good to downright disappointing. The fries and onion rings are always cold and stale, and the burgers are just average at best. There are far better burger options around, especially considering the price. The service has also deteriorated. The staff doesn't even seem to know the ingredients on their own burgers. We were told the food would take 25-30 minutes, which is absurd for a burger joint. I've never been to a place where burgers take that long. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best. Did they make our burgers in 10 minutes and let them sit around for 20? Burger Lounge desperately needs an overhaul--everything from the staff, to the food quality, to their overall operations. The burger industry is highly competitive, and if they don't make changes soon, I don't see how they will stay open. read more

Been coming here for awhile now. There's a consistency that brings us back, from customer service to cleanliness and a great burger. The area that needs some improvement would be their fries and onion rings. They are much tastier at other establishments in the area. The staff works with a smile especially Daniel! He's always professional, eager to help and executes the expo part in a timely manner. The place is kept clean. And they have now added a kiosk you can order from in order to cut back waiting in line to order which is great! Please work on the horrible smell in the bathroom and keep them a more tidy. Ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger and fries to be delivered by Door Dash. Next to Islands, this was one of the best Mushroom Swiss Burgers I've had. Considering it was delivered, I was even more impressed. The fries weren't so great , but I have yet had delivered fries that are good. Probably great at the restaurant. I ordered my Lounge Burger ($6.95 for 1/4 lb) and large fry/onion ring ($5.95) to go. The Lounge Burger comes with organic American cheese, grilled onions, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, BL 1000 Island (whatever that means) on top of a grass fed beef burger patty. Also noted, everything sandwiched between a dry ass bun. My burger was no bueno. There were no remnants of that special sauce, and the burger patty + bun was dry as hell. I also didn't appreciate the one million pieces of shredded lettuce because it was a mess to eat. Not a great burger experience. The fries were not that great; they were a little mealy. The onion rings were good along with the dipping sauces (ranch and thousand island). I only ate half of my burger. No thanks. read more

The Mushroom Swiss burger is bomb. They have great kids options and clean restaurant. The to go area can get a little crowded, but they manage well. Floors are super slippery when wet, so be cautious! Wish there was a solution for that part. They have awesome drinks too!!! read more

First time here, we had a Truffle mushroom swiss burger and Bacon blue burger. Both were very good. You can definitely taste the difference in meat. The onion rings were very good, didn't care for the fries, but I'm not a big fry eater! I would pass on the specialty shakes. I was pleased, that they made a medium, rare burger. My search continues as I look for more burger spots to add to my rotation. I've been to Burger Lounge before but that was many years ago to one of their SD locations. Honestly I barely remember anything about that visit so I needed to give them another shot. One major appealing thing about them is that they use grass fed beef. Initially I wanted to get the Husky that I saw on their site because it comes with two 4oz patties but I was told they took that off the menu but suggested I get a double lounge burger which is pretty much the same thing. I also got an order of onion rings. The burger itself was visually stunning and pretty much what you want a nice craft burger to look like. While you can tell they use good quality ingredients and the burger was thoughtfully prepared it just didn't do it for me. My main problem was it was so bland, which really surprised me. Usually with a well seasoned patty, the sauces and cheese that's usually enough flavor for any burger. With this one I got the nice char from the burger but nothing else between the buns really elevated it. Not sure if this just wasn't my cup of tea or if I had an unseasoned burger. But I felt a few more flakes of salt would've really been great. While I'm not a big fan of breaded onion rings, I prefer battered ones, the flavor of the well seasoned onion rings and sweet ketchup really stood out compared to the blandness of the burger. read more

Food- amazing juicy burgers. Not too salty like habit; not as overpriced as other chains especially with the inflation buster menu. I absolutely love the taste of grass fed beef and this has become my favorite go-to burger joint every time I'm in Costa Mesa. Fries are really good too, buns are soft and tasty. Order off the inflation buster menu and you will get a drink for $2 and a great quality burger for $8. Clean, modern interior if you plan to eat in. Highly recommend!!! read more
