The café is spacious and clean. I ordered an egg, cheese and potato breakfast burrito. There was an option for meat but I just wanted something light. They made it very quickly The owner of the staff were very accommodating and the burrito and the salsa taste wonderful

Super small breakfast burrito (tasted good though) and the lady at the counter just had it sitting there behind the bar. We physically had to ask the cook for it because it was just sitting there (we waited 20 minutes before we asked and it was empty in there). She was lazy. Restrooms were clean. I'd go there again if I was in a pinch for time and needed to grab something premade.

Very convenient location to wait for patients. Clean, open and airy, tv with fake fireplace. Outdoor and indoor dining. Very nice employees and nice variety of food. Had breakfast first and then taking food to go for my husband. I think he'll love the red lentil stew.

It's clean and the service is so nice and they want you to enjoy what they serve. They have coffee selection and a grab and go area like bagels, yogurt, bananas or a chef that cooks your meal. It's inbetween the parking structures with in and outside seating

Onion and mushroom burger. Delicious! Juicy! Worth coming back !!

I purposely planned an hour between doctor visits at 510 and 520. The reason was so that I could have a nice lunch at 538. The menu is very very basic however I had no problem choosing a hamburger I really had my mindset on. I was not disappointed! The burger itself was juicy and not overdone and the bun was tender yet sturdy enough to hold together while I ate the entire burger. The size was so large that I couldn't even finish the entire burger. The fries were tasty, not over seasoned, and somewhat crispy. Not as crispy as I would have liked, But they were still very good. Overall, it is a nice little space to eat an enjoyable lunch.

Today we placed an online order and then walked across the parking lot to get our meal. We opted for the single cheeseburger, a side of fries and a Coke. The Coke was OK. It had a little off taste to the mix. Not quite sure what it was, but probably wouldn't order it again. Cheeseburger they are perfection. I don't understand why you would eat at a larger hamburger chain style restaurant when you can get a local burger. If that makes sense. Service is super friendly when we arrived. Now parking can be a little tough obviously with the beach proximity and the other shops and restaurants. There is a few public parking lots across the street closer to the crab cooker. But the burger was freshly prepared. It was a good portion and we love the bun and all the toppings and it just really brought back some great memories. We are still local but just haven't been into TK in a while. Ironically, I had a party several years ago and I hired their food truck, which was incredible.

When I visited on a weekday for an early lunch I was the only customer sitting inside but there was a near constant flow of people getting to-go orders. You order either at a kiosk or at the counter. There was only one guy working, doing everything, while I was there. He was amazing. I ordered a cheeseburger (minus onion), sidewinder fries, and a salted caramel milkshake. They make everything to order so it takes a few minutes (especially when there's only one worker) but it's worth the wait. He delivered it to my table when it was ready. My American waygu burger with melted cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and secret sauce in a potato bun was one of the best burgers I've had. While all the toppings were fresh and delicious, I think the flavorful, perfectly cooked, high quality beef is what put it over the top. The thick sidewinder fries were really great too. They're thick like steak fries but curved like a snake. I was provided ketchup and "secret sauce" for dipping. And my salted caramel shake was incredible. I've had a multitude of caramel shakes elsewhere that just tasted like sweet vanilla, but this one had a vibrant caramel flavor and you could see gobs of caramel swirled within the shake. I loved the massive amount of whipped cream on top too. What a great meal! Thanks to Yelper Amy B. who brought this place to my attention. I wish I tried a milkshake but glad I didn't order it because I was so full and couldn't even finish my burger. I'd definitely come back and check out other menu items in the future. Totally understandable as it's peak summer, and a weekend, they get busy. The restaurant was hot and humid. Now I'm sure they have AC, and even with all the windows and patio doors being open, they really should have opted to use the AC. The entire dining experience was uncomfortable. We ate our meal literally sweating. Even our server was sweating lol All our drinks went room temp in a matter of 10 minutes, we had to repeatedly ask for glasses of ice from the bar just to try and mitigate our body temperatures somehow. Also, the booth itself was incredibly tacky. And I don't mean visually tacky, I mean the texture. The feeling of plastic when it gets really old and it feels sticky to the touch, that tacky. You couldn't slide in or out of that booth if your life depended on it. And again, considering how humid and hot the interior was, it only made it worse. The lighting was also so dim that it gave the vibes of being sat in the corner of a musky Denny's diner lol. Halfway through our meal they turned the lights off for dinner service (I get it, to set the mood) but it made the table so dark we had to ask them to turn them back on so we could see the food on our plates. It wasn't that the entire restaurant was dim, it's certain tables (and sadly ours was definitely one of them) We had a party of 6, and one person got their meal well before the rest of the table. We of course insisted she begin eating, which she did, and our remaining meals came out as soon as she was done with hers. The waiter removed her plate as he set down everyone else's lol. The food was good, but, again with how uncomfortable the environment was, it was hard to enjoy. The restaurant was also fairly empty throughout our meal. We got there before 5 so that awkward "linner" time frame. Even so, we had to flag down our waiter for another round of drinks, water, etc. The Shorebird absolutely has stunning views, and that's what they're known for. Their food is solid, mist dishes fairly justifies the high price point. This visit was just not their best. Overall service and ambiance, fell extremely flat. I set the bar high for my guests, as they traveled in from out of town and I raved about my experience from a few months back. Granted, I was sat at the patio, overlooking the beautiful view, and the service was impeccable. With all the stellar dining options in Newport, unless you find yourself at a table on the balcony, I don't think Shorebird is the obvious choice. You'll end up spending the money regardless so you may as well look for a spot that is guaranteed to meet the expectations of the price point without having to be dependent on a view.
